  • Hi, I am new to selling on Amazon. I have got some books that are brand new that came in a set but were duplicates of ones I already had so am trying to list on Amazon. However when I put in the isbn code it comes up with the right book but a different cover picture. Does this matter? Do I jst mention it in the description or can I not sell them? Thanks in advance. :)
  • Sorry for got to ask as well whether it is worth listing a book that the isbn number comes up with the book I have but hasn't got an image next to it, whereas the same book is listed with a different pic to my cover? Can I list it under the one with a pic instead?

You can list it with the wrong picture, you do just need to mention it in your description.
I would list the other book under the one without the image unless you are sure the other is the exact same book, i.e. not a different year/publisher/hardback or paperback instead
    :)

  • Thanks JesaRose, I have now listed the books with diff cover but am leaving the other one for now. Do you know or other places to list books other than Amazon and Ebay?

greenmetropolis.com is quite good for novels but you don't get a lot of them, about £3 each, better than nothing though. You could try Play.com too, I have sold a few on there and I do sell quite a few of my CDs, DVDs and games too

  • Ooh thanks for that, will have a look. They are only books that I have no more room for as we have so many and the shelves are full up lol. I also have a habit of buying books only to find I have a duplicate at home already but because I haven't got round to reading it yet don't recognise the description doh.

Just had an email to say a book I listed this morning has sold so yay I am happy as coincidently a game I have on there too also sold this morning after months of being on there.

yay, I got my 100% back. It has been 90 days since daft buyer left me a neutral because I sent her a used book and not a new one (condition was stated as acceptable) and the neutral has now been wiped out by positives so I am showing 100% right across the board again. It doesn't even show in my 365 total, but I have checked and the neutral is still there.

Reading the seller boards though it seems that it is quite common to go back up to 100% only to get hit again within a matter of days..sort of sod's law, so I'll enjoy it while I can.

Sales also seem fairly good at the moment, ticking over nicely.

  • I spent ages listing things the other day on either Amaozon or ebay depending on what hopefuly is going to get me the best return, and I have sold 3 things on Amazon already. Am really pleased although I expect I won't sell anythng else for months now lol.
