Got three machine loads of washing out on the line and made a huge pot of pea soup for DH's lunch .

Have leftovers to heat in the Remoska for tonight and will do chicken tortillas for DD who does not like the roast pork.

Just about to go to look at the local charity shops and take some books back to the library.

Will have to spring into action later in the week to get house immaculate for DD comng home at the weekend.

Might be worth pointing out how much longer each piece of work will take you if the layout is not efficient. To me it seems obvious that the person actually doing the job should decide how stuff is placed.

    Hugs to everybody

    Hi everyone

:hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: and ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) to all
I've not been around for a couple of week's my joint's have been pretty bad (had a couple of fall's) and I've had lot's of problem's with dd about school
so after talking with her and dh the desion(sp) has been taken I'm going to teach her at home but as scary as it seemed at first there is lot's of help around my way so I will get plenty of support.

WS my boy's were at A&E so many time's when they were under the age of 10 they knew the staff by their first name's we don't go quite so often now.

I have done some washing today and made cakes bread and sorted out dinner I just have a bit of ironing to do
well best get on math's is calling
    pam xx
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you

  • Meanmarie & Puss14 - Hugs & snuggles to your FurryBabies. Puss14 you must feel so angry! It makes us feel so helpless when they are ill and we can't communicate with them, and we have to trust the vets to know what they are doing..... Marie, I agree with Anniestar - you will know the time.....

Sybil - I have been trying to take at least one bag to a charity shop every week - it deosn't appear to be making a difference yet, but logically I know that I must have at least a LITTLE more space now!

(((HUGS))) to everyone who needs them - will try to get time to read the weekend's threads later. We got t'internet fixed at home yesterday, but I couldn't get near the computer with all 3 DSK's needing to get on for homework or to email their friends!

Had a pretty good OS w/e, although didn't get everything on my list done (do I ever?!?):-

Friday evening I made spicey fruit loaf (DSD loves it!), set the BM for bread for the morning, and chopped up all the bits for the beef & veg bolognaise on Fri evening (in the processor, as my hands were playing up and I couldn't hold the knife tightly enough), and put it on to cook Sat morning before I went out. Also put some washing in the machine before I left, for DH to hang out before he went to footie!

Had a good day with my mum, watching the little playlets in the shops - it was great fun and the people who run the theatre company (who I know fairly well) were overwhelmed with the success. Had a nice lunch out with mum (bargain lunchtime offer!) and shared a bottle of wine, so we were very cheerful in the afternoon!
Had to make another loaf in the evening, AND set the BM for the morning again..DSK's can't seem to get enough of it, bless 'em!

Big fry/grill-up Sun morning, DSS#1's GF (the veggie one) stayed, and so I used more eggs than I meant to and was short for the baking I wanted to do, so DSS#2 went to the corner shop....horrendous prices, but DH gave him the money to go, so at least it didn't come out of my HK budget!!!!

Spent 2 hours  deep-cleaning the cooker on Sun morning....I really wish we'd had another option other than stainless steel....still, it looks good now, all apart from the oven door - can't seem to get the glass clean on the inside - any tips please???

Cooked big roast (with pork from freezer which was Whoopsied a couple of weeks ago) with 4 veg and all the trimmings, made bread pudding (my great-grandma's recipe!) and a banana loaf...and yet another loaf of bread so DH would have some for his sarnies today.

DH had a good talk with DSS#2 about the school situation, and told him to think about whether he wants to change school....now I'm waiting for him to get an irate call from his ex-W, as he hasn't mentioned it to her and I don't think she's going to be happy if DSS#2 says something to her about it first...... At least DSS#2 did some homework this weekend, with only minimal nagging from us!

Hope everyone is having a good day. I'm frustrated here in wo*k - it is one of those days I REALLY REALLY want to be at home getting on with stuff!

:hello: Hello! I would have been on here this morning but for some reason I couldn't get onto the forum, the site kept freezing:confused: so I'm glad it's ok now.

Anniestar - I hope your poor nose is okay now! If it keeps happening, go to the doc.

redruby - Ouch, I have that sometimes. I hope the inhaler and cream help.

wannabe sybil - good luck with the decluttering - something I am very bad at!

mrs_mix - Good luck with the home schooling. i'm sure your DD will be so much happier!
(((HUGS))) to everyone in need of some.

sorry I haven't mentioned everyone, memory like a sieve

I need to read yesterday's thread, as i didn't manage to get on here at all.

Not up to "proper cooking" today and don't want to use up all the frozen HM ready meals, so tonight DH is having a Mr S pizza and I am having bought fishcakes :o I did make a big batch of bolognese last night though:D so not totally a lost cause!

DD1 went to visit DD2 and DGKs on Friday. She doesn't see them very often because she's at Uni and her free days don't coincide with DD2's, but the children love her, and DGS obviously associates her with me as he kept calling her "Nanna":rotfl: (she's 34)

    All for now, best wishes,

    ivyleaf xx:wave:

Hi,not posted for a while, too busy cleaning & tidying for the people coming to view the house yesterday, and also helping my friend with feeding and walking her pets as her son is in hospital and she is out a lot at the mo.

The viewing seemed to go well, but we shall see. They were very nice and spent ages looking round.Had to chuckle to myself as the house was filled with the smell of fresh baked bread-had the panny on,but we needed a loaf, bet she thought we did it on purpose! I deliberately cooked the pork in the oven after theyd gone rather than have the slow cooker on.I've not had a lot to do today really-its all done. Its DHs birthday today so i made some blueberry and white choc muffins. We'll be having left over roast pork, roasties and veg for tea.

Ds1 has just been round with his pressie and sneaked a muffin or two,and my ex SIL is popping round later.Right better get the spuds peeled.
    Morwenna(((HUGS)))
Puss, hope your cat gets the right treatment and gets better.
    Love to all xx

Mrs mix, nice to see you posting and good luck with home schooling xx

Hello everyone, I thought I'd pop in and say hi. I'm having a bad day today and don't really feel up to chatting, but I wanted to give :grouphug: hugs to all those who want or need them and  congratulations to those with good news too.

    I'll post properly later xxx
  • Well, little bear finally went to sleep and...

I had to go out to speak to someone next door, and I got chatting beyond the 30 seconds that I needed to...

And I have spent over an hour in the freezing cold, nattering, gossiping and possibly indulging in slander. Apparently the council have been round about the mysterious sprouting bollards at the end of the street and someone should have done something and didn't...

So this last hour is old style 'fail' and now it is going to be at least another fifteen minutes before I defrost. Which reminds me that the sausages we were going to have for tea are still in the freezer...

Congratulations to HockeyDuo - so pleased for you.

    Hugs to all
