absolutely devastated and shocked

I'm sorry not a question but just have to get this off my chest, my cat didn't return home last night, very unusual and worried indeed. Then tonight i discovered that she was killed by a builder, apparently she 'kept getting in the way' so he hit her over the head with his spade and murdered her. I cannot believe anyone would do such a thing, i have recovered her body and contacted the rspca who are taking it very seriously, i am so upset and disgusted that a human could do such a thing, she was such a friendly cat. I don't know how he can sleep at night... She was a much loved part of the family, the house will not be the same without her. I hope he gets whats coming to him

OMG I am crying reading this post. What a B**S***D. Has someone witnessed that that is prepared to make statement to the RSPCA?

I would want to kill him myself if this happened to my Missey.

Big hugs to you and your family xxx
  • yeah there is a witness, i was told through a third party so now i have to find the witness and see if he will make a statement. I'm hoping he will, but i know the place where it happened they are building a small block of flats, i have the company name and number so they can narrow it down to small amount of builders that are working on site, i'm just totally shocked by the whole thing
  • thats absolutely disgusting, that builder has committed a criminal offence and i hope he gets whats due to him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • jeez that is so shocking and brutal - I am horrified, how heartbreaking for you.

Thats so awful! I'm so sorry!!

If possible I would press charges against him as he should be made to suffer in some way too.

Lots of love and hugs from another cat lover,

  • That is one of the most vile things I have ever heard, if I could get my hands on that man

By "getting in his way" I assume he means being friendly - they should just lock him up now before some unsuspecting person "gets in his way".

My heart goes out to you, it is hard enough knowing that you will lose your cat at some point to old age but to be robbed of so many happy years by a sadistic !!!!!! like that is just sickening.

If he's a builder working on a local development, I'd urge you to get in touch with his employers (and if the company are working for, say, a housing association or the council, them too). I would also report this to the police and get a crime number - he's killed your cat, which is very important to you, and crucially (for the police and his employer) destroyed your property and brought the firm into disrepute. At the very least I would insist that his employers take disciplinary action against him as this is really unacceptable.

  • Thank you for all your kind words, yes she was always a extremely friendly cat and used to follow people around. I have contacted the RSPCA who are going to investigate and take the necesary steps. I have the number for the office who is building the new development, i want to get on the phone first thing monday morn and take the matter up with them, he is representing their company and should be dealt with by them also, but i'm not sure if doing so will affect the RSPCA's case
