somnium, your plan looks good. Where do you fit in your tea with the exercise? jsut thinking that you don't want to be feeling faint midway through the RC class.

Errmm I dont do RC class and most of my excercise is in the morning before breakfast, work generally knackers me out for the rest of the day hehe.

Sary whenever I try to make non-sachet porridge in the microwave it boils over the top of the jug. I make it for just me in a 1 pint jug so it should have plently of room. I'd prefer to use 'real' porridge but as half of it has to be scraped off the floor of the micorwave it's just not practical. The sachet has chemical additives   to stop it boiling up.

So please please can you write another informative post telling me EXACTLY how to cook porridge for one person in the m-wave? The sachet is 28g and I use 160 ml of liquid so I guess the quantities would be about the same, but timing and power and size of container ..... ppppllllleeeaaasse.

Hi, used to have the same problem but found some deeper bowls in Sainsburys, I think they may have been meant for soup, they are slightly narrower at the base than normal desert bowls but open up and are a lot deeper. Afraid I dont measure things much but I would say I use a heaped tablespoon of oats and fill the bowl to about a third full with semi skimmed milk. Cook in a 700w (D) microwave for 3 mins on full power. You can adjust milk and oats depending on how you like them but it has never erupted over the side of the bowl yet!:rotfl:
