Brilliant advice as usual sary. I'm happy to report a 2lb loss this week. It wasn't long ago that I got down into the next stone, and now I'm at the half stone mark so Im very happy. I think I will struggle to not gain this week though, as I have a curry for OH's birthday and then am out drinking at the weekend which will be malibu and non diet lemonade. I know its just "empty calories" but I havent even sniffed alcohol since January, and I only had 2 drinks then so I think I deserve it. That will more than likely lead to some sort of takeaway at midnight as well, so not good! Oh well, I will enjoy my night and wont hold back, just have to be extra good and do a bit more exercise to try to make it a sts.

Am off to get dressed now, and take "the" dogs out. Am dog sitting till tomorrow, and as they are both young they bring the hyperness out in each other so they go ballistic. The carpet gets black with hair in minutes as my friends dog is long haired, and I cling onto paracetamol like its going out of fashion! Still, they enjoy it and its so handy to have a friend you can rely on to look after your animals when you go away, so it works both ways. Then to the pet shop for supplies, charity shop for teddy bears as all hers are now deheaded! Then to visit a friend, then uni, library, home, walk, dinner, uni work! Todays gonna be a long one...

Movicol is about to be drunk, fret not.

Well they came and seen the flat, and they seemed to like it, liked the view, asked if I'd leave my electric cooker behind for them and they'd leave their gas one for me (I prefer my cooker to theirs but it would be a small price to pay) but then they told me that word has spread about them wanting to move and they have had about 8 offers. They told me they'd let me know in a few days.

I feel really bummed out now! It was going so well and people are trying to steal my house!! How dare they!

    Where's the cake....

    HI all!
    Welcome to the newbies! :hello:
Well done to the losers sts and chin up for the gainers.
I am posting a 2lb gain please Raph! I exepected so anyway...since I had not been able to resist the easter eggs :D

I have begun my Race For Life training! Went for a 1.5m run yesterday morning, took 13.55 minutes and I felt great after it. I decided on this one for my training, as I have already got quite a good fitness level and managed the 1.5m run ok. I wouldn't say EASY, there is definately room for improvement. I am just so glad that I have started, I will be cutting out the DVD sessions, maybe I could do it on the Wednesdays CT bit, tonight I am going on the exercise bike though. While andy does some weights.

Food wise has got back to normality today...as I am back at work. I am not going to be sooo strict with myself, as I do need alot of energy for the running, but I will chose wisely and still eat reasonably sensibly.

Good luck with the house situation, fingers crossed for u!

(Its a blatent lie but the word G-A-I-N shouldn't exisit whilst one is on holiday....)

Missy - Question for you :-)
I know that you are a complete fitness convert....and running is one of the suprises that came with it (think i'm right in remembering that you swore you'd never be a runner and a year later you're a mega marathoner.....)

what helped you get out the door to start running the first couple of times?...have toyed with the idea for ages...but it never goes beyond the thinking.....so I wondered if there was anything in particular that got you from the procrastinating to the doing iyswim
