I hope the change works for you again Marion and hope you stop feeling "bad" about yourself as anyone who is trying to lose weight really doesnt deserve to feel like that.

Well the weather here is terrible today torrential rain so was really tempted not to walk to school but we wrapped up in waterproof jackets and off we went and were fine although my trousers got completely soaked by the time I walked there and back. Might need to get some waterproof trousers for days like today.
Going to pick him up today with his wellies so we can splash in all the puddles on the way home. I have checked how far the walk is on http://www.walkit.com/ so as long as the info on there is correct it is 1.4 miles to school so in a day I am walking 5.6 miles and burning at least 424 cals per weekday.

Re Changeforlife - We are in Scotland and last week ds received a booklet about this from school which we filled out and have sent off to receive an action plan. Maybe worth asking the school if they have any?

My ds is a fussy eater despite my best efforts and has a limited amount of foods which he likes, he doesn't like veg and only eats it in soup although he does love fruit. He doesn't like anything that is in gravy/sauce or any foods that are mixed (Lasagne etc). I still buy full fat milk/butter etc because I think he is too young not to have these in his diet and I don't like having over processed foods.

Last night we made our own pizza from scratch for the first time (have made before with a mix) and ds loved it although he didn't pick any of the veg to have on it, surprised how easy it was and how much nicer than the one from mix.

I do try and cook with him and he enjoys it but sometimes gets bored.
We used to bake a lot but haven't been recently as he doesn't like any cakes/biscuits etc and if we bake them I end up eating it all :o.

Put me down as a 2lb gain please :o It's better than the 4lb the scales were originally showing. Lesson truly learned, avoid pub food, esp the fried scampi.

On another note, the antibiotics still haven't got rid of that lump and to top it all off, they have given me thrush. Good job I have some cream in the cupboard. The Kings of Leon song seems to fit - WooooOOOOAaaaAH my sex IS on fire.

OH is in the process off building some joystick thingy (He's a gaming obsest idiot :D) So think we will go for a walk up to B & Q so he can get some wood he's been whinging about for ages, yet you mention home improvements and he suddenly goes deaf.

I feel very hungry today, I've already had 2 bits of toast and could demolish some more. I won't, but mmmmmmm.

Well done on the Losers and STS!

    Hi All
Well I think my scales last week were wrong cause when I weighed myself this morning I had lost 7lb and there is no way that happened given how much I ate and drank when I was up north. Going to take today's weight as my starting weight now and make today the first day of the rest of my life!!
Am defrosting the freezer just now - what a horrible job and then will do tesco online to refill it with only good things!!

Not sure what exercise I will get today - may just chuck my DS in the buggy and go for a walk round the park (he really is getting to big for the sling)

I also did my Fat % thing on my scales - 43.5% I am so ashamed!!! Will def have to get in training for the moonwalk and get that number down!!

Well done to all the losers out there - I will be joining you officially next week (fingers crossed!)

Victory you're being so sensible but it must be incredibly frustrating for you now that you've got such targets for exercise. Did I miss something - your doctor says the earache is hormonal??? How does that work?

Raph please record a 2.5lb loss for this week. (tries hard to stop grinning quite so much -- a very happy granny)

    :j :j :j :j :j :j :j

No I have had some horrendous head aches where moving/walking is a nightmare and an ear infection and TOTM that was extremely heavy so the ears are filled with discharge and infection, the head aches could be due to the lack of glasses, the temperatures due to the ear and the hormones is related because of just coming off the TOTM and the infections within:rolleyes:
So that is why doc says it is hormonal or partly .
Yes, it is incredibly frustrating but I know me and normally I will never give in, just go right through it and it goes away but now I honestly can't be bothered even to make lunch, have been having porridge because I just can't think straight:rolleyes: I feel defeated, off balance, not quite here, like looking at me from afar , it is just a case of batting down the hatchet and letting it move on at its own pace(I seem to do a lot of that, pacing and not really knowing what to do with myself:rolleyes: and so tired all the time)

button it is a gain this week but will be a loss next week;) have some sugar free jelly to take the hunger away or soup or a few ryvita crackers with hummus or an apple/banana, some cucumber slices or carrot sticks...

marion people say to me why do you ridgidly stick to WW when there are so many other diet plans out there and I always say 'it took 6 stone off me so I know it works' every single person is different and what works for one will not do so well with another so finding what works is a godsend stick with what works.

Re fussy eating kids, mine used to be but now they have got used to what I eat, love fresh fruit, the WW yogs, muller light yogs, the little one is very partial to the crackers and hummus, can seriously polish them off:rotfl: :rotfl: some things they just won't have but things get disguised inside their spag (carrots, butternut squash, peas, chick peas, kidney beans all that can be worked in) there was fight for the brown bread but now they have the seeded batch and love it, the fights for crisps but now they have ryvita or snack a jacks baked not fried and don't say anything anymore and fights for sugary cereals advertised on the tele but now they have cheerios, shreddies, weetabix, clusters, porridge, I use wholemeal pasta and they never notice, the butter has gone to flora extra light and they never bother, the cakes/chocs/biscuits have been replaced with sugar free jelly WW cheesecakes home made, they love them, plain light biscuits no choc ones, they don't have pastries or pies anymore, much more fish, stir fries, the little ones loves swordfish and salmon can eat that by the bucket full:D

Snacks....biscuits, crisps, chocs, sweets, more sandwiches with peanut butter or choc spread

I used to make them cakes, muffins, flapjacks, cornflake cakes covered in choc, loads of desserts

    Now they have....
Breakfast...any of the wholemeal cereals especially porridge they like with fruit on the top with semi skimmed milk they won't have skimmed like me say it tastes like water lol

Lunch for school or at weekends....light babybels, light cheeses, wholemeal wraps with salad in or cheese spread extra light philidelphia, banana, apple for snacks at school, snack a jacks, crackers with hummus,

Dinner.... Wholemeal pasta, stir frys with fish, WW made lasagna with wholemeal pasta and loads of added veg inside, little pots with carrots, peas, veg and lean chicken or turkey,

Snacks...fruit, crackers, hummus, brown bread, carrot sticks, cucumber slices, they love grilled tomatoes, turkey rashers, quorn any of the quorn family, sugar free jelly, no added sugar angel delight, WW yogs, Muller light yogs, plain biscuits....

Just to add both the kids and OH and every single member of my family are not 1lb over weight never have been just me lol, it is nice to know though that they are getting the right amount of cals, protein, fats etc in their diets each day regardless of their weight, I was told by a doc once you can be slim and still unhealthy have too much fat etc.

thats a really interesting post victory, helps show how much variation there can be and that healthy can still be interesting. I hope your ear infection clears up soon and you start to feel better. Let yourself sleep, you need it!

BM - that post made me howl. my dad has to use canesten for his feet as they are so rank. it's known in the family as crotch-foot because he has to put crotch-cream on it.

sary - i'm finding it easier than i thought actually. I sometimes get a bit of a tummy rumble, but I'm never really hungry. Evening meal portions are probably frequently too large, but i'm not doing it at every meal, or even every night so it's balanceable. You can see from the before and after that I'm never quite bang on, but posting together what I planned and what I actually ate really makes me think about things. I think a few others are doing it too, so big thanks to marion who started the ball rolling on that one.

somnium, your plan looks good. Where do you fit in your tea with the exercise? jsut thinking that you don't want to be feeling faint midway through the RC class.

haven't been in the warehouse today, yay!
