It is because anyone can alter the catalogue, it was like the spate of pages of items all being written by Enid Blyton (you still get a few).I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I don't know if my Amazon glitch is just on my account or whether it may affect others, but watch your items sold. I'm not getting sold emails anymore and the first I know of a sale is when I log in and see it there.
Also, Amazon customer services have confirmed that pendings now stay active for a full 7 days and only after that are they reviewed and possibly released back to the main selling lists. That means holiday settings should be put on a full 9 days before a holiday as they can take 48 hours to go active and a pending can take a minimum of 7 days to convert. This is ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The other 'good' thing about these pendings is that when they do convert to a sale the original purchase date shows..so buyer already may think they have bene waiting for a week for their item to arrive even before we get notification to ship it.
I have one today, just released to be shipped and purchase date is the 22nd...it also goes onto the sold list on the 22nd so as I'm not getting Amazon emails either I might well miss a sale.
EDIT TO ADD: The packing slip only shows the purchase date of the 22nd..just so the buyer can really be cross when their delayed book arrives 'late' and can leave sellers appropriate feedback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ive got a couple of high priced items I want to sell on Amazon - are there any restrictions on disbursing around £600?
eta: I am thinking of selling a few biggish comp prizes that I have recently won (an ipod and a ps3) and using the money towards my wedding which is next friday - so would need to dispurse as asoon as they are bought0 -
If you are a new seller or even new to that category then yes they may well restrict your funds for 2 weeks, and then when they are released it can of course take another week to hit your account.
You also need to be pre registered to sell high end goods, just in case you need to sort that out as well. If you want money quickly you might find smalla ds or the local paper quicker.
BTW Congrats on the forthcoming nuptials.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. thanks for that soolin
I have another question.
One of the items has disappeared, but it seems to be in closed listings but not showing up as bought? Does it take a while for items to show as sold? It was moved to closed about 30 minutes ago so am totally confused.
Maybe I should relist it as there doesnt seem to be any reason it was moved to closed???

I've had that before, it moved to the closed listings and about and hour and a half later I got the SDN email from Amazon :j0

MuffyO, there are masses of glitches at the moment, as usual..I am still waiting for some sold emails for books I actually sent yesterday yet I sold one overnight and that email has already arrived. I would keep an eye on your books and if it doesn't resolve itself in a day or two I would suggest emailing customer services.
Other people have reported listing issues where stuff is listed but doesn't show up at all, the search inventory doesn't work and some people are reporting that stock doesn't show in the correct quantities.

thanks soolin, I relisted it and it sold at 12am this morning and isn't showing in my open any more so I guess the first time I listed it, there must have been a glitch and it went into closed.

Crikey, I just hope that I haven't sold two ipods and one email still has to come through? Fingers crossed0 -
Just one thought, and not to worry you..but when you check your order page do you have your default set to show all the pendings as well? They don't automatically show unless you tick a little extra box.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
