    Morning All
Kaz - it was Mastermind, if you talk nice to silvercharming she is offerig a copy to those of us who missed it:o .

Read over the weekend but not posted much, as with only two of us and both "mucking in" apart from two loads of washing done and dried outside, not much more to report.:o

Sun's out and just about to take my coffee onto the patio, as it is quite sheltered. I tend to forget housework when the sun calls me outside:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    :grouphug: to all :grouphug:

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Morning all

It's just a case of housework, housework and more housework here as the place resembles the local tip. It doesn't help that I went out last night and got tiddly enough to sing on the karaoke! Still it was nice to be told I have a good voice and I even got told a couple of times that I was absolutely gorgeous :D So I feel rather tired this morning but I am going to crack on and perhaps motivation will hit me at some point.

    Greetings everyone,

Really making an effort now to be more old style, been reading loads on here but not posted much before.

I have tons of laundry to sort today, hopefully will resist the lure of the tumble dryer......

Ooh! Just had a cute moment - my baby girl was playing on the floor and just rolled over for the 1st time!! Yay!:j

Freezer use ups for dinner tonight. yum.
  • Hello everyone.

Despite being on my 4th cup of coffee, I'm not fully functional yet. One of those hard to get going mornings.

Plenty of housework to do today as I didn't get much done over the weekend. Last night's dishes are stacked and waiting to be washed still. :o By the time we got home from visiting our DD in hospital, I finished cooking our tea, we ate and I was out of energy.

Made coffee and DH's packed lunch on auto-pilot this morning. Took the leftover mash from yesterday and cooked veg from the past couple of days and made a creamy veg soup. I'll have that for my lunch today also. DH had cheese toast for brekkie and I couldn't face breakfast today. Little dog had a taste of the soup and she approved.

    (((((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))))))))))) to everyone.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Good Morning All - I'm another one who didn't get much sleep last night - older dog needed to go outside at 2am, and I was then fully awake until past 4.30am. Still, can always snatch 40 winks this afternoon if really desperate! BM is on, as is the WM. Really need to get on with some sewing later, but seem to be finding excuses not to get started! Must get to the gym early too, otherwise I find the whole morning gets eaten up. Am lunching with two friends today - part of my retirement gift from school was a voucher to help me start being a "lady who lunches"! Don't expect I'll be doing it too often tho'! Want to get Monday's flylady thread jobs done too, so best stop wittering on and do something! ((HUGS)) to all who need one today.

Morning all, hope you are all well.

Went walking in the forest yesterday and came back with a *huge* bucket of mushrooms. We had mushroom pasta for tea last night and I have strung up a load of them to dry in the kitchen. OH was very excited by it all as we've never found so many before and it isn't a great time of the year for it :)

Work have extended my contract, which is nice, but they can still only pay me 1 day out if six, which is fine (as I wasn't expecting to be paid at the moment). Lots of proper job applications to do, but I can't get my head round them. Found a couple of others abroad that look like fun. Still crazy busy, but that's the way it goes :)

Still worrying about the outlaws visiting - ordered some shopping to be delivered the day before but still have a fair bit to sort out.

Have a good day all, cel x

  • hello

Should be at work today( i work mon and tues) but as DS has a vomiting/diarrhoea bug have had to keep him off school so I won`t be going.
I have used my 2 paid carers days for the year:rolleyes: so it will have to be unpaid but never mind.....as he has to be 48 hrs clear I guess I wont be in tomorrow either. Poor lad didnt eat a thing yesterday and only drank water and slept lots.
wont get much OSing done today but may try to do some mealplans......mine have been thrown into chaos by the idea that I am probably dairy intolerant:o ....I am not sure where to start to be honest..dont like the soya milk idea may be easier to do without.
Tea tonight is pasta with bacon and tomato sauce so thats ok and a salad.
I make my own bread in the panny....does anyone know if I can use veg oil or vitalite instead of the butter?

my SIL is going to hospital to have another early preg scan today after them finding just a sac last week....it is to confirm there is still no baby and it is a blighted ovum....really sad for them and my DB is still away on the rig and has got it into his head that they will find a baby today:confused: so he will be devastated when it is confirmed( which the consultant is sure it will be)

Hugs to all who need them

hope your cat is ok Puss!

    Morning for the second time!!!!

I went back to bed around 3.30, I was starting to feel cold, must have dropped off eventually, when I opened my eyes it was just after 8am, so got up and left OH in bed.

Its clean up day today, will have to empty the laundry bin and sort the washing, its almost full again, where do all the blooming clothes come from???? there are only the two of us.................

My March budget is shot with my visit to Asda yesterday........I will do a store cupboard and freezer inventory this morning and go through my supermarket to see how much the Mr T part of the shopping is going to be. Might get up early Wednesday morning and go whilst its quiet, although now the children are back at school it should not be so bad.

I have started shaping the armholes on OH's sweater, so thats coming along fine.......not used up one ball of yarn yet........

Puss 14 so sorry to hear about your little cat, I would be very cross too.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
  • Puss - so sorry to hear about your furry friend. I hope she will be alright.

Morwenna - still thinking and praying

Sunnygirl - still thinking and praying - and rejoicing that it looks so good.

kat79 - it is so wonderful when that 'first' hits. I remember taking loads of photos and ringing dear heart at work the first time little bear moved by himself in his cot.

Kazonline - if you put some grated or finely chopped ginger and a little sugar into some vodka and let it steep it is medicinal - or at least that is what dear heart told me.

After watching little bear on the base of the blanket box, we turned the thing on its side with the lid hanging down, thinking that the side was a little more sturdy. Little bear can move it like this.:eek::eek:

Today, therefore, I am sorting out things so that the blanket box can be taken out of his room. I am ashamed that the house is so stuffed with things that we can't just move it. When we first moved in there was at least one room with nothing in it at all.

This leads me to a week's target - I want to remove at least five black bin bags of rubbish out of the house every day this week. Dear heart has not been able to drive over the weekend so the bootload of things for the charity shop are still in the boot.

So today among all the other list of things to do is to ring round local charities, especially the smaller ones, to see if a volunteer will collect some stuff. If so, then the equivalent of five black bin bags bagged up for charity every day is the target, though that might be a little harder.

Also I have a large lump of ironing after yesterday's washing bonanza, but most of it is little bear's so it is not such a dreadful thing as ironing a duvet cover - a mythological happening in our household and a tale to inspire terror.

    Hugs to all.
