Checked my stock and found at least 2 dozen books that were no longer listed. Don't know if it is just me but I will certainly keep an eye on my stock now.

Hi Penny & JesaRose,
have you been changed to the new type of account where the listing details are included on the packing slip? From what I can gather its non pro-merchant sellers who are being changed over first. Apparently one change is that books are no longer delisted after 60 days, this is according to some of the sellers on the Amazon boards, I've not had that kind of account long enough to be sure but have certainly noticed that my closed listing emails don't 'drop off the end' like they used to which is another change.
Are the books which were no longer listed pre-ISBN ones? There have been discussions about Amazon amalgamating lisitngs, particularly the pre ISBN ones where there have been multiple lisitngs created in the catalogue many of which are duplicates or contain mistakes. If you have listed an item where the listing 'disappears', your book is delisted automatically but Amazon don't tell you. One way to check is to go to your open listings and check the 'low price' column next to your price. If the box is empty then your item has been delisted [the box should either have a price or a green tick if you are the lowest price].
Its all a bit of a guddle unfortunately.:eek:0 -
Thanks Teapot.
Don't know if my account type has been changed. Will check packing slip next time I sell something. I am not a pro merchant seller.
All my books have ISBN codes though. I wouldn't know how to list one that didn't.
Many thanks for your advice.

I've got a book which has gone to pending on 8/3/09 which I only found out was pending by noticing it on my closed list. No email or anything. We are now on the 13th and its still on the closed list. Amazon ususally relist after 3 days (72 hours) don't they?April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£1500

On the Amazon seller board it has been suggested that some pendings now last almost a week. The problem is that your two days for posting started on the 1st day, which means if it does convert to a sale you are already over your allowed time frame to post.
I had this exact same problem at New Year and in that instance I contacted CS and explained that I would technically be late in posting as I couldn't travel back in time, and they agreed, in writing, to remove any negative feedback I received because of any perceived delay.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. BTW how are sales for everyone? Mine have completely died, I have only actually had to go to the PO once this week where I would normally go once or twice a day. I've even contacted CS to see if there was a problem with my account, but there isn't.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. That's a good point. I did make a start but it sort of tailed off and I ought to get back on it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi everyone
Three things:
Yes i was wondering why I hadn't had any re-list emails for a while!
I too am quiet. Wondered if the Amazon's own free P & P coupled with the general financial ennui was making things a bit up hill? Any ideas?
Thirdly - does anyone have much luck with large print - I have a box full listed, stuff mum had read, some ex library, some new but all in reasonable condition - sold two all year. I would have thought as being a bit niche this might do well if you price it cheap enough but am tempted just to do a job lot on Ebay to get rid of it - Any one else have better luck?
Finally ...er i know thats four ...why do I never seem to get a bargain on Ebay there is a book Im after started at 99p and with a day to go its gone over £25....people always seem to do well but if I want a bargain I swear these days Ebay is the last place I look :rotfl:0 -
I too have had no luck with Large Print. I've only ever sold one and it was an out of print book so I think buyer would have bought any version. My own way of thinking is perhaps a lot of people who need Large Print do not use the internet. I may be wrong.......... I took all of mine off Amazon a week ago when I had a big clear out. Have re-priced what's left of my stock and today have had my first sale since.
