SkittyOnWailord the super pump etc are references to the Davina dvd Super Body Workout, it has two sections that are a full work out Super Fit and Super Sculpt, and then extra sections to add into the workouts, Super Pump, Super Legs, Super Abs, Super Six Pack. You can buy the dvd at play or amazon, but my boyfriend downloaded it for me, so mines a freebie! Woop!

Thanks Andy, Do you need any special equipment for these excersises? Because I think having a structured set of workouts would help me tremendously (my gym is useless in that regard.)

And Hannah, I'm sure you'll lose the weight for good this time round :T

    Morning :)

Going over to the pub later with my mum, DD and my sister, it's such a nice day and they have a gazebo where you can sit outside, and there is a little park the kids love. No doubt lunch or food will be involved but I will order the Caesar Chicken salad I know they do, can't be much calories in that right? Bit of mangy ol lettuce and chook.

So food plan for today is

B - 2 bits of wholemeal toast with sliced chicken
    L - Chicken Salad
    D - ???

Thursdays are always a bit of a mystery, I go up to my mums house normally until about 7/8 at night, so OH knowing I won't be home and there won't be food, will pick up a takeaway, and then tell me he has left me half. I rarely eat it! Esp if it's a creamy curry because when they go cold the fat and grease conjeal on the top. It's enough to put you off for life!

So maybe tomato soup, or a sandwich. See how hungry I am!

the looks of revulsion when I ask people out have begun turning to looks of thoughtful contemplation. So i'd say that's progress :D

So would I, and with a facility with language like that you should be quite a catch!

Shame on the ones who have 'looks of revulsion'

    Hi Skitty..
yeah all u need is a set of dumbells really, and thats for the super scult and super pump bits, the super fit bit u only need yourself! No equipment necessary for that one. My boyfriend joins in with me on the super fit one as he has just started playing 6 a side footie again and wants to be fitter for it. I am Linz...lol, AndysLinz I should have thought about a better user name, as this one causes some confusion!! I'm a girl! lol
I would also recommend davinas 3 30 minute workout too...that one is also fab. Just so as you can have a bit of variety. I go on my exercise bike some nights too, so I don't get bored with the dvd, but I personally LOVE davina, so I dont think I will ever get bored with her.
Didn't do any exercise yesterday as we were busy putting up a garden bench we had salvaged from the tip and done up, looks lovely now though!
Will do davina super fit tonight and add in the super pump as well.
1Hannah well done on all of those exercise classes...you are a good role model to us all!

victory you sound much brighter! hovis biscuits are yummy, but i like to spread them with butter(ly) and probablycheese so on relection perhaps they are best left for the kids.

skitty where'd you come up with that username, it's cool but i'm not sure why. I remember my am dram days with fondness, whats your favourite type of role?

I cook too, but somehow I never seem to have much luck. Of course part of the problem is that I don't go out much to bars or clubs, so I don't meet many girls. It's a limiting factor.

As for the language, I'll never forget my first serious mentor, a retired actor who was directing our school play telling me "That which is not written with care, will not be read with care". I extrapolated that to include that things that aren't spoken with care, will not be heard with care

Unfortunately I know enough about human psychology to know that most first impressions are made by people's physical appearances. So I try to dress nice, keep myself well groomed (without getting too eccentric about it) and comfort myself with the idea that I wouldn't want to be with a person who judges a book by it's cover anyway.

Fantastic, and sorry about the mixup with your name. I'll also check out the Davina DVD you suggested.

Actually the username is a bit embarrasing. :o My usual one didn't seem to be accepted by the site (though I think that was because of a different problem) and I'd run through a few variations of my username. When I'm not on MSE, I tend to hang out on TVtropes.org, a website that takes a sarcastic and very funny look on common tropes in television, TV and literature and one of their articles was called 'SkittyOnWailord' which highlighted the absurdity that in certain games you can breed two vastly dissimilar creatures due to a flaw in game mechanics (in my name's example, the two foot cat-like Skitty and the forty-seven foot tall whale-like creature Wailord from Pokemon)

So in search of a username that would be unique and memorable to me, I just grabbed part of the trope name and plugged it in. If I couldn't have my normal one, I wanted one that highlighted the absurdity that is my life. :D

One topical question, is there a concensus opinion of which machines are better to use? I mean I tend towards the treadmill because I enjoy jogging, but since I excersise mostly for effect rather than fun if I'd be better off on an elliptical or a rowing machine I'd rather do that.

As for my favorite role, I love villainous ones. I really enjoy doing panto villains because they are just so deliciously over the top, but generally speaking I tend to think the villains get the best parts.

Seriously? Most of the pizza's I buy from Sinsbury's (no, that's not a misspelling ;) ) work out at 480 or so calories per half. Which makes half of one a perfect treat for the weekend for me.

Don't own a Wii unfortunately, nor do I think I'll be able to afford one any time soon. I am curious though, does it work? I've seen lots of ads for it, but I don't actually know anyone who owns the thing to tell me if it's worth the hype.
