Got my jobs done this morning so the house is looking spick & span unitl the kids arrive home  :rotfl: The bolognese is cooked having simmered away since this morning it smells luvverly. Just debating now whether to read for an hour, do some cross stitch or stay mooching round hereThink the cross stitch will win I'll put the radio on so I can listen whilst I'm stitching.
Have a good afternoon everyone0 -
Afternoon peeps,
Pay Day today!
Cold and very windy here i will be sporting a full thermal outfit tonight at training.
Been ebaying like mad to try and shift some stuff before we start to pack for the move. OH will be back next week:j and maybe going on standby before he gets moved to the next rig. This would be great timing as we could get everything sorted for the house while he is here and have blooming good clear out too. We will be on first name terms with charity shops shortly!Lol It's quite hard to sort out a house purchase when you have no prior experience and your OH is in the middle of the sea:rotfl:
Hugs MSD and Jackie O, a difficult time but we are all thinking of you.
Hugs and smiles to all. OS today has been jam rolls:rolleyes: and will be a storecupboard challenge for tea (beans on toast!) Want to save as much as possible up to our move day so we have cash for any hiccups along the way. You know what Solicitors are like.
Anyway enough rambling..going to look up Insurance quotes zzzzzzzzz

Bethebee - Don't forget the plastic decorating sheets. As for red shade are we talking plain red ?
Trazy - Welcome
smokybabde - Happy birthday
Spike's woke BRB
Plastic sheets to go on top of a tarpaulin yup, lots of towels yup, plenty of sheets yup, brandy for me yup, smelling salts for Sil2b yup. Think that's the lotunless anyone can add to my list.
Yes I'm looking for a plain red shade, DD2 wants all primary colours but most stores think that girls rooms should be pink, pink and more pink.
I did find a company that had 2 for £9.99 but wanted £8.50 p&p, might just get a white one and paint/recover it. A bit of OS crept in there.0 -
I was in a Wetherspoons on Tuesday and drank IPA. It's not my fav by any means and I'd have rather had a lager/cider after a few but it was 99p a pint!!! :j2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Afternoon All!
Sorry I was absent yesterday - woke up with a full-blown migraine  (so much for trying to hide the headaches from DH...) so spent the day in bed. Did manage to put on SC about lunchtime with Turkey Chasseur in it, and put on a loaf in the BM, but then back to bed again until DH came home. The bread didn't rise well (my first negative result from the BM) and then I made a banana loaf cake in the evening, which also didn't rise (used the recipe before and it worked perfectly), so not a very positive OS day yesterday  .
Back in wo*k today, although I still don't feel great - don't want to take too much sick as I had 2 wks off with the M/C and need some time off for appts in th next couple of months. Real struggle today though - brain feels stuffed with spiky cotton-wool, IYSWIM. Having a bit of a prob with one of the managers too, but trying not to let it affect me too much, as I could so easily burst into tears today.
Pasta & Sauce tonight for tea - nice & simple as I am supposed to be going to an exercise class, but not sure if I feel up to it so may cancel. Feels naughty not to go though - that'll be 2 weeks with no badminton and no classes - and yet my foot STILL giving me gyp...I can't win!
:hello: Hi Yorkshire Celt! I'm struggling with depression too, but can't be 'officially diagnosed' or medicated as they won't let me have any more IVF treatment if I am. Being here is such a help, and everyone is so kind, I hope it helps you too!
ISOM & Snowy - Another one here who has lost it and put it back on again! Although I am fairly fit, I just love to cook...and to eat of course! Also always been a 'comfort eater' so trying times bring out the worst....
AussieLass - I loved As Time Goes By - was sad when the last series ended. It is such a nice 'gentle' comedy, and Judy Dench and whats-his-name as both great actors!
MSDiva - so sorry about Tristan - Can't find the words (if there are even the right words) but thinking about you at this so difficult time.
(((HUGS))) to everyone.
FE
OOHH - Almost forgot - Birthday wishes to Halight & Smoky - hope you enjoyed your days and have nice evenings! The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"

I sympathise fully with you Fairy I've suffered from migraines since I was 18 (I'm 42 now) and they come along as regularly as clockwork. Every month with my 'lady time' Some months I can carry on & some months I have to go to bed as I can't stop being sick, heads throbs too much to move it etc etc. In fact (((((((((((((((big group hug))))))))))))))))) to all of us migraine sufferers :T0 -

Thanks SunnyGirl. I'm used to headaches and sicky feelings around TOTM too, but I'm mid-cycle at the mo' so I *shouldn't* be feeling like this....still don't think my body has settled back down properly after the M/C yet, but don't know why it is taking so much longer after this one than it did the last time......All very frustrating!
Ah well - 10 mins to go then I can get off home :TThe best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"
