  • ok caugt up...good that your dad is on dedicated stroke ward S...contnued prayers for you! One thing I notice (as a newby poster here!) is that people often say that they are dull/boring...certainly not! Surely part of o/s is actually liking a slower/more homely way of living? Possibly why we're fascinated by the Amish! Will def see if I get book from library (banned from buying books till June!!)...
Been feeling better today, if a bit wobbly and had a normal lunch so feel safer to leave the house!! Made a couple of loaves and will do tha starter in a bit and off to a friends to help build furniture! Hello not-at-all-mean-marie...the hats and booties for Fergus were gorgous! Must see if Weezl can teach me to knit!! Must on as bread to rescue!!

Taplady - sorry DS didn't get a full-time job but that's a great result and could well lead to something permanent. Fingers crossed.

  • Don't want to be a drama queen, but not much OS to post - a bit odd here.

Cheese sauce - add marmite. Also for cheese soup. It doesn't taste like marmite, but it adds a 'kick'. Also adds lots of salt for those on restricted diets!

Little bear has got a new little sweater top - a stripy hoodie. He has developed a deep and abiding attachment to this item that I bought last week, so I think I shall have to get a second one, so one can go in the wash. It wasn't even on sale. Last night he was sitting there, obviously red hot, but absolutely refusing to countenance the removal of the top. I suppose it shows he would rather turn the heating off and put on a sweater, which is a Good Thing.

Reverbe - is your regular postie on leave? My regular postie is lovely and reliable, but his cover is dreadful!

    Hugs to all

    YAY YOU ARE BACK!:D

Well in at the tail end today. Had a very hectic day in the office with a dental app this afternoon.
OS wise well, it was porridge for lunch as i decided to work through before I went to dentist. Got £40 off Quidco today so going to get a nice joint of meat tonight on way home. Really craving comfort food, must be cos it's raining and chilly outside.

Full weekend of hockey which means 2 NSDs for me. Going round to friends on Sat night to see her new flat and already have wine and nibbles left from Xmas to take (unopened!;) ).

Hugs to all in need esp sunnygirl & MSD and everyone else with ill family and friends. Keep your chin up.

Hope everyone has a nice Friday and a great weekend.

Have been reasonably productive, have a load of red peppers roasting in garlic oil(smells fantastic here)that DH found on sell by will be making red pepper, tomato and lentil soup shortly. Got the bread in, looks ok(but the other one did as well) so fingers crossed on that front.
Other than that have been on here.
Anyway, have a nice evening. May or may not be back later.

Ann, have you found someone to immortalise it forever on DVD for you? If not, I'll record it for you on mine - I only got the DVD recorder 'cos I got it free on Tesco's old overcharge policy and I barely use it! It would be nice to think it's actually useful...

Thanks, Anniestar! I can't wait for the programme to start and will be cheering you on.

    I haven't seen Jackie0 on here for a while. I know I haven't been here a lot lately, but I hope she's OK.

ISOM...you'll get me a bad name if you're not careful!

Sybil...good to see you...the butter is working with Luca's meds, thanks for tip!

Taplady...good news for DS...something useful in what he wants to do anyway

Was very naughty and had cheesecake for pudding after fish and veg...nice lunch really but rather expensive at €50 for 3 of us. Then went to Aldi which is just beside hotel and spent over €40, mostly for garden so not all off food budget....have to start sowing some of the stuff I have or it will all die...

We will have sandwiches or something else light this evening, probably should eat like that every day, more time to work main meal off in the afternoon.

Looking forward to seeing you on tv to-night Anniestar, love putting faces to names, as someone else has said and so far have only met 3 old stylers...another wish for this year
