Hi all
I think someone upstairs is annoyed with me! As if my probs weren't enough I did my back in Sat morn as I was getting dressed to go running. I've still got back pain but to add to my misery it brought on a migraine!!!!!! And when I went to the doc I find my blood pressure is through the roof. If I was a horse I'd be hooves up in the glue vat!
Enough moaning! Well done all the losers and STSs. I've been very good food wise but still waiting to see the results on the scales. Sorry to read about some of your problems with mums. I have a moan about mine now and again but it does put things into perspective.
Just for you bbI would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
tagz never rains but it pours eh? Have they put you on tablets for the blood pressure and told you about the diet etc?
pokey take a step back and see whether you think eating a fab gorgeous choc cupcake is worth making your weight loss harder or not?:rolleyes:0 -
BB I am so so pleased for you. :j :j :j I am sure I can see a distincly lilac tinge to your aura. Long may it last!
And as for stopping a brawl --- words fail me. :T :T :T 'He's not worth it' - it must have been just like Eastenders (isn't that what they say?). You deserve more than a medal. What about a sainthood? If we all took action like that we'd be living in a different world entirely. (But I don't think I'm brave enough, hanging head in shame)0 -
Hi Vic
The doc doesn't want to put me on tabs as she says I'm too young so has asked for me to have a 24hr blood pressure tape done (again!). As for the diet I'm already doing everything I should (can't cut out red meat completely as I have to have it for the b12). I know once I lose weight it should help with it but I can't seem to shift it. If I eat too little I go funny (reactive hypoglyceamia) but I have to be careful about the exercise (arthritis and thingy on brain). Just to add to the mix the doc told me that taking B12 vits increases your appetite. Hollyoaks!I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
Hi there all,
I've lost 20lbs since Jan 20th 2009, it's been done using a low carb method, but it always works for me and I'm never ever hungry on it. I weighed 14st 8lbs when I started, and I'm now 13st 2lbs. Not sure what sort of target weight I want to get to, probably 12st 7lbs or so if I can get to that then I will be happy. Anything under 13st would make me smile. I'm aiming to get to this by my birthday which is 4 weeks today. Wish me luck, and I wish you all the willpower to continue on your diets also.
Meant to say that I'm 5 feet 10 and that I'm male and 41.0 -
Hi all. I am very happy to report a 1.5 loss this week, despite going to nandos for dinner last night. Am now down into the next stone woohoo! Will now go read everyones posts, well done to all those who tried hard this week.0

Raph would you mind taking me off the chart and resetting me please! As I have been weighed at superdrug today and will do that every tuesday as I do not trust my bathroom scales, they are different from one minute to the next! Never mind trying to do a weekly weigh in!! I can be 7 pounds lighter in a matter of a minute sometimes!!!
ha, if only that were real!
I will begin again! With the weight that it states on my little printed out slip! And I will post my losses (hopefully) from next week. That way I know it is more accurate!
Sorry? You want me to take you off the chart? Or just putting your results to 0??

Raph: could you zero me on the chart please - I dursn't speak too soon, but I think I may have officially lilacked myself:D. I want to start over, taking my weight as was last thursday a.m. as my starting point. Will weight in tomorrow.
Am I being stupid or do I just need to change your total loss to 0??
Of to the movies now, will post the chart on my return

Today's weigh in is a good start, but only a start. I'm trying to focus on a 'day at a time' approach. I had a couple of bourbons at mosaic class today, and that was ok, but I need to watch I don't start letting myself have little extras here, there and everywhere.
There's no doubt I need to spend a little more money on food at the mo if I am to keep this up, but it's a good trade off for not having to buy the next size up of clothes and for my over all health. Last nights dinner of salmon and rocket salad came to £4:eek: (though the salad has lasted to lunch today). But it was so delicious and felt like a treat. I think I'll have to buy another chicken too to have meat to pick at/snack/lunch on and 'treat' fruit like kiwi's and sharon fruit. I'm about to start growing my own salad leaves but that will be a month before anything is ready but could be worth it as it is so expensive to buy. Must start spouting seeds again.
dmv - well done on reaching the next stone down:T .
And who was it the other day who have now left the obese category and is now into'just overweight'?
Tagz - thanks for my medal:D . Sorry you are STILL going through the mill heathwise. I always feel personally that having one major thing wrong should immunise you against anything else. Good to hear form you and well done on still running:T
andy - welcome to the forum. You are doing really well. Are you doing a diy low carb or a particular plan like atkins?
buttonmoon - I do think totm can have a big affect on what we crave/need. Though I confess there have been times when I've felt entitled to a pkt of biscuits just becasue it's totm:rotfl: .
Sorry raph - how to confuse!! Please zero my totals for a fresh start before putting ontodays weigh in (did I mention I had lost 2lbs)
Todays green day menu:
bkfast: quorn burger, poached egg, grilled toms
lunch: 227g baked potato, low fat cottage cheese, HEa grated half fat cheddar, rocket salad
snacks: HM sweet potato & split pea soup/ 2 x bourbons/apples
dinner: real sausage casserole (baked beans/kidney beans/passata/rosemary)
2 sausages = 10 syns.
I'll probably have wheetabix for my second HEB before bed.
Syns higher than would like today but needed to use the food I had in.
EDIT: dmv - I thought of you when I had my real lush succulent butcher sausages tonight too:DI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0
