Meanmarie - I am so sorry! You are in my prayers tonight. You have lost someone you have loved for a long time, it must be so hard. You did everything a loving and caring person could have done - Luca was very lucky to know you. And he is now out of pain, and you have done everything right.
OS today has been a bit of a wash out, but tomorrow, well... I have a shipping order from Mr S, which I would have needed if my darling father was staying this week, but fortunately most of it will freeze (if it can fit in my freezer!). I have 'movement' with little bear which is some sort of class for little ones and toddlers, which for me could be a lifeline because little bear is so active, and I am so inactive so it gives me some idea what is the right thing to do. The nice lady from the health visitors is coming with me but next week I need to take two buses each way to get there :eek: But it will be so good for little bear to go to the class and good for me to get the habit of going on buses. Then dear heart is taking me to the dentist which is a drama in itself as I am extremely silly about it, and I desperately hope it will not rub off on little bear. Dear heart is out tomorrow night so as soon as we get home (quite a distance through rush hour traffic) it is frozen stew (reheated, of course) and then he has to dash out. So any Old Style I get done tomorrow I will consider an extreme bonus.
Also, I have been considering getting a weekly ticket and going into town at least once a day with little bear and a carrier or twofor a charity shop. The cost of the bus ticket will be money well spent and the house will be considerably emptier. I shall have plenty of carriers from the delivery tomorrow. I look so posh when I use Sainsburys carrier bags, especially as no-one sees them stuffed with Basics. I always used to treasure my Nettos bags as not only had I to pay for them, but they were lovely and strong and capacious. But the bus ticket idea will only work if I can get the nerve to go into town...
All my wittering seems so irrelevant compared to the stress some people are going through. Hugs to all.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Aww meanmarie, I'm so sorry to hear about Luca. He was a much loved friend, and as much as it hurts I'm sure you know in your heart you did the very best thing you could for him. It's how I felt and still feel about my Tabitha when I made The Decision. As long as you remember him he'll never be actually gone from you and I'm sure he'll visit you in your dreams from time to time.In_Search_Of_Me wrote: »snowy is th person a supervisor?? I'm a temp and have only just started! She is my supervisor and has been there since July 1812 when she was nine:rolleyes:. I cannot be bothered with office politics, I'd much rather walk away than get into an argument I don't want and wouldn't win anyway. I'll see how it goes tomorrow, have a chat with my agency then decide.
Sybil - talk positive - get up in the morning and say "I am going into town today". And keep saying it. Tell it to Little Bear, then tell him over and over until you've got your bag of goodies ready. Then get your coat and go!!!! Be strong, you can do it, you know you can.
Good night everyone.
