Selling Your Stuff on Amazon Part 12 - Advice for newbies in first two posts

  • Hi,

Thanks for the response, I figured that would be the case. I guess with 27 sales and only 5 feedbacks so far I can hope for a few more positives which might then get new buyers interested but as you have said it seems that no one really leaves feedback on Amazon. Fingers crossed that some do.

I will give the buyer a few days and if I have not heard anything I will email asking if they will change the feedback as I have apologised and refunded. It wouldn't hurt quite so much as a three star (still a knock but not quite as damning) but a one star is a 20% drop in my feedback at the moment as I am so new. I just wish he had emailed me to tell me of the problem and asked for a refund before posting feedback. I had no chance to resolve and apologise privately. Sigh.

Dammit, looked in a charity shop at lunch today and saw a book about couture sewing that looked interesting, for £1. Noted the isbn and checked it when i got back to the office. According to amazon, it sells used at £19+.

*Crosses fingers it will be there tomorrow*

  • Anyone had any problems with printing the packing slips? Or is it just my computer just deciding to misbehave. Not sure if this is a one off or not. As I just had 2 sales tonight & the first sales I've had in about a week

Not had any sales today to try it on but couple of people over on the Amazon Seller Forum were asking the same question so it seems to have hit some people. Apparently ok for them after a short while so hopefully it will be for you too :D

I had a good day yesterday and had no problems at all with packing slips, to me that supports the different servers doing different things and having different glitches theory.

You don't have to worry about the Tracking ID if its first or second class by RM. You would only use it, if you were using a courier service like DHL, TNT etc. Or even possibly recorded mail. Which would have tracking numbers. Then you would enter it then
  • Thanks teapot 2 and Soolin. Its now back up and running for printing the packing slips. :D:D
  • Well I have got another order today so hopefully that will mean the negative is not putting everyone off. I will just have to wrap everything in tissue paper and tinsel from now on and possibly add a scoop of dried rose petals so I can boost my ratings again!

Still no response from my buyer who gave me a bad review though. Really hope he gets back to me soon. Have done all I can at this end to put things right, just down to how nice this guy is feeling as to whether I get anything amended I guess.

I've sold my first book in probably a month now. Hopefully my dry spell is over now. ;)
