Hi, I had a slightly annoying day yesterday, I was really pleased with myself for having got the washing on the line, came home from picking the kids up and my washing line had broken! All my washing was on the muddy grass, I was not a happy bunny. I did at least manage to get some fabric to make DS1 a costume for World book day next week. Today I need to get a new washing line, take some batteries and long life light bulbs to the tip for recycling and go to the library to collect some books. I'm just hoping that I manage to persuade DS2 to leave his invisible pet mouse at home!
Hugs to everyone who needs one0 -

Morning!
Happy birthday to Halight & Smokybabe :bdaycake: :bdaycake: Enjoy your days.
Diva - I'm thinking about you (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) and huggles to anyone else who needs them.
A catch up day for me today as I don't have to go out so can catch up with housework  ironing & the like. Spaghetti bolognese for dinner which I'll bung in the slow cooker shortly. I didn't like the texture of lentils in it so I'll add grated carrot, peppers, mushrooms & bacon to the mince instead to bulk it out & give everybody a hidden portion of vegLunch will be some spicy lentil soup & a sandwich followed by fruit for dh & I, dd & her bf have sandwiches & my 2 ds's both have school lunches in the winter.
My Dad is improving greatly now he's at home & is talking almost normally. He still forgets the odd word but is getting there :T It's amazing to see what a recovery he's made I wouldn't have believed it this time last week :A My Mum is still very scared that another stroke is around the corner so I'm giving her lots of love & support too. I'm an only child but thankfully live 3 miles away so we can all be there quickly if needed.
Well I'm off to get dressed now (been up since 6 but have been pottering), put the washing on the maidens to dry, whip over the bathroom & tidy the kids rooms somewhat before starting down here. I need to vac the vertical blinds in the living room as the cats sleep on the window sill with the blinds laying over them & they're covered in black hairs  I'll pop back on later to see how everyone is doing. Hope everyone has good days.

Sunnygirl thats brilliant news about your Dad
Have they set up any support for your Mum?
If you have a local carers centre it may be worth giving them a ring as they are a great source of info if your Dad needs anything and also just incase your Mum needs a bit of support

Morning all, love how you get ideas for stuff, following reading about the scabby bananas I think I will try and make a cake out of ours too!
I have been good this morning, in spite of migraine trying to appear again I went on the dog walk with friend and her mutt. Now back to normality. Had a good day getting jobs off the list yesterday, but still a load more to do. Have printed a flylady list the last couple of weeks on a Monday, but not done anything further, life just over took me.
FOod today? Says veg curry on the menu plan ds created, but not sure if I have the wherewithall, so one of the things that fell off the list early in the week may get re-called. It will be something we have in any way.
breakfast for me in a min will be HM yogurt and Banana. Lunch will be something from the fridge...some mushrooms need using up, so that would be nice. GOt a loaf going off, so will make some sandwiches. freezer clogged with bits and pieces of stale bread, so might try and make some stuffing.
I would so like to do some sewing, but don't seem to get round to it. Need to be organised today as there are a few errands to do (payclaim for a start!) and also my turn to fetch ds at 6pm from music rehearsal at school. A plan, that's what I need!
Have a good day all."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Morning all................((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) if you need one:bdaycake: Smokey:bdaycake: Halight....happy birthday to you both.
Very dull and grey this morning, OH is still asleep, just one 'do' yesterday the nausea one which is horrid................still no appointment, I am getting abit cheesed off now, will be throwing my toys out the pram before long.......
I need to have a quick trip to Aldi for potato's this morning, have to go to the PO first and get some cash, the window cleaner came yesterday, so almost cleared me out. Hoping DD is coming sometime today to help me tile the splashback for the cooker.
Yesterday was a knitting day, did the rest of the back and almost up to the armhole shaping on a sleeve.....today I must baste and sew the bolero and send it off to see if its ok.......so I can tackle the other one.
Did anyone see the grand designs programme last night???? it featured a house in Brittany built out of car tyres, sounds weird I know, but in actual fact, although not my cup of tea, the basic idea is brilliant, the chap sourced the tyres from a local tyre place for free!!! Can't see it finding favour here somehow....................but I found the whole thing very interesting.
Not a lot OS wise today, sausage and mash with red wine gravy for supper, there is enough of last nights crumble left for tonight and tomorrow, so thats the sweet sorted. The last of the leek soup for lunch. Oh....just remembered I made chicken stock last night, have to pick the meat off the bones and skim the fat off the stock, can then make a pot of chicken and leek soup, what makes you think I have a laod of leeks to use up?????
My second mug of coffee calls.................Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
