i have been banished upstairs propped up on the bed with laptop:rolleyes: .
I was starting to get on OH`s nervesI think.....I am not a good patient and have loads to do and no time to just sit here.....I have no choice tho as I cant even get up unaided:o
Am just about to start a months meal plans....at least I will have achieved something with my day, and maybe do next weeks shop online.....I have started to use Asda and they work out a lot cheaper than MrT...rarely any voucher codes tho:rolleyes: .
D&DD, I have never had reflexology but osteopathy has worked in the past. I must check at our carers centre re the reduced rates;) .
Little man is better now I think, lots of skipping up and down and flapping:p so back to school tomorrow.0 -
Good afternoon OS Friends!
Csarina - I kept getting dizzy spells & nausea a few years back, it is very distressing and frustrating....eventually after lots of tests was diagnosed with BPPV (Benign Paroxisimal sp.! Positional Vertigo). When I get an attack I have exercises to do, to realign the crystals in the ears, and they seem to work. Hope you get some answers & help soon.
Marie - Massive (((HUGS))) so sorry about Luca.
Mudgekin - (((HUGS))) to you too - hope things look up for you very soon. Well done on making your preparations though.
Anniestar - STILL didn't get to watch you on i-player last nite, sorry, but I WILL get to it before it goes.
Sunnygirl - so glad to hear the Good News your dad is improving
THANKS everyone for your suggestions on how to clean my oven door - will try again tonight if I have the energy......
Had a migraine when I left work yesterday so went straight to bed when I got home, and nothing much got done! Did get up later when I felt better, and use the leftovers from Sat's bolognaise for supper, which I even managed to eat some of as the nausea had subsided. DH is worried that I am getting a lot of sicky headaches at the moment, so I'm trying to make light of them with him and carry on as normal.
Realised why my bread pudd was not the same as usual at the weekend, when I opened the microwave and found the dish of melted butter (now solid again of course) that I was supposed to put into it....sometimes I think I would forget my head if it wasn't screwed on at the moment! Still, DSS#2 didn't seem to mind the pudding - he had 3 helpings of it before they went home (after a HUGE roast dinner)! A bitc*y person might have suggested that it's the last bit of 'real cooking' he'll get for 2 weeks until they are back with us again....but I wouldn't say a thing like that would I?!? - Actually I didn't need to - sometimes DH & I can read each others' minds, and a look between us said it all!!!!!!!.
Pancakes tonight - Yum! I like mine with dried fruit cooked in 'em, sprinkled with sugar & lemon & rolled up (like my mum used to do 'em). DH likes his plain with sugar & lemon, and folded into a quarter.
Must try to get a grip with the 'floordrobe' in our room tonight, at least as far as sorting another bag for a charity shop.....but just remebered I might not be able to get to one on Sat as it's the OS Meet Up in Bristol this weekend - Yippeee! - Are you still coming Moggins?
Have a good day everyone.

I know my Dad is feeling brighter as the first thing he asked about when he got home was the whereabouts of his wallet
Then who had been driving the car (me) :rotfl: I got everything done with Mum this morning & they're both now safely at home together. We're all shattered now that the adrenaline rush is over so it'll be early nights all round I think. Dad got no sleep last night as a patient was trying to sign himself out at 3am & arguing his case very loudly with the doctors  He went apparently & was found at 9am down in the main hospital reception.
Had lunch of hm veg soup, a sandwich & some YS grapes which were very tasty. Going to catch up with some letters to write now then it'll be time to wake DH up before the children all start rolling back in. Have a great afternoon folks xx0 -
Just in quick cos I have to go try to do some jobsearch. I couldnt do any yesterday as there was something wrong with the reed site and it wouldnt let me apply for anything - kept saying I had a web address in my cover letter which i did NOT.
I am very jealous of all you folks with your pacakes. We couldn't manage to beat Swansea in the Cup so we have them in a replay tonight and won't be able to have Pancake Day.
hugs to all

Afternoon peeps
busy day here today, i`m stopping for a well earned half an hour to eat something before i keel over from starvation
The usual morning bits and bobs have been done and i made an enormous pan of soup and two dozen bread rolls, whilst i had flour all over everything i also made two pizza bases to freeze. I`ve started on the upstairs and the bed has been stripped and changed and the bathroom is half done, i just need to clean the suite and hoover upstairs and then half the house will be in acceptable condition. The downstairs may take a little longer as i need to scrub the rest of the kitchen before i start on the living room but the living room is occupied by piles of ironing that i somehow managed to force myself to do this morning.
The houndies have had a good walk, we went onto the top fields for a good blow about in the wind, little oldie was very tired so we sat on the field for fifteen minutes and admired the view before we set off back, i managed to pick the wrong grass to sit on and had to walk all the way back with a very wet and very muddy bum
I saw a lady whilst out who i haven`t seen for quite some time as we both work shifts so don`t always walk the hounds at the same time, she was rather upset as they are losing their home soon. They have a lovely family and although herself and her husband have both managed to find jobs again after losing their original ones the mortgage company are not interested. They just want their money. The saving grace is that they put the house up for sale and it looks as if they have a buyer so that will save any more difficulties. I really feel for them and the kids, they are heartbroken. I wish there was something that i could do to help, they have lived in their home for 18 years and have four smashing kids. One awful thing is that they went to our local council and asked if there was any help available, they have been on the area housing list for years but ended up buying a house instead, they were told by the council that no help was available as by not paying their mortgage they had intentionally made themselves homeless  Im` going to do some scrubbing to try and work some of this anger out of my system.
Be back later.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -

He's a Yorkshireman & proud of it can you tell?? :rotfl: :rotfl: It was quite funny actually one of the doctors gave him a £2 coin & asked him what it was on the day after the stroke. Dad rolled it round in his hand looking very intently at it, he couldn't say what it was but he clenched his fist round it & held it up to his chest :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Mum & I were most amused that he may not know what denomination the money was but he knew to keep hold of it! Very MSE :T0 -

Afternoon just a very quick one -have just skimmed this today. Not feeling 100%(nothing serious) but wanted to post.
MeanMarie I am so sorry. I know exactly what you are going through and am pretty sure I know how you feel. My heart aches for you.
Mudgekin ((((((hugs)))))) Am thinking of you.
Snowy Owl(((((((HUGS))))))) NO job is worth risking your health for.
Silver Charming ((((((HUGS)))))
Purple Ivy hope you feel better soon.
Morwenna. Am thinking and praying for you and your family.
Wanabe Sybil:A Thank you.
Sunny Girl:j :j :j Am delighted by your news.
Was going to bake today- nothing stunning just some shortbread and maybe a fruit cake but will probably do it on Thursday.
Tea tonight will be shepherds pie(with quorn obviously), roast root veg and brussel sprouts. Followed by pancakes. Don't regularly have a pudding after tea but am hoping to fast tomorrow(IBS permitting) so some carbs will be welcome.
Does anyone on here(am not going on the teckie board  not that brave!) Know how to move PM's. I did read somewhere that it can be done but can't find it.
Had another nose bleed about 11.30 this morning. Seems to have stopped now.
Again thank you to everyone for your kind comments re last friday. I am very lucky to have so many lovely friends:T Thank you.
Finally this is going to be a (even for me!) very stupid comment but isn't London big??    DH and I spent(what seemed like) an age looking at hotels_pale_ _pale_ _pale_ and maps of London. Does any London resident have any hot tips re hotels in Greenwich as near to the O2(well the smaller bit which is next door to it)
Anyway, have a nice afternoon and take care of yourselves.
Ann. xxxxBlind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
