This is amazing, how come customer services only give shoppers difference when are overcharged instead of keeping their promise?

Can they refuse to give it or is it in the rules?

Do you pay first and then argue or the other way around?

Do Tescos sell McDuff beer my OH loves it!!!!

    Thanks
    Marje.

  • I went to the Doncaster Extra store last night, just to look for the darned notices ststaing the R&R policy - there are none there!
I checked all around the customer service desk, just inside the door, and the electrical/clothing desk further into the store - I can't find any notice.
Would make life difficult if I did try and R&R something, although all I've found to date is a 1p difference on a big bag of Twix!
I take it the policy still applies regardless of them displaying the boards? These days I always check my receipt before I leave the store, making sure any BOGOF's are correct, as I've fallen foul of that one before and then never got round to taking the reciept back.
I had one overcharge at the Lottery till the other day, bought 12 tickets on the Euro-Millions, total of £18 - but it was rung through as 18 goes @ £1.50 each, so a £9 overcharge! Took a while to get CS to sort that one out, it was a trainee on the kiosk at the time and they had a queue a mile long! No, R&R does not apply to Lottery purchases - I did ask.
Oh - and I've just corrected my previous post on scanner locations, I put the second one down as near the crisps, it'a actually near the cat food - next aisle up from back to front of the store. You can see it from the crisps!

Yes, these signs are still on display. Our store got them re-newed over the festive period during the store shutdown.

One thing I would like to make everyone on here aware of is that about 4 weeks ago now our store, like very other store received a letter through host which explained the overcharge policy in great detail. Therefore every CSD employee should be issuing a full refund on the overcharge amount if under £20 without hesitation. (over £20 manager is informed). Thus ensuring excellent Customer Service is delivered to every customer.

It would most likely be greatly beneficial to you all if you all contact CS at Dundee and asked them why so many stores are failing to adhere to the company policy, that way they'll re-send the message. You'll get your R+R no problem and walk out the store with a smile on your face! :D

As I'm sure you can understand I would much rather keep that information private, due to the nature of some members of the forum. However I can say that it is one of the Scottish stores.

No problem (if you want to thank me or others for there post, in the bottom right hand corner of each post there is a Thanks Button)

    1. They will offer the difference, but you dont have to take it.

    2. They can try and refuse, but in most cases should give it you.

    3. You pay first and then go to CS. I dont think the attitude of "arguing" its very good. You just go and get what is yours, not for an argument.

    4. Har har har.

    Regards

Nice lady in Tesco Eastville, Bristol asked me:

'Can you pass me one of those please?' (Tech DVD Player @ £27.92 up high on shelf)

    'Yes' says I.

'Oh you are useful...' she replies.

Off I go, browsing for R&R - decided to go back to the DVD Players just in time to witness staff ripping the wrongly priced SELs away....

So I lost my DVD player.

But I got a lovely smile - hey girl if you're reading - The Dude Abides.

Last time I went - a couple of weeks back now - it was behind the right hand side of the CS desk near the entrance to the store. I was looking at it whilst waiting for a refund :D Maybe they've taken it down for some reason?
