Are you feeling better today Victory?

Thanks for asking, no afraid not, self preservation, not like me at all normally do not give into it and keep going but this time have stopped wii fit, have stopped pushing myself and feel very unwell, doc gave me ear drops, doc told me it is hormonal, so resting for a change in this house is taking place, I KEEP thinking I should be doing this and that and can't just do nothing but for the past two afternoons have slept:rolleyes: unlike me but I am determined more to feel better than to push myself into worse:D

I am so glad for you, the pic looks lovely a whole lot different to today where it is raining buckets:rolleyes:

Sary - Fab-u-Lous post! Full of common sense and good advice and easy tips, that we can all use. I've recently changes from full fat to semi skimmed milk, white to wholemeal bread and only wholegrain cereals (my kids are 2, 4, and 6 so a lot easier to do at this age!) and they love their fruit and yoghurts. DH buys some junk food but i have asked him to stop or only buy it very occassionally and it does make a difference. My kids are all "normal" weight, but i wanted to make sure i was feeding them good things more than bad.

Dipsy - and all other parents - have you signed up for the Change4Life thing that they're advertising everywhere at the moment? It's through the NHS and they've got a website where you fill in your family details, e.g. age and number of kids and a typical day in your life - and then will send out a personalised action plan for your family to show how to get fitter and eat better. Am waiting for mine to come through and will try to implement at least some of it! Worth a go and its free www.nhs.uk/Change4Life

Thanks for posting the picture from your walk BB. It looks absolutely lovely, I'm glad your day for being able to go out coincided with a day of sunshine.

Victory you're being so sensible but it must be incredibly frustrating for you now that you've got such targets for exercise. Did I miss something - your doctor says the earache is hormonal??? How does that work?

Raph please record a 2.5lb loss for this week. (tries hard to stop grinning quite so much -- a very happy granny)

alliwantistosave - I hope your shoulder improves soon. I've had a dodgy shoulder for several months now, but am pretty sure if I go to the Dr. he'll just say it's my age, or arthritis. My lifting/heavy work last week has aggravated a problem I have with my hands, that I've not had a bad flare up with since the early 1990's, but it's back, and painful. I think it's RSI, and I've had cortisone injections before, but they weren't very nice, so hope it will calm down after some rest.

Victory - I think you're being really sensible about resting up. It will possibly take only a few days for you to feel better, and recharge your batteries. Your body is clearly crying out for some TLC, so that's what you need to give it. Is it still ear pain you're suffering from? I'm wondering how that's hormone related? I have trigeminal neuralgia, which during a flare up gives me the pain of migraine, earache and toothache all at once - yes, it's that nice! I know how debilitating ear pain can be. Are you able to control the discomfort with painkillers? Hoping you're back to feeling more like your old self again soon. If it's any consolation, I've got a wheezy snotty cold right now, so have sidelined the Wii Fit for a few days too.

plzhelpmesave - great idea for that link. I'd seen the ads, but didn't realise they offered that service.

katiepoppycat - I'm really impressed with your dedication to your new regime, and your eating plan looks like it stays fairly well on track. Are you finding it satisfying enough, so that you don't feel hungry inbetween meals?

BB - I think I'm going to copy and save your picture and go back to look at it whenever the skies are grey here (like today). What a gorgeous part of the country, and how lucky you are to have it available when you feel up to it. I'm glad you made the most of a good day, and thanks for the picture. I'm taking the family down to Cornwall this summer, and am planning to take them on plenty of clifftop walks. I'm even more keen to do it now!

    Granny - brilliant result!

Right, schoolrun beckons. Have a brilliant day guys. Catch up again later.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Unfortunalty the change4life campaign is only for England (I'm in Wales) so I can't get the info pack sent to me but the info on the site looks good.
Actually I will ask MIL if I can have it sent to her address as she is in engladnd.

Well done all the losers and maintainers and fab post sary! Glad you enjoyed you walk BB it looked lovely!

I have had another disapointing weigh in and have decided to come off EE, I think I need the feeling of being in control of my eating and EE never gave me that feeling so as a consequence I never stuck to it properly. Back to good old red and green for me, at least I know I have lost weight with it before. With all the weight I have gained since Xmas I am back to where I was 8 months ago, a terrible waste of money and my time. Who wants to feel bad about themselves for 8 months? Not me!!

So I am doing mon to thurs as green and frid to sun on red with weigh in at class on Monday morning. Please put me down for 0.5 pound gain this week Raph and hopefully next week we will see me back down in the losses file!

    Love
    Marion
