  • Morning peeps.
Set the alarm to get up early this morning :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: It's now nearly 10 o'clock and I'm still in bed. I'm making the most of it though as we are all back to school tomorrow.
Bit grey and glum here so will walk the dogs next and delay hanging washing out til later. My mum and my grandma would be horrified that I was even considering putting washing on the line on a Sunday!
Lunch will be jackets with baked beans and cheese after watching DS play footie - kick off 12.30... Must get some paperwork done today - have been very MSE and followed all Martin's advice about moving credit cards, switching leccie, changing car insurance. I am on my way to being DF - I now have my official Nerd number:T
Dinner will be pork steaks, with roasties, yorkies and veg. Apple & raspberry crumble. Then Larkrise to Candleford

Happy, positive thoughts and hugs to all who need them.
Have a restful, relaxing OS Sunday

    Morning all,

Another nice day here, it really is spring like, hope it lasts, due to the weather, I have put a load of towels and the bath mat in the wm, will get then on the line today.

Not sure what we are up to today, stir fry for dinner, which was bumped from friday and then saturday night  , but it will need eating today, so nice and easy there, dd has asked to learn to make a lasagne, so we will do that today, and also some cakes or cookies for her lunch box for the week.

Yesterday pottered in the garden for a bit, planted some chillis and peppers and early toms, Its strange how you miss gardening in the winter but dont realise you are missing it until you start doing it again :confused:
I picked a load of leeks from the garden, which had not grown brilliantly, so I have a load of baby leeks to use, and my neighbour gave me a bunch of baby carrots, so soup might be made later.

Stef my dd (14) had read the twilight series , and she did not mention any rudey bits, but I dont suppose she would tell her old mum any way, after all I dont know about things like that ;), there is a forth book out now, keeps them quiet anyway :T

Beth I am sorry to hear about your brother, sending positive thoughs your way xx

    Morweena, hugs hun xx

    Mrs N9eav Happy Birthday xx

  • Hello all.

Nothing much going on here today. DH just finished making [strike]a mess[/strike] himself something to eat. Some kind of pasta concoction with a variety of sauces and who knows what else. I'm just not in a cooking or eating mood at all, but will put the pork shoulder in the SC soon for tea tonight. I'll prep the veg after the SC is going. We'll have mash, sprouts and glazed carrots with it. Afters ???

I'll be doing the ironing I didn't do yesterday and tidy the flat. I may clean the bathroom today and then again I may not. Just one of those days where I'm feeling tired and down.

Hugs and prayers to all. I'll try to call in later.

    Peyton xx

  • Morning everyone,
my first time posting in one of these threads so hello to you all, nice to meet you!

Still trying to get into the swing of OS, did a mega clean of the kitchen yesterday using only bicarb, white vinegar and lemon! I was so impressed at how well it worked! The magic it worked on my cooker hobs was so much better than any shop bought products ive tried!

It was my turn to lay in this morning so didnt get up until 10am (although i was up at 4am for about 2 hours with agonsing heartburn - pregnancy related ), then my OH decided he was too tired and has gone back to bed so i wont see him again until lunch! Im sure he is still stuck in a teenage mentality where he feels like he has to spend the night watching FT or QI and then sleep all day! *sigh*

OH can make his own lunch when he awakes but i think the little one can have a ham sandwich and ill make her a little salad, salad for me aswell i think.

Didnt manage to pick up something for roast today so ive got some steaks out of the freezer last night for dinner.

Hugs and hellos to everyone (especially those people who have so much worry on their plates right now)
  • Morning all!!

Managed to get a bit of a lie in this morning! Kids are back to school tomorrow so thought I best make the most of my last lie in!

Had a successful shoppimg yesterday with my friend, even if I did spend a little too much :o Managed to get everything for my costume, all very neon and bright!! including some very bright neon pink leg warmers!! Goodness knows what I am going to look in it all, but I suppose it will be a laugh!

Popped to Asda and picked up a few bargains, managed to get the £2 chickens and the cheese 2 for £3 (£3.44 each to start with!) as well as a few other bits, so I came away happy :D

Eldest DS's tooth fell out last night, which has been wobbling for ages. Only problem is, the new tooth to replace it has already started coming up and has started growing further back in the gum as the baby tooth was still there. We have only just noticed now the baby tooth has come out. I am not sure what to do? Does he need to see a dentist to straighten it out? Or will it do it on it's own? We don't have a dentist as nowhere is taking on new patients around here, so if I did take him it would have to be to the emergency dentist, but it isn't really an emergency? Anyone have any idea what I should do about it?

I plan to get some more washing done today, finally clean up the back garden if the weather holds out as the kids are desperate to go on the trampoline but our neighbouring cats like to use our garden as a little tray! so need to go and clear the lawn before the kids can go out there. Might see if OH will help as I don't have a strong stomach for that sort of thing! lol I also want to do a deep clean of the kitchen, it needs a good going over.

Dinner today is Sausage plait, new pots and veg. Unsure what to do for pudding at mo, hoping looking in my cupboards will fill with inspiration in a bit!!

Right gonna go do some brunch, promised the kids pancakes, bacon, maple syrup etc yum!!

    Bye for now
    Hels xxxx

A lot of my dd's teeth did this and mostly straightened out. She does have braces now as some didn't though. I'd see how your DS's go & ask at your local Primary Care Trust if there are any dentists taking patients on they have an up to date list usually. HTH.
