Sorry.... When you said you had taken headache tablets and then said you had taken tablets away from little bear I just put 2 and 2 together and came up with something other than 4.
I wasn't admonishing you. It's just that the subject of adult medication and children is close to my heart.
You are absolutely right - I am so paranoid about letting him near tablets. I try not to even take them in front of him, but the vitamins had slipped down behind some stuff that should have theoretically been out of reach, but I went to get him some juice and it showed me exactly how fast he could climb! I nearly died as it was, as they were only in a blister pack.
Another thing that I am extremely paranoid about is dangerous chemicals, a little boy used to live next to me who had drunk caustic soda as a toddler and still had breathing problems years later. I am phasing all my cleaning chemicals out except for the vinegar/washing soda/stardrops stuff. I try and keep little bear in a safe area at all time, but he gets ahead of meHe actually once found a box of matches I didn't even know we had, but I have never lit a candle in front of him, and that is all we use matches for here, so he didn't know to do anything except scatter the dratted things everywhere. I was so relieved he didn't try and eat them.
I think the time when he was still crawling and he got hold of some lavender oil and splashed it on his face was the worst. When NHS direct rang back and asked if he was having breathing difficulties (of course I panicked and wanted to take him to A&E but dear heart checked with NHS direct, thank goodness) I told them that he was giggling and splashing in the water, so they decided that he was probably fine. I still sat next to his cot for most of the night, just in case.
So while I have managed to keep adult medicine away from himI have not been entirely successful on the noxious substances. It is a constant source of terror to me what he will get next!
Well, first load of washing in, little bear is having cheese, crackers and grapes again, which could be worse, and I am going to get some mince out for tea.
NPM - little bear is just not talking. Today they more or less ruled out autism, probably no 'syndromes', probably not hearing problems. She wanted to check on his motor skills - see above for the demonstration of what he can do!Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Princesstippytoes, an easy mistake to make, I assumed the same.
Wannabie Sybil I think the misunderstanding was because your post said (quote) "I only came in here to take tablets away from Little Bear" phew so glad he's ok.
Have finished 1 bedroom and come home because some-one wants to view the house to let and don't want wet paint around. The advert only went in today so fingers crossed, Actually I recognised the man's voice and when he asked about pets I said " We don't mind them PETER " silence. He was amazed that I knew his name, told him I was phsicic, haha. After much wowing I told him who I was.
JACKIO and MSD I'm sending special thoughts and prayers for you and your loved ones. Take care of yourselves.
MUDGEKIN ((((((((((special hug)))))))))) don't forget we're here for you.

Afternoon gang, Isn't food fantastic:j :j :j :j Finished fast, and am proud to report that I didn't sneak down after midnight to eat something!
Haven't read everything yet but will do shortly. Whenever I press my thanks button a few times the whole site freezes me out. Mark is slightly better today. I am still worried but hopeful that things may not be quite as serious as was initially thought. Fingers crossed. I already know the interiors of a lot of the hospitals in North West England really don't want to expand my knowledge.

Afternoon all.
I’m soooo tired today, we had to get up at silly o’clock, as Mr LW had to attend GP surgery for a blood test before leaving for w*rk.
Meanmarie how’s your poor finger today. Mega-ouch!!
N9eav and Halight nice to see you, I was beginning to wonder where you’d both got to. Happy Birthday Halight.
Aussielass please take care doing the lawn; backs need care when they’re hurting.
Happy Birthday Smoky.
Sunnygirl great that your dad is making such good progress.
JackieO sorry to hear of your family bereavement. *Sigh* who ever said life was fair?
MSD ((((HUGS)))) I don’t have adequate words.
The fridge is looking decidedly bare at the moment - 1 egg, a tiddly little bit of cheese, hardly any butter, no tomatoes...the list (or lack thereof) goes on. I need to eke it out til the weekend, as I shall go to Stony Stratford market for my veggies on Saturday, and the Farmers Market is on Sunday. We've got the 2nd half of yesterday's quiche for today's dins, but after that...Bread and scratch, possibly.:D
Mr LW has just sent me his w*rk rota for next month, and they've got it wrong. They've got him down as on leave on 2nd and 3rd, when he isn't. He had 2nd and 3rd Feb off.Never mind, we'll get it sorted eventually. Not a lot happening here today, I have to make some bread rolls, and (if I feel well enough) take the vinegar to the limescale on the tiles by the shower.
((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Sunnyday - thanks for the thought, I've thought about these but wondered if they are a pain to clean, my cat would be bound to get everything up the sides! Any advice?
