    Morning all!

didn't get time to read yesterdays thread.

(((hugs))) to MeanMarie - so sorry to hear about Luca x

    PP - hope you're ok x

(((hugs))) to everyone else who needs one

got 2 days off now:j am off on a short course this morning on massage(part two in a few weeks) also got loads to do round the house - pile of ironing. then off this afternoon to the docs to talk about my IBS.

Mum had an upsetting morning yesterday, one of her elderly friends died whle Mum was holding her hand, she had been poorly but still a shock, sadly her daughter didn't make it up from Devon in time to be with her but at least she was comforted by the fact Mum was there.

Tea tonight is HM cheese and potato pie with sausages for the men and veggie burgers for me. Pancakes for pud, the boys love them with sugar and lemon.
Am going to buy some mince from the butchers and make them some cottage pies too for the freezer(probably tomorrow due to lack of time)

    have a great day all

    Take care xx

edited to say sorry to hear about your DHs redundancy Mudgekin (((hugs))) to you x
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Morning all!

Miserable, foggy day here right now and loads of rain forecast for the next few days, so that's something to look forward to!!

Lunch today is tuna pasta salad for us all, except DD3 who will only eat sliced chicken or grated cheese sandwiches for lunch - don't ask about her VERY limited diet due to a general dislike of food  !! Slowly improving though at the tender age of 8....

Veg soup going in SC now for tea tonight followed by pancakes with either lemon & sugar or nutella ;) !

WM on, TD on, DW emptied!

(((((Hugs))))) to everyone who needs them.

    Happy Pancake Day!

    x

Tonight tea is steak n kidney pie, i am gonna cook this flipping pie is it kills me today :D. Soaked fruit overnight for a Tea loaf which will be made today too.....Also the obliqutry (sp?) Pancake mixture for later on. DD1 asked for them for brekkie , instead was swiftly handed a bowl of shreddies :rotfl::D.

DH has flu (heavy cold to you and me), so have installed him in spareroom :D, and shut the door :rotfl:. Just off to make a black cross ;).

Parents Eve tonight, i love to watch the worried look that descends over DD1 face as we approach teacher :D. She had x-country y'day after school and was complaining her bum hurt... presume it's the muscles.

  • Sunnygirl - that is brilliant news! I am so happy for you! :j:j:j

Mudgekin - you are doing wonders keeping it together at - thinking of you. If you are in a position to take exercise, it is really helpful (says couch potato here!)

    Meanmarie - thinking of you.

Celyn - is the mad mother in law bringing in the voodoo? Please share if she does.

I don't think I am up to pancakes today. Dear heart is out tonight so tonight's meal is rushed and I really find the thought daunting. However at least I am brave enough if I do try them to do the mix from scratch rather than buying a bag of flour marked 'pancake mix' I may try and do drop scones instead, they turn out lovely.

I'm just passing through, I shall of course share if I actually manage anything old style today, but I think it unlikely. :o

This made me giggle :rotfl: just like my OH  and sounds like the same reaction he gets from me :D

    Morning All :D
Haven't kept up with all the news will read back a few days in a mo...
Awaiting a Tescos order..first one I've done for a while as I refuse to do them without a vouchercode and none have been working.

Got hospital later to look at my tooth the dentist mullered a few weeks back.Spent an hour and a half in the chair,14 injections *then she realised I hadn't eaten and had given me something she shouldn't...cue panic and a glucose drink lol* and she still never got it out...looked like popeye for a week
So off to the dental bit to see what they suggest..I hate dentists anyway so not looking forward to being poked about again.

Have a washing load in the machine but will have to tumble it as its raining here today
Panny is doing a granary loaf which hopefully will be done before I go out

Sending bug hugs to all that need them,
    D XX

Celyn - They aren't, you should get in touch with your Council's Private Sector Housing department (probably within Enviro Health) as there are regulations for privately rented properties.

  • Hello

Well, DS still off with d&v and I have now hurt my back again:rolleyes: can`t do anything, am stuck on sofa unable to move, so OH has had to take day off to look after us.....so neither of us being paid today...has been a bad month for finances .
Not much OSing going on.....DS wanting pancakes for his tea and we will sort something later so no big tea to make. BM to put on in a mo and I did all washing yesterday. OH will have to do the jobs today as I cant even shuffle up the sofa :o . The back thing happens every now and again since having SPD when preg with DS(was on crutches!) and my abdo muscles seperated with the weight of him(babies over 11lb are awkward to carry in the old tummy)
SIL had scan yesterday and there was still no baby so has to be booked for D&C. Very sad and DB still away on rig till next Tues. I think they are giving up now.
Meanmarie hugs to you on losing Luca.....it was the best decision.
Mudgekin sorry the depression is tightening its grip again....have been down that road myself and it is not a good journey.

Hugs to anyone else and any other poorly pets

    Morning All.
Have a couple of old friends coming for supper tonight - not a problem, except that they were pleased it would be on Shrove Tuesday as they like pancakes....I've never been too good with making pancakes, so I'd better look at the pancake thread pronto!
DH had to have a fasting blood test this morning, b ut fortunately was first, so back home for brekkie by 8.45am.
I have put my material and scissors and pins on the kitchen table - hopefully I'll cut the stuff out when I get back from the gym rather than just clearing it all away. Need to clean bedroom carpet today (thank you, dog!!!).
Lunch yesterday was lovely, but I can't see it becoming a habit - I'd rather invite friends round to lunch here. Still the bill was paid for by my ex-colleagues, so shouldn't complain!
Need to make some rolls today, find shop-bought ones lack taste and substance.
Hope you all have a good day today - and big ((HUGS)) to all who need them.

    Think twice before spending anything!
