It would constitute an R&R even if it was overcharge by a penny, I don't think I could do it for a penny though - but you never know.

Yes, they should be identical.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Where the difference is just a penny, only packs over about 500g would actually work out to be overcharged. The pack price could be the same despite the 1p difference, depending on weight due to rounding.0 -

I had the same attitude a while back, but have noticed that on a large number of products Tesco reduce the price by just 1p on occasions.
For example products go from £2.98 to £2.97 (before leaping up to £3.49 a couple of weeks later) etc.
I'm of the mind this is a cynical attempt on their behalf to allow them to display posters such as "1000's of price cuts each week". Or perhaps it's an attempt to keep up with Asda's pricing model which often has things priced at £x.97.
Either way they are trying to give the impression of wide scale price-cuts/matching which to all intents and purposes won't make an iota of difference to my final shopping bill.
On this basis I have no qualms about asking for an R&R on an item that has a 1p price change, if they want to convince me that a 1p price change is a genuine "cut", then I want to make sure I get it at the checkout!

firstly, welcome.
secondly, the leaflet you refer to no longer exists, it expired in february.adie2001 wrote:The printer you mention which is independent of the SEL system is the A1 printer. Only PID staff have the key and as you say are restricted to Extra stores. Ours recieved one as pasrt of a refit recently.
we have had the system for a couple of years and we had an apple mac before that. the only downside to the whole system is the cost of the ink and paper!!Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!
I don't exist, it is merely your imagination.

There is now a new leaflet out for Tesco mobiles which says up to £15 off certain models. Back in Feb there was a similar promotion on mobiles and a particular mobile was coming up as a misprice in a number of stores so a lot of people got r&r. With this new mobile offer i don`t think any misprices have been found yet.0 -

On the front of the leaflet it states that some phones go up in price after Sunday though! They may slip up in some stores, so watch carefully!Keep SmilingSite member number 24

OK I'm totally sorry for being a dunce at this, but can someone give me a Tesco-mispricing-for-dummies rundown please.
I think I understand what the signs say, but does that mean if I go to a checkout with a widget that has an SEL of £5 but it scans at £7, I entitled to one of these free:
[a] Widget
Widget + £2
[c] Widget + £5
[d] Widget + £7
[e] £2
[f] £5
[g] £7
If so, do I get that there and then and do I even have to hand over any cash if I find a discrepancy or can I simply walk out the store with the widget? Or do I mention nothing, buy the widget at the scan price then "happen to notice the misprice on the way out" and go to customer services and get a refund for the £2 difference, or the £5 or £7?
Sorry for being thick lol0
