Tesco misprices discussion area part 4

sammyy wrote:I overheard a convo in Tesco today. The gist of it was that all store's were placed on a traffic light system for mis-prices and if they received a red light i.e too many wrong sel's,then the manager would receive a warning. If there is any truth in this then its not surprising they are being a little over zealous.
I absolutely agree, but there was loads of meat wrongly priced, none had been yellow stickered and downpiced, so perhaps the over zealous shoud be directed at getting prices right in the first place. If I hadn't met with such appaling attitude and been talked to like a criminal then I would have politely pointed out all the other mistakes. And as I said there were wrong prices in nearly all the promotional meat sections.0 -

I think your information is a little more than inaccurate.......nannac wrote:I absolutely agree, but there was loads of meat wrongly priced, none had been yellow stickered and downpiced, so perhaps the over zealous shoud be directed at getting prices right in the first place. From what I have read nannac, i totally disagree with the treatment that you have received. Wherever the store in question is, they should be totally ashamed at their blatant disregard for the policies laid out for them. For what it's worth, you have my sympathy.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

When people post misprices here, how does one know if these are in all stores or just local anomolies?0

I think you've been conned Tesco is Tesco regardless of what they put after it, Express, Extra, etc, etc.
There policy is the same and was probably on display somewhere in the store.
I got the braisning steak at a Tesco Express garage, and had to explain R&R but was given it for free.
I would go back if it is local or phone HO and explain that the staff didn't know their own policy.
They don't have Customer Services so it's undersatndable but I think they were wrong.
There are several employees on here who may know better
Its not very local to me, I just called in as I was passing, and then returned with the query, does someone have the HO phone number please. Twix0 -

You don't know but it's always worth looking in your local store. If something is mispriced in one, it could be nationwide.
Also, someone made the great suggestion that we should all add our location to our profile so that we get some idea as to where in the country these bargains can be had. Of course, often, when you ask c/s for r&r they remove the offending item anyway so even if we let you know exactly which store, there is every chance you'd be too late.
I've just had a call from a non-moneysaving expert pal who tells me she's just done the same as me in the same store + pork loin steaks too!Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0 -
Actually spa2k, it's super easy to do and is the easiest indicator for senior management - not just to check on losses but also to check on poor staff action in keeping up with pricing.
I set these up all the time for various companies and even have them compiled and emailed out automatically on daily/weekly/monthly basis to senior management for top 10/bottom 3 green stars/red offenders with a copy sent to the store/dept concerned so that they know they are in the dog house or top table! :rotfl: :A0 -

I agree that it is easy to do, i was pointing out that sammyy's overheard conversation was inaccurate - or at least some of it is.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!
