Puss14 so sorry to read about your poor little cat. Hope you get good results from the tests.
Meanmarie always so hard to make “the decision” but I am sure you will make the right one for Luca.
Kat 79 :T congratulations to your baby girl!
Icecubequeen my exercise today involved a large sieve and some compost, certainly loosened my back!
Hockeyduo :T great news
Welcome back Beth, glad you had a lovely holiday.
Fairyelephant – I use Astonish cream on the oven door.
Tried one of Aldi’s Free Range chickens for dinner yesterday, it was excellent. Did some work in veg patch this morning. Labelled marmalade and chutney jars and put them into garage to store, now need to order some jar lids from Lakeland.
Hugs to those who are poorly , sad or worried and furry purrs to all the pets.0 -
Hi all
I hope everyone is well, we are doing okay here, very many thanks for your continued support.
We had the coroner's results today, it was a blockage in Shaun's heart apparently. DD1 is wanting to do everything right for her Dad, so at least this means we can register the death and get things moving. DD2 is still not showing any signs of grief - I don't know if this is normal
I have made brownies and cupcakes, I think I may make bread, it's always very therapeutic. Funnily enough, Shaun always knew if there was something on my mind if he came home & there was a lot of baking done.
*Hugs* for those that need them and Chardonnay & Fleurie send purrs to the furbabies0 -
Hi everyone,
Fairy elephant - I too have spent some time deep cleaning the oven (I'm still in the honeymoon period at the moment so this might be the last time it gets done). Although not OS I found Fairy Powerspray worked well on the glass door.
Apart from that I have put a week's worth of papers in the recycling and folded some washing.
I know it doesn't seem much but I have been towork today as well.0 -
Our respite from the nausea and dizzy's is over, its the longest OH has gone 7 days, today he has had to go back to bed twice, am waiting for him to get up for his supper.
Apartment cleaned through, freezer and store cupbord audit done, menu list for the month drawn up and shopping list for Mr T ready. I plan to get up early tomorrow and go before the streets are aired.........
Did not have a sleep this afternoon, we got out for a walk, it was quite cold in the wind, but a little longer distance today, and uphill too.......I will be ready for bed tonight. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
........ DD2 is still not showing any signs of grief - I don't know if this is normal
.......
Morwenna :grouphug: Everybody is different, and there is no "normal" when it comes to grieving. I'm sure she will show her reaction in her own time - it may not be until the funeral, or even after, the trigger may be something like her dad's birthday or a special day to her.

Evening all
I'm feeling veryabout this temporary job I have. I hate it HATE IT HATE IT Nearly burst out
just before lunch, and had my bag packed and ready to walk out the door. I have a clash with someone there, it doesn't usually happen quite so strongly but this woman...OMG she had me  within minutes of starting. She is possibly the rudest and most unfriendly person I've ever met - when I ask a question she replies "what do you want to know that for?" and has been shuffling through my work when I'm away from my desk then announced my mistakes (not mistakes btw just different to how she does things) across the office. Some of you older old stylers may recall the difficulties I experienced in wo*k previously and the effect it had on my mental health. Is any job, never mind a temporary job worth it? I'll have to sleep on that question. Or rather lie in bed worrying then get up and post on here at silly o'clock... It's funny but my gut reaction when I was offered this post was "no way" - but I let my head rule my heart and now look what's happened.
Bahhhhhh I'll try to forget about it for now.
Annie - I too have been victim of spontaneous deluges from my nose. It happened once when I was working in Sainsbug's - the supervisor advised me to "hang on a minute" while I was sitting there dripping blood - she didn't close my till and so customers continued to queue and expected to get served. Loverly! Jeez, employers really are some of the biggest bumcheeks ever put on this earth.
Wannabe Sybil - well done on your plans - but remember, Rome wasn't built in a day... When you get the first bag done stand back and tell yourself "Well done" and get Little Bear to give you a clap and an ovation. When you get to the fifth bag, ahh, well you will deserve half a packet of biscuits.
HockeyDuo, congrats on securing the house! I hope the survey gets done pdq and it all goes through smoothly. There is nothing like walking into your very own home and knowing that nobody else has a key. (Though you may give one to your husband if he begs).
I hear there was a hurricane near Dublin today. meanmarie was at the centre of it:rotfl: slow down Marie, there's always tomorrow!!
puss14, let us know how your little kitty is.
Am off to buy food for my three furry masters.
Bye all

:grouphug: SNOWY :grouphug: If this co-worker is not a "supervisor" then maybe you should have a quiet calm word with the supervisor, they may be wondering why they have staff problems:eek:  , asking questions is essential when you start a new job. As for the other, well, words fail me, she was certainly out of order.
Roast chicken dinner for tea tonight.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -

Perhaps your answer to her question could be something like:
"Well, if I can't do the job then I can't support you in your work which is what I am here to do......and TBH, I've been asked to provide feedback on the staff I'm working with and at the moment it is proving quite difficult to do without being extremely rude about you".
If nothing else, it should provide some amusement while she tries to be nice for the "feedback"2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Just a flying visit at the moment, long & busy day, very tired...
Redruby, sounds like you have a very helpful doctor,lol... hope the inhaler works.
Morwenna, grief is a strange thing. My way of coping is to be very practical & not tearful generally, although at other times in private I used to cry.
((((((hugs)))))))) to everyone having tough times, feeling sad or lonely, or worrying about human or pet friends.
