I always send a dispatch email to let the buyer know its been sent and ask them to contact me if there is any problem - don't know if many read those emails coming via Amazon as the message gets a bit 'lost' in all the Amazon bumph.

I do leave buyer feedback and I don't mean I respond to the feedback they have left for me, there's a button on each order to leave feedback which goes on the buyer profile. I particularly do this if there has been any problem or a claim of non delivery etc. as I think it might be helpful for other sellers to see if the buyer regularly claims or causes problems. From the seller connections board on Amazon it seems some sellers feel that scams are increasing so its helpful if this is recorded somehow.

I often check a buyer's feedback when I get a sale just in case there has been problems noted and if there are and its a good sale then I'll think about insuring it in some way if its more than the POP would cover.

I am having the slowest Amazon fortnight ever - as in no sales at all (I would add a face but I can't see a sighing resigned one!)

    Hi Helsbells,

My sales have been very slow over the last 10 days too - only a couple. And I had been ticking along very nicely - I am obviously on the 'turned off server' at the moment.

Usually other sites make up for Amazon during their slow times, but it seems that sales everywhere have fallen off a cliff at the moment.

Personally I have had no Amazon sales in over 7 days but have had 7 in 24 hours on Play.com - all CDs. Very strange!
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155

Slow for me on Amazon too.

What's the limits on cross-promotion? I assume with every order shipment e-mail via Ebay and Amazon etc. you can include the URL of your Amazon Storefront. But adding this to auctions on Ebay would get you banned.

I did manage to sneak my Storefront link onto a BBC Messageboard a few weeks back :)

I actually emailed customer suppoer as i went from around 20 books a week to no sale sin 6 days!

I think Amazon have been tinkering again though as looking at the seller boards many of us had the same experience. Mine seemed to click back on again Sunday night as I've had 6 sales since then after just 1 in previous 8 days.

Actually it does make me think something has gone awry but then i never know if i am being paranoid as I don't sell a big volume anyway - although always something even if I struggle to make double figure money sometimes. Thanks for that though it does help to know others having similar probs. Congrats on the Sunday night switch and relax as that warm selling feeling returns :rotfl: :rotfl:

You and me both as the tumbleweed is still blowing through:rolleyes:
  • I'm a firm non-believer in the conspiracy theory - but just for fun - the last 4 books I've sold - 2 were listed in 2004 and 2 in 2005, good job I'm a patient soul :D

11 books now in 2 days after a run of 8 days without a sale. Customer services have also told me that there are changes afoot and many of us are changing to a new improved system and we need to be patient if we see any glitches. I for instance can no longer see the condition of the items I have sold, so i have no way of checking the item when I get it out of storage against the condition I stated when it was listed. Silly i know, but I do like to just check.
