Well, I've had a busy old day, more box lifting, moving, packing, carrying, etc. There IS light at the end of the tunnel though, and it is probably only another couple of trips before the house is fully emptied, and then we only need to lift the wood floor. My neighbour at the old house spoke to me today - I think curiosity has finally got the better of her, and she looked quite surprised that I might want to move out! May 3rd is my day to hand back the keys - yahooo!
Food today:
B - porridge (229 cals)
snack - banana (110 cals)
L - Maximuscle protein bar (204 cal)
snack - 1/2 pkt snack a jacks (50 cals)

I feel so much better for cutting out the carbs & bread again this week too. I'm feeling full of energy, my skin is better, and I feel much less bloated. Amazing how your diet can have such a big impact.
Hope everyone has had a good day. Thanks for the chart later Raph! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Thanks Raph. Not been 100% this week so far as I have been feeling a bit odd. Over the last few weeks or so I keep getting the shakes, like I need food/sugar. I sometimes wake up with it too, this morning I had porridge and then nat yog with fruit at around 10am then by 1pm I was shaking and feeling a bit odd. I am beginning to wonder if this could be diabetes, does anyone recognise the symptoms? I am quite lethargic at the moment but have not noticed excessive thirst or toilet visiting. I have made an appointment with my pharmacist to get a test - getting to GP is difficult unless a real emergency, so I thought go there first and see what they say. Sooo I have been craving sweet stuff and although I have stuck to diet pretty well I have had the odd biscuit or bit of chocolate. Not expecting a loss next week.0

Congrats to everyone who's lost or got a decent result of any other kind this week!
Seren - true, I said I'd never be a runner and it turns out I was right, I'm only a slow jogging plodder(deffo not a 'mega-marathoner' either as the most I've done in one go is 21km!)
It's curiosity that got me out there - people were talking about race for life, running 5K etc. I started telling myself that surely, with my accumulated fitness from all the other things I was doing, I could run 5K if I really tried.
It's grown from there really, but it's not so much the actual jogging I enjoy, it's the exploring aspect. Discovering all these footpaths, trails, fields, woods, forest, hills, heathland, countryside, commons etc. Getting well away from towns and roads, not seeing another soul for a couple of hours sometimes. It's like a mini-holiday, I rarely do the exact same route twice so there's always something new to seeI come back feeling like I've made a little journey or been on my travels
The biggest favour I did myself with my running/jogging, was for the most part to forget all about speed & distance (though I do still go for PB's when I feel like it) and just focus on making every session as interesting and enjoyable as possible
Does that help at all? I think finding your own running 'niche' is a big part of making it work - a bit like the way we all have different approaches to our weight loss, there are also many different ways to run
Thanks for the q - you really got me thinking about that one!0 -
Morning:D everything has returned to normal in the bowels so :j:j:j that was something I would not wish on anyone:rolleyes:
I have a question for you missy rather daft one maybe but here goes..with all the exercise you do if you have say 200 cals for breakfast then 300 for lunch and 400 for dinner etc as an example and then go out and do all the exercise and it burns it off, can you not be in negative cal daily intake having burnt off what you have consumed?0 -
And another question for Missy. How do you choose your routes? Are you lucky enough to live near a lot of trails or do you have to make specific trips? Unfortunately I live in a small village and the only nearby running options is on the narrow roads.0
