Make sure you check out BWS today! The alcohol section has dozens of large yellow SEL's all saying ".....offer ends 28/2/06". There are so many its odds on your store will leave 1 or more on display.

Got Tattinger champers x4 (26 quid a bottle) on the 20th Feb when 10 quid off offer ends 19/2/06 still up. Was tempted to take 20 but resisted.

    happy hunting everyone!!

Be warned tho' that some offers may be extended and old labels left out - best to do price check on instore scanner if possible.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Any tips on training the (male) OH in R +R ?

At the self scan till the other day, something went through as a £10 jumper when it was a £5 food item. He got member of staff over to cancel the item so she could put it through correctly. Not the first time this sort of thing has happened either!

he figures he can't be bothered to wait at CS and would rather have the correct price for the product. I figure that it was a £5 saving and a 5 minute wait at CS is equivalent of £60 an hour...which he isn't on!

    Any tips?!

Last night I bought a Tesco roast in the bag lemon and garlic flavour chicken, SEL £2.99 and went through the till at £3.99. I went to CS who, after verifying that the SEL said £2.99 (she bought it back with her), refunded me the price difference of £1.00. When I pointed out (literally, we were by their policy notice) that I should be wholly refunded and keep the product she stated that I hadn't actually been overcharged because the SEL was an old offer and there hadn't been a sticker on the product and the £1 refund was a goodwill gesture !!!! She would not budge on this stance, so this morning I rang the 0800 number and had it confirmed that indeed it was an overcharge and I should have been totally refunded as well as keeping the product. I have now written a letter to the manager of the store and now await his response.

Something similar happened to me recently. The cs on the freephone number organised my refund which I then went and picked up! Was too scared to face original cs lady who had only given me the difference so went back hours later when I knew her shift must have finished! lol :o

The young lady on the phone didn't offer to help me with a refund. The only reason I've written a letter rather than face to face contact is that I won't be able to get to the store until the weekend and I wanted to get it off my chest, so to speak, straight away. It'll be interesting to see what reaction I get and how quick.
