Thanks to everyone for the welcome. There's a lot gone on here since yesterday. I'll try to keep up!
sarymclary: Thank you for your encouragement and advice. I did used to have stores of healthy sugar free snacks because of the gestational diabetes, but that all went out the window after i gave birth. I'll definitely have to put some more thought into shopping again, rather than just picking up all the biscuits etc. that are on offer. I did go through quite a bit of sugar free jelly and carrot sticks.
Pokey: I've just had a nosey that that foodfocus and set myself up! I love it! I'm a real geek and love filling out stuff like that, so hopefully it will provide me with the motivation i need. I love all the charts and stuff!
Andy: Hullo there! I'm a noob too.
Well done to all the those who have lost or STS and a sympathetic pat for those who have gained.
Yesterday i did pretty pants, but i figured i should just let loose, but count my calories as a kind of scare. It did scare me indeed! I ate 2400 calories!!!
Today hasn't been THAT much better, but i did hold out on the snacks until this afternoon when i took a trip to Tesco and ended up buying more sweets and biscuits. :: sigh ::
B - 2 slices of oatmeal toast and butter, cup of tea (465)
S - Nothing
L - 3 slices of malt loaf and butter, quiche, tea (475 cals)
S - Biscuits (500 cals  )
D - Salmon, syn free chips, cauliflower & cheese sauce (about 500 cals)
S - Half a toffee cdrisp with hubby (109 cals)
Total for today - 2049. An improvement on yesterday, but not good enough. Damn those bloody biscuits and my crap willpower!!Sarah.

andy - welcome to the forum. You are doing really well. Are you doing a diy low carb or a particular plan like atkins?
Hi BB, I did Atkins the first time I did low carb dieting, but these days I'm not quite as strict with myself as Atkins would be, for example i do eat some fruit (berries mostly), and I do drink dry white wine, but it seems to work for me, and I'm gonna keep it up. I normally have a weigh in on a Monday so I will post any weight loss then. It's nice to be part of a community re dieting.0 -

Am I being stupid or do I just need to change your total loss to 0??
Of to the movies now, will post the chart on my return
Take me off altogether for this week, as I have been properly weighed. And I will be starting again at this "new" weight!
Sorry for the confusion
Hope to be back on next week though!!!

Mmmm butchers sausages! I rarely eat them but when I do they have to be from my butchers. Tonights dinner was curry and rice with left over chicken. I didn't have a big portion and left all the excess sauce, but it was soooooo nice. Good news clothes wise the last few days. When finding something to wear last night I tried on a pair of black trousers that I bought last year when I moved upto a size 18. This was at my biggest point and I never wore them. Last night they were so big that they looked quite comic! No offence to anyone who is that size, I just mean that trousers that once fitted me now hang off. Oh and I bought myself a new pair of jeans today in a size 16 which I'm all happy about. They weren't in the least bit tight and will need a belt after a few wears so thats even better.0

I've lost 20lbs since Jan 20th 2009, it's been done using a low carb method, but it always works for me and I'm never ever hungry on it. I weighed 14st 8lbs when I started, and I'm now 13st 2lbs. Not sure what sort of target weight I want to get to, probably 12st 7lbs or so if I can get to that then I will be happy. Anything under 13st would make me smile. I'm aiming to get to this by my birthday which is 4 weeks today. Wish me luck, and I wish you all the willpower to continue on your diets also.
Meant to say that I'm 5 feet 10 and that I'm male and 41.0 -

looks like i blew another month then.
uropa, i just don;t have biscuits in th hous as i know that i can't be trusted with them. If i have to make a special trip out to get them it lessens the chances of me having a blow out. I'm really pleased that i stuck to plan yesterday too. Went to a talk on stress at the WI last night and it was v interesting. Very odd day today - OH is coming to work with me! They need someone to do a couple of paid days of data entry, so i got his name down sharpish because he hasn;t been abl to get any temp work at the mo. Feels a bit odd that he's going to be in the same office though!
welcome andy, we've got a few guys posting here and there but they are often quite shy. OR they dont lioke talking about poo or sick which we often seem to end up discussing for some bizarre reason . . . . .0 -
Actually it's true that sick and poo are not my most favoured of subjects, however I take as I find.0
