Okay, so i ate all of the biscuits this morning so that i would have none left in the house to eat. ::eye roll:: Stupid logic! Now i only have 400 calories left for the rest of the day. It's a good thing i'm going for a long walk into town. I WILL NOT buy more biscuits!!Sarah.

:wall: Doh! I forgot to log on yesterday, so didn't post my loss! Sorry Raph and thanks for the chart. Oh well, I'll save it to add on to next week (she said so optimistically)!
So, we have a hero in our midst, do we BB? Well done to you. I have to admit, I am the sort to step in, so would possibly have done the same! I'm not a confrontational person at all, but I don't like injustice or bullying. I have been known to get in my car and chase the teenagers in my village to tell them off, make them apologise to another child, and then go find their parents (not that they seemed to care). It seemed to impress my teenage sons though, who exclaimed 'Mummy rocks!'.
welcome Andy, and congratulations on your great losses so far.
Uropachild - well, now you've decided to 'eradicate'! the biscuits, you have to ensure they stay gone! I know that if temptation is around me, then I'll give in to it, unless I'm totally on top of my eating. My OH is also very good, and doesn't eat indulgent foods around me, in fact he keeps pinching all my low fat/calorie snacks (particularly my oat biscuits). Can you encourage your family to eat well around you, especially in the early days when you might be still craving sweet foods? I also shop with a list, and even avoid the aisle with cakes & biscuits, although I think it's unfair to have the chocolate opposite the cereals in my Sainsburys! Really stick with it for a few weeks, and you'll really see the results. Foodfocus is brilliant for tracking your food, but I also found I was logging my foods after eating them, and then being startled to discover I'd had rather more calories than I realised! It helps if you know the calorie values before eating them, remembering how many you've already had, and perhaps having an idea of how many you need to keep 'in the bank' for your evening meal. You'll find that the more you use foodfocus the more you'll know the calories in foods anyway, and I've also made a mental note to keep aside a certain portion of calories for each main meal, so I do 300 cals - breakfast, 200 cals lunch 500 cals dinner. If I can go under these then I allow myself snacks inbetween. I maintain weight if I eat 1200 cals a day, gain if I eat 1500 cals, but lose if I keep closer to 1000. That's obviously how my metabolic rate works. It doesn't make for a generous allowance, but that's just how it is for me:rolleyes: .
Well, today is my eldest's birthday. He's 17 today  good grief, where did all that time go? I simply don't feel old enough to have a son on the cusp of adulthood, although he did tell me I was so immature the other day, so maybe I'm not old enough?:rotfl: I've bought him a 'seriously chocolate cake' which is his favourite. I have to admit I'm not really a fan of chocolate cake, so I'll have a small slice, then probably give it to my OH or one of the children. We may be having a chinese meal though, as it's one of his favourite dinners. Probably takeaway, and I'll stick to the meat & veg dishes if we do. I did it before, and lost weight that week.
Have a fab day everyone, and well done to the fab losses/STS's that came in.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
