My work one is Pro Merchant - thats the one I sold 8 on
Home just selling my own stuff is just a normal account - no sales for a few days
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • I'm just selling my own stuff. Was having a clear out of the house. Decided what to sell on Amazon & the rest either went to charity, freecycle, recycled or in the bin
  • I've lurked here on and off for many months, and want to say thanks to all of the regulars for your great advice.

The Selling Fairy has paid two visits this week, after weeks of silence. Two £10-plus books too, which is great! :j
LBM November 2005: approx £32K
    Current debt: approx £12K :T
Getting there one day at a time ;)

What would you say is a good ranking on Amazon? As the last book I sold was 6000 ish but the one before that was 1million ish. There doesn't seem to be much trend to the rankings of my sold books and was wondering what everyone else thought.
  • Has anybody had experience dealing with Amazon if they close your account?

I had the misfortune to sell a garden product that turned out to be not of merchantable quality, and had a influx of bad reviews over just a couple of days, before I had the chance to apologise profusely and offer full refunds. I tried to link in with Amazon and got nowhere and wondered if anyone has any tips to engage them and see if I can get my account re-opened.

Amazon are notoriously difficult to engage in any discussion once they suspend an account they make ebay look like fluffy little bunnies sometimes. From reading the seller marketplace boards I understand that as a suspended seller you can't even get hold of them on the phone as they just refer you back to Sentinel via email and refuse to discuss anything.

Is your ban permanent or for a limited time?

    Hi all,

Anyone know how to tell Amazon that they have linked a barcode to the wrong edition of a PC game?

<---- had to refund someone because they didn't get what Amazon showed, even though the barcode matches the game I have! (And the cover image is very similar)

Fay, I'd abandon all hope-seriously. I had the same for a book, and Amazon just didn't care and I had to sob down the phone just to get a promise out of them that they would remove any neg I might get.

The buyer was really getting cross at that one but he kept my book (with my permission) and had a full refund and left 5*. On my one the ISBN and the photo matched mine but the full title differered. The only reason I knew the Amazon title was right was because when you came out of Amazon and checked the isbn on a different website it showed the real book.

Ah... my guy has returned and been refunded, and left a 4/5 and a pretty positive comment which I guess is reasonable from his point of view.

I don't want to let it slide through so let's see who I can annoy about it!
