I'm not quite sure what you should do Bookworm as i myself haven't sold much on Amazon and don't have such an experience. However, if she does leave negative feedback i know that you can respond to it by going to your Seller Account and viewing your feedback and then clicking respond under her message.
However i must say i would have never removed the shrink-wrap because if it is new then obviously it will not have anything inside it..MSE allowed me to see the light0 -
Yes, I did say that to her, Lethal, but she was insistent because she had already bought two sealed books that had interior defects! I should have known, but if I had pulled out at that stage I'm sure she would have left me a negative anyway!0

Actually I've just found this - they seem to have changed the Order Details page - it now has a Seller Memo box at the bottom and also a link for Buyer Feedback.
Just sussed out how to check her feedback too - and she's also done the same to someone else! They left her 1/5 - "bought a book described as damaged and asked for 50% refund and he would remove negative comment".
Do Amazon take any notice of these Buyer Feedbacks?0 -
You could try talking to CS about this tomorrow - they may not do much but worth a try. Its also worth checking the buyers feedback for each sale before agreeing to such requests or even just to see what other sellers have written. I guess hindsight is a wonderful thing but if you'd read it first you might have been able to just refuse the request to send to Europe? Hope it works out ok for you and CS can help - explain the buyer is blackmailing you - keep the emails even if they were sent via Amazon. Good luck.0

I decided to write back last night....
I was very polite but firm - stuck to my guns and told her that the book was perfect and could she send me a picture of any 'defect', that if she had changed her mind about the purchase, to let me know within 14 days if she was going to return it. And also that I would not refund any postage as she could see from the postage sticker that the book had cost a lot more than the £3.94 she had paid me in P&P.
This morning she has left me excellent feedback!
So she was just trying it on to see whether I would give in. The question is, do I leave her truthful buyer feedback? It almost doesn't seem fair when she left me such good feedback, but then I now know this is the second time she has done this and she will very likely do it again! Any thoughts?0 -
Bit tricky Bookworm to be sure... She's tried it twice now and other buyers should be aware, but then she's left you excellent feedback. I'm not sure...Sorry not more helpful.
But who's knicked the selling fairy?!? No sales since the 7 in a week mid July! Lowered some of my prices as just (well, I do want bit of profit:p) want rid of these books.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Think I may have the selling fairy here. Sold 2 books overnight. Makes about 5 sales this month which is a minor miracle for me.April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£1500

Hi Bookworm - that's excellent news. My thoughts are that there does seem to be an increase in the number of scamming buyers on Amazon though its still a very small number I think and most people are honest.
I'd be inclined to leave carefully worded feedback - don't leave it under the 'respond to feedback' button but use the 'leave buyer feedback' one so its on their account and not yours. I might just say something like 'buyer initially claimed item damaged and requested partial refund - following email exchange buyer changed mind and left positive feedback'. This is at least factual but you must do what you feel comfortable with - don't put anything vindictive even if you feel like it ie 'buyer is a thieving ****' :rotfl: or you'll have Amazon after you!
Unfotunately buyer could still do an A-Z claim saying item wasn't as described and sellers often feel Amazon just automatically refund buyers without checking out the full story. Hopefully this won't happen though. Also there is a limit to the number of lifetime A-Z claims so that might put them off too. Fingers crossed thats the end of it though - good for you sticking to your guns :cool:0 -
