thats terrible, i'm so sorry, i dread to think what kind of person he must be, i hope he doesnt have any children or pets himself! i bet they give him a fine for a thousand pounds or so and ban him from keeping animals for a few years which obviously wouldnt bother him since he obviously hates them so, but if he did the same to a person that then got up and walked away it would be treated a lot more seriously! it makes me so angry, our cat is as much a part of our family as any of the human members, any kind of abuse should be treated as such:mad:

How awful - that's horrendous and what a way for your poor cat to end its life.

Have you contacted the Police and what have they advised you to do?

Im not sure if its legal or not but I would be down at that building site taking photos of as many of those builders as I could in the hope that the witness could identify the one that did it.That way you can show the photo to the company as well once the police etc have investigated.

Cat or not that is a member of your family and in my eyes murder. I hope this man is punished. Its truly disgusting and I feel for your family. If anyone did that to my little girl I would not be accountable.

I would not advise you take photo's of employees at the building site for identification purposes as this should be done by the police or RSPCA.
What you should do is identify the witness and enquire if they would be willing to make a statement either to the Police or RSPCA. As this is the only witness I cannot see it going anywhere with out their co-operation.

:( I'm not an animal lover but can't bear the thought of anyone hurting animals as they are SO defenceless. Your poor catty :( I am SO sorry for you. It is bad enough when a pet dies naturally, even worse when they get ran over, but to be murdered, well thats just unforgivable. What an awful awful person.

I would suggest you track down the witness asap before the builder gets to him. Speak to the police when you have evidence and let them deal with it. Under no circumstances speak to the builder/firm as the builder may try and interfere with the witness or have more time to think up a story. Keep him in the dark. The ball is in your court, don't give it back to him. Once the matter has been fully dealt with, THEN speak to his employer.

Good god, I won't even let anyone kill a spider, never mind a poor catty :( So so sorry for you :(

edit: a lot of people have recently said RPSCA have been useless, but Cats protection league have been good so if RSPCA are no use then try CPL :)

Run free sweet puss cat. What goes around, comes around......
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
  • You need to positively identify the guy. And then have someone who's not involved follow him home to find out where he lives. Just so that you have that information.

And then in a few months time, deal with him. I am ALL for advocating violence in this case, sod all of this moral lala PC nonsense.

Just channel your anger into being sure of who and where. And then sit on it.

    xx

Personally I don't think it's worth potentially getting yourself into bother over. If you do take ts_ally2000's advice then how will the bloke know what he's getting beaten up for without landing yourself in a whole load of sh*t? And how would it stop him from hurting another animal in the same way. IMO it's far better to chase for a criminal offence, then he'll be well and truly publically named and shamed and be out of pocket and have a criminal record. Mind you a good kick in the gonads would definitely feel like "natural justice".

Yes, I agree with that too. ;)

Thing is, it's always made me feel better to gather the information, by which time I usually end up doing nothing anyway. But I never forget. It's just good for channeling your anger and coping with it. There are still people on my list, from even 10-years ago.

Ironically things happen to them (you read it on Facebook) or they become good people in the end. In which case, they redeemed themselves.
