How absolutely awful for you. I can't even imagine where you'd begin to get your head round this. I'd be very tempted to go public, but it may not be in your best interests longterm.
I think too that you need to log with with the police ASAP. Report it now and then you can update the police report as and when you get more information.
This sounds awful to ask, but do you have any clue where your cat is now? It may help if you could find out what he did afterwards?"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Thank you every one, i feel so angry/sad/numb and full of what ifs, she was only with us for a year but was a member of our family, she died so young. I will contact the police tomorrow, and i will have to find the witness, without him i'm worried that they will not be able to take it any further. The RSPCA have phoned me several times already and i have one of the cruelty officers coming to my home on monday. I was distraught so my sister went and found her body in a bin next to the building site, she couldn't be sure of it was definately her and i could not bring myself to look at her body, but she took her to the vets and got her identified from her microchip.
She is currently back at the vets in the freezer (horrible to imagine) but they need to keep her body as evidence, i think the rspca will be collecting her from there after they visit me on monday. I have been told to find details of the witness, but i'm not allowed to approach him and discuss the incident as it may interfear with the evidence.
I really do want to go public so everyone knows how sick this pathetic excuse for a human is, but i am bein cautious as i want him caught and prosecuted so he could not do this to another animal again.
Thanks agin you have all been so supportive, it is helping me a great deal, i will keep you updated with the progress

Kate, what a terrible thing to go through. There is enough animal suffering without this excuse for a human being doing that to a much loved cat for no reason whatsoever(not that there EVER is a reason for hurting an animal)
But it sounds hopeful that the RSPCA are taking it seriously, and so they should.Yes they get slagged off and sometimes people cannot understand their reasoning, but heck, what would animals do without them? This world would be a dreadful place for animal if it weren't for them doing their best.
I do hope in time you can get over this and remember your cat with a smile but it is bound to hurt for a long time.0 -
Just to echo everyone else's sentiments too - I am so sorry too. My cat was killed by a dog (with the owner egging it on). The RSPCA wouldn't take any action - we offered a reward to find the chap & he was interviewed but no arrest and no further action. There are I am sorry to say, some heartless so and so's out there. Take care of yourself

I just wanted to echo what everyone else has been saying - I am so sorry you have had to go through this. I wish you all the best for getting that scum of a person punished as severely as possible. What a *******.0

((((((((Kate)))))))) I have no words Honey, I'm so very, very sorry.
Its at times like this I wish I believed in Hell, because whatever else happens to him in this life there would be the satisfaction of knowing that cruel, selfish b******d would end up burning in Hell.
Whatever the police and the RSPCA do, surely the least that should happen is that he is sacked? How can a company justify keeping someone who has done something so evil on site?My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
Proud to be a chic shopper

How very very evil. In fact, Id think most of the other men on the site if they saw this happen would feel totally sickened by it so dont give up asking for witnesses.
How on earth could anyone have done that to a defenceless animal. You must be devastated.
Please update us on this.0 -
Oh my Goodness, that is truly awful, Big hugs to you and I hope that he gets what he deserves. xx0

That's so disgusting of him i'm so angry for you, sure if someone smashed a shovel over his clearly "empty aside from the sea of crap" head he'd feel a bit differently about being such a horrible git.Debt which IS NOW GONE before 31.12.2011: CC - GONE!!! :j Loan: GONE!! :j

The RSPCA and the courts will take this very seriously, it's quite possible this scumbag will go to jail for this, here are some recent cases that resulted in jail:
John Martell (40) of Mulberry Court, Pendleton kicked, punched and stamped on his dog because he was having `a really bad day' was jailed for 12 weeks. On 7/11/08 at Salford magistrates Martell was also banned from ever keeping or owning another animal as a result of the brutal attack, which was captured on CCTV.
Sean Bushell-Clarke (26) of Bulford Road, Liverpool, was jailed after stabbing his dog to death and burying him in a shallow grave in his back garden. On 9/5/08 Liverpool magistrates sent him to prison for four months and banned from keeping animals for five years. Bushell-Clarke admitted punching the four-month-old puppy about 10 times before stabbing him in his back.
William David Streeter (28) of Cloyfin Park, Coleraine, Belfast viciously beat and strung up a one-year-old golden retriever in a terrifying attack spanning two days. At North Antrim magistrates on 28/5/08 he admitted seven counts of animal cruelty and a further count of threatening to kill his wife. He also pleaded guilty to threatening to kill Ms McMonagle two days later. On 18/7/08 he was sentenced to six months in jail. As part of his sentence, he was banned from having an animal for 10 years.0
