Morning all mind if I jump in again?

Mixed bag recently. Medically somethings ok and some bad but weight wise I haven't lost/put on anything.

On the exercise front I recently upped my running to 6.25 km (the .25 is VERY important!) from 5k and I got the Personal Trainer thing for the Wii. Does anyone else use it? It's annoying that you can't skip the exercises you don't like or can't do. Decided to do the Race For Life again this year. The headmaster of my boy's school died last week from cancer so I think I might ask if any other mums/teachers want to join me.

Buttons - your friend sounds a tad touchy. Has he rung yet to apologise?
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

    Morning all!

Andyslinz thank you for the kind words. Last week was a bit of an exception, I wouldn't normally do that much in a week. The bike ride was a bit heavy going actually - the river paths were not the greatest for cycling (whose idea was it to put GRAVEL for part of it!!!), I could have knocked an hour off each way if it was nicely tarmacked. Also anyone in the South East might remember we had near-gales that afternoon, with freezing rain and hail!!! :rotfl: Luckily there was a lovely warm jacuzzi waiting for me at the end! But you're right, I do feel proud. It's almost 20 years since I was last doing that sort of distance in a day :o

If you're serious about running I would highly recommend getting properly measured and analysed for your running shoes. I know it costs a lot more but if you are doing high mileage in the wrong type of shoes you will be risking injuries. One of the most important things is to buy running shoes at least half a size bigger than your normal shoe size - your toes need the extra space so that they don't repeatedly bash against the front of the shoe and become bruised :) Good luck with your training!

BB - Good luck for your OH's op today. I hope it isn't too close to his start date for his job, so that he has time to recover?

Well done on your running progress Raph!

Congrats on the losses folks - Granny you are doing spectacularly well!!! Have you changed your approach very much with this fresh start?

Good to see you back Tagz :) Is the increase in distance part of a plan?

Just got back from playgroup. I walked today (normally I use the bus for this one). I need to get a pedometer since I have to look up my trip on google maps afterward-I have no idea how far I walk. After playgroup I walked up to the high street to Savers to stock up on my cleaning supplies...flylady WILL return to this house this week. I also popped into the 99p store to see if they had any new silicon tins (they did, a pretty butterfly...so I bought it) I also got some new elasticated bandages-a box of three so at least now I can strap myself up again when I have a bad day. After that I walked down to the pharmacy to pick up my meds and headed home. I stopped in at co-op to get milk and eggs and got a sweet tooth...so I am now eating two caramel flavoured snack a jacks:A102 calories in total:j
This afternoon I want to deal with the floordrobe in the bedroom and get the kitchen done (at least) DF is making Pork chops (lean) with egg and beans.

Katie sorry you're having such a horrid day

P.S. According to google maps I walked 3.3 miles:T How cool is that? Without even thinking about it. So all of that was whilst pushing DS in the buggy (full of shopping on the way back)and coming back was uphill.
Surely if I keep that up (the other groups are only about half the distance but there is always shopping etc), then that'll give me a gentle start and make some kind of dent.
