We are debating the lusers, leeches and time wasters who join the police, not upstanding officers like your dad.0 -
The filth only hassle drivers, the rest of the time you NEVER see them on the streets...so good riddance to bad rubbish
Your rather sweeping statement is bound to attract this sort of reaction! Is it any wonder people want to rightfully stick up for what they think?

Who the hell are you to decide this!0 -
I'm a Local Tax Payer who has to pay more each year for this dross without getting anything back...who are you?... some lazy, good for nothing, uniform wearing, doughnut eating, waster facing the sack?
Ha, no, although I do like a doughnut.
But, I think we now know you feelings on the police in general!
My point was its not for you to tell somebody, nor is it anyone elses, what is to be discussed in these forums.0 -

They clear up the mess at road crashes, go round to Mums and Dads to tell them that their family member has been crushed in their car by someone on their phone whilst driving. They are the ones who haqve to deal with drunks pxxxxxg and being sick in the street, being there for rape victims.etc.
I am alocal tax payer and i would rather my tax money was not put in pots for them to have nice pensions.
I think with your comment above you watch a bit of American TV cop shows.end the tv tax0 -
The police are the scum of the earth and I hope they all die  . They're just a bunch of power-tripping idiots and I hope they all get sacked because it certainly doesn't take the current number of them to answer a phone and trott out the standard lines "it's a civil matter sir" and "we don't have the resources".
Waste of space the lot of them.
And yes I did thank you by mistake cat695.
Rob
The problems the Police face is due to Gov targets and red tape not to forget the paperwork they have to fill out. One arrest can lead to an hour + of paperwork. Then they have to attend court which can take up more time.
I think this post would not be welcomed by those who have had their loved ones killed whilst on duty.
I also think this post and it's txxt of a poster should be removed from moneysavingexpert.comend the tv tax0 -

They pay 11% of their salaries to get their pensions. I think most people pay 5 or 6%. They pay alot for their pensions and it is part of their contract of employment. Other groups could negotiate a similar pension.Sell £1500

The moderation on this board is quite slow. I guess it's a function of this being a free site. The moderators are volunteers and I guess there's a lack of volunteers willing to do the midnight shift given that the shift allowance is also £0!0
