somnium - forgot to say earlier - you seem to be doing very well, which is fantasticwith your ivf date approching: keep up the good work:T .
nmm - the fact you are still doing your exercise routine 3 months on is brilliant:T . I think if you have got this far you'll keep it up - missy started small and built layer upon layer of new exercieses with exercise, keeping it fresh, fun and challenging and she's now doing half marathons (can't find fainting smilie)
Hope you feel up for your run tomorrow tagz
dmv - impressive house cleaning routine done in an hr - that must have burnt up a few calories:rotfl: . And now you have a'free' weekend (er to do another essay:rolleyes: )

Thanks beanie - the pilates was interesting - it was more talking than doing, as she was trying to get me up to speed so I can join week 4 of the beginners class tomorrow(and I had done two 1-1's 8 yrs ago so understood a few basics). But it's left me feeling good about turning up tomorrow - I won't feel all confused. So I've written the cheque. Not particularly cheap, but it is very close to home, so I am sure I will make them all, so I will get my money's worth hopefully. Can't really believe it - me - going to an exercise class:o Baby steps.
andylinz - I'm still thinking about a hoop: will get tomorrows lesson under my belt first.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Somnium: Nope, Splenda is sucralose which is fine. It's Canderel that's got the asparteme in it. They do do a click pack too and in a jolly colour!
I see you're going for IVF soon. I really hope it goes well for you. MY sister in law is also doing it this year after she looses some weight.
Happy birthday Granny!!!!
Thanks for all that info sarynclary. I don't have a particularly low supply, but i've always eaten oatmeal since the beginning, so i daren't give it up in case it reduces my milk.
I love feeding my daughter so much. It was really, really hard in the beginning because she had jaundice and lost over 10% of her birth weight and we had a few overnight stays back in the hospital that first week for monitoring. I had to supplement with formula and pump, pump, pump to keep my supply going. I'm so proud that i'm still doing it now at 11 weeks and it's been 8 weeks since we had to give her formula now.I don't even mind the middle of the night feeds because i love the quiet snuggling time. I never want it to end! I just can't believe how easy it is now compared to the beginning. Man, it was hard!! The midwife even said to me "We make out it's all sunshine and rainbows in ante-natal classes because if we told people what it's really like no one would want to do it!" Ha! Don't let me scare those who are preggo and TTC though. The hard part is VERY short lived and sooooooo worth it.
Sarah.

Seren Great to hear your news today-sorry I missed it yesterday:(
Granny A very happy birthday to you, I hope it lasts the whole weekend.
BB Well done on your battle with the crispy skin and crumble.
Vix I agree with you about reading other peoples menu's...it's inspiring.
Sary Very interesting info about breastfeeding-will have to remember it.
Uropa Im not sure if I read right-were you using Splenda whilst expecting? I've been thinking about it all day and been too scared to have any tea:)
I went back to my doctor today because the doctor I saw yesterday didn't really give me much help regarding my meds and I was a bit worried ( I had an appointment booked with my regular anyway). He looked at my test and said he still wasn't happy so sent me for blood tests-but did another dipstick for himself and got a positive. I told him I'm sure its only 4 weeks and he wasn't happy with that either (I want to see the blood he says in his zambian accent-I am an old man who likes old methods) I think what he's trying to do is make sure I dont get poked with too many needles;) He knows I'm phobic and suggested he have me worked up for all the regular preggy checks-told me to let the first preg check doctor know that he'd sent for all of them. He's such a funny man. Of course we now have to move out and I'm worried that I may end up losing him:( And I've spent the whole day trying to get my head around it all-I keep thinking I'm going to go to the loo and the baby is going to fall out! But then now that I say that-I'm sure I thought the same with DS. The thing is, when I found out about him I was 7 weeks, so I already had all the symptoms and I felt like I was pregnant. But now Im only 4 weeks and I dont feel pregnant at all.
Remember I said I was looking for a cookie a recipe? I found one-and tried it-and loved it, here it is:
125g (4oz) Unsalted Butter, Chilled
50g (2oz) Caster Sugar
25g (1oz) Dried Cranberries
125g (4oz) Plain Flour - Sifted - Plus extra to dust
75g (3oz) Ground Rice
I add quite a bit of cinnimon just to give it some more flavour add as mmuch as you like or another spice.
1) whiz butter and sugar together, Add other ingredients until the mixture comes together. Turn out onto a floured work surface. shape into a rectangle (5x3x 3/4 inch) Wrap in cling film and chil for 30 mins (mixture may be a bit crumbly)
2) preheat an oven to 200 C ( 180 for fan) Gas mark Six.
Cut the dough into 3mm slices ( or whatever size you like im never very percise unless its for an order) and bake for 8-10 mins
Makes 24
Last for about a week and a half.

Thanks that means alot that you remembered, am feeling quite happy about the weight loss but still want to shift some more. I just hit the 13st mark this week and saw my first 12st on the scales yesterday (ok so it was 12.13 but hey), would love to be nearer 12 by the time I start the IVF proper (start drugs at the end of next month but main procedure is june). I've been a little lax lately tho not exercising everyday like I used to and having weekends off! Think I need a kick up the backside, the doc said the closer I am to my ideal weight the better chance we have, so I need to get my act together.uropachild wrote:Somnium: Nope, Splenda is sucralose which is fine. Thanks for the info and support, best of luck with your feeding. I work for Mothercare and have attended a breast feeding course with a midwife so although I have no children yet am quite aware of all the ups/downs/horrors and yet still think breast is best hehe, really hope it works for me.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Thank you for all the birthday wishes :j :j .... I can't remember when I've had so many people wishing me a happy birthday. Oh, actually I can. Some years ago my then headteacher (we didn't get on) informed all the children in the school that it was my 40th birthday
Now I'm really old I don't care who knows that i'm 55. (You have to remember Missy's trick from a while back to see the number!) but I minded a bit then.
I had a lovely day - walked to a meeting in the morning about budgets (yes - chose to walk - granny is becoming a bit of an exercise junkie  ) then after work had a meal with daughter and grandaughter then went to 'an evening with John Sargent' (sp??) with OH. What a lovely man - he didn't dance. (Not OH, JS)0 -
Morning all!! :j
Hope everyone is well this lovely morning!
Happy belated birthday Granny
Polkadot, I too remember the feeling of going to the loo and worrying everytime, I think I was worse 2nd time round too as I couldn't believe that I could be that lucky again if that makes sense.
Welcome Geordieracer and LittleGemSaver
Thanks Sary/BB, had a lovely night last night and the hard boiled egg tip from PATINHO was great and I do think it helped. I chose to be the driver last night so stuck to the diet coke so no calorie damage done there. The buffet was yum and although I did have pastry things and some choc deserts etc I didn't eat half as much as I would have done in the past :j and then we bopped the night away til we were all kicked out at midnight!
I didn't get any normal exercise done yesterday like I had planned because the day just seemed to get lost whilst I was waiting for a bloke to come and fix the washing machine, so this morning after brekkie I did 50 mins RC dvd and plan to do another session when my mum comes before lunch to make up for it. Then its an afternoon of watching the rugby for us.
The scales this morning are showing a gain of a lb but I aren't worried as I have loads of time to try and get it back the right way before Wednesdays official weigh in.Following :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -
It's Saturday again so that means update from me
I'ts a 1.5 lb loss this week, which I'm quite pleased about considering I made HM KFC-type last night with chips  . In my defence I did oven bake the chicken after their initial quick fry to seal the coating.Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £81,279.78 May 2037Swagbucks ~ £180 (2024 ~ £395)Surveys ~ £189.89 (2024 ~ £280.14)Make £2025 in 2025 #5 ~ £1,406.55 ~ (2024 ~ £2,561.04)0 -
Morning:D HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR YESTERDAY gs:beer:
What is everyone doing for MD tomorrow? I managed to buy an organic free range happy chicken was £12:eek: got it for £5:D so all the ads about Tesco for a fiver with the veg and Morrisons for £9 don't need to bother with them now, OH reckons that the chicken should cook itself because it is so costly originally:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I hope it tastes fab, went to Makro yesterday and bought my fav swordfish and never tried before shark and a crab, anyone having sushi for lunch? Bought some yesterday from Sainsburys 245 cals for a small tray £2, going to try that today with some crab also, my little one loves fish so it should be a succesful healthy lunch this one:D
I keep meaning to try sushi but the little bit you get puts me off, seems tiny and not filling for lunch but today is the decider, will I add it to my lunch repretoire or be hungry?:D0
