  • Evening all,

Got home, stopped at Mr T's on the way to get milk & a couple of other bits. £43 later..... Had sausage pasta for supper - can't think this minute who else was going to have it but the idea was planted in my mind, lol!!!

Just skimming through to catch up on the day's news.

Happy Birthday Smokey & Halight - hope you have both managed to enjoy your days in the best ways for you both, especially during tough times.

    JackieO & Diva (((((hugs))))).
Mudgekin, will be thinking of you hun, don't stay away too long. We're here when you need us.
MrsMix, hope you are feeling better now than the other week?
Sunnygirl, glad too your dad is doing well.
    Snowy - congratulations/commiserations - so what happened????
Csarina, I'm sorry you are struggling so much - as a student SW I would always aim to be as supportive as I could for someone, but I appreciate that local authorities are full of bureacracy too. I hope things start to happen for you.
Whatatwit - lovely to "see" you :)

End of my week in placement, am very tired - hospital discharge work is hard going..... Uni day tomorrow and some birthday celebrations for a couple of friends there.

    ((((hugs))))) for everyone needing them.
    xx

the above re the cats litter...I have 4 and have 6 trays...theory is 1 per cat plus one but with a boy plus two works better!! sometimes...When I clean mine (the hooded ones) I spray with cheapie limescale remover which gets rid of the wee!
good to see you rowenns...just do what you can. There are times when you need to ease up on yourself and think this may just be one of them...

Please go and get your arm looked at especially if the burn is blistering.

If you don't want to go to A and E then look up a "walk in" centre and get some special dressings for the burn applied.

I am so sorry about Tristan but in a way he is remaining "himself" by raging against it.

At least you are out of there!!!!

    Hugs to everyone.

    Hi guys,

Many thanks for all the birthday wishes - kinda made up for a not too brilliant day.

Halight - I hope you enjoyed your meal and a happy birthday to you too.

Very gentle hugs to you all tonight, so many of you in pain of one sort or another.

Whatawit - in case you missed it on the other thread. Many thanks to you for your help.

Congratulations too to all proud mums.

    Smoky. xx

  • Just a quick one from me today but I will send hugs to all who need them - won't name names as I'm sure to offend by forgetting someone important!! I will say happy birthday to Smoky & Halight though!

I was completely out of ideas for dinner tonight by the time I got home but eventually pulled some of last weeks soup out of the freezer and had that. MrEH was at rugby training so is just heating his up now. I've got out curry and Naan bread for tomorrow night - we'll have a home made takeaway! :p

Got an email this evening from my lamb-lady saying that our beastie is butchered and on his way to us! :j Tomorrow night will now be the additional butchery which is required plus mincing the bits that need mincing.....sunday dinner will most likely be braised lamb shanks and there will be hotpot on the menu for one day next week too!

Csarina...maybe a visit to your GP might be an idea, you need to have some help in dealing with the long delay for a consultant visit for OH, might be no harm to have him/her have a look at that scald? Can't for the life of me see what they expect your children to do...sit and hold your hand maybe and really drive you up the wall?

    Love to all

    Sleep well,

    Hello again everyone

I've been snoozing in a darkened room since my last message - I had an absolutely AWFUL headache which started when I was still at wo*k.

To confirm, I have gleefully accepted all your congratulations on having been ousted from my job. I'd only been there a week and I was very unhappy. It just wasn't meant to be. The agency phoned me at 5.05pm today and told me that a line manager had phoned them and told them that they were ending the contract and the agency said that maybe they had filled the job from within. :rotfl::rotfl: I know that's not true, but I don't care. Unfortunately this means I have to go onto Job Seeker's Allowance, but at least I qualify since I didn't intentionally become unemployed. I've been applying for jobs this past few weeks, so while I've already been rejected for some of them I'm hopeful of being interviewed for the rest. Fingers Xed.

Meanmarie, your fingers sounds eye-wateringly painful...I had a sympathy palpatation yesterday when I first read about your accident. Your lamb and chicken sweet and sour dish sounds quite interesting - funny how nobody noticed! Did you bung both in together - I know I would have? At least OH is going to physio - he'll thank you in the end, maybe.

Diva - I'm so sorry to hear about Tristan - you always talk about him with so much warmth and love. He is lucky to have a friend like you.

    Good night everyone

    Snowy

AussieLass - I haven't looked at the photos yet, am going to do that next.

Happy birthday to Smoky and to Halight. Just where do the years go to:think::rolleyes2?

Morwenna - enjoy your fruit and flowers. I always think fresh flowers give a special sparkle to the home and it was thoughtful of whoever gave them to you.
