Happy easter everyone!!! I had half a galaxy egg for breakfast, and matts folks have invited us over for a BBQ later. Matt cooked pasta last night and i cant say im feeling too hot in the bowel department this morning but he was trying to watch doctort who and cook at the same time. The dr who i watched last night was hilarious, i mean jesus. Can't believe something so silly is so popular, it was nigh on as bad as some of neighbours action scenes!

anyway, just nipping on while matt goes back to the flat to get me some knickers. FFM im still i my nightie, but this is a complete rarity and im only in it still because i have no knickers, and while im all up for airing myself like my mum always told me to do in my childhood there comes a point where it gets a bit wrong. So sadly even 12 is a bit early for me now.

Anyway, have a nice easter sunday everyone

VIXSTAR - thats a great loss, well done! I sometimes feel tempted to folow weight watchers again as I have all the books (older ones tho) and know I definitely wasn't eating less, maybe even more like you say. I think I would probably lose more weight quicker, but then comes the same effect of maintaining had I done a calorie controlled diet (constantly having to count points/ calories). It obviously works for some tho.

Well I've just had a bowl of the ridiculously expensive curiously cinnamon cereal. I tried it at my dads and its amazing. Not only is there no own brand/cheaper brand alternative, but sainsburys is the only supermarket near me that sells them, so extra expensive. I felt fine before I ate, and although I dont feel sick this headache and the shakes have returned, what the hell?!

I need to go have a look at the budgets for the rest of the month, and try to catch up on the minimum of work that has been done the last 2 days. Feeling ill will have to wait today, I really just dont have time for it anymore.

The weather looks a bit brighter today, hopefully there wont be anymore rain. Have you had your predicted heatwave yet BB?

    Happy Easter everyone xx

I'm having a proper Sunday dinner today, a rarity for me, so I hope it doesn't mess me up so close to monthly weigh in :)

Vix - you might find cheap plain bed sheets at a pound shop or similar? Careful of going too cheap though - the material may be rather thin!!! (Hopefully you'll have some knickers by Monday...?) :rotfl:

dmv I hope you feel better today, you poor thing :(

    Good results FFM & Vixstar!

VIXAROONI - have you ever thought about journalism?! I for one would buy a newspaper/magazine if you had a column where you were as frank/ honest/ funny as your writing style is on here!
  • well done vixstar: shows the plans work I guess if we stick t them:T.
dmv - I think you are doing really well with tha weight loss doing what you are doing. And as yous say, by incorporating it naturally into the way you eat together you are more likely to keep it off, otherwise you have to stick to ww for ever more presumeably, which suits some well, like Victory, but I get a feeling wouldn't suit you.
You've been poorly for a while now - do you think it is some virus or do you think this is worth checking out with the GP?

Never heard of the 24 hr starving your self sary, other than the old starve a fever, feed a cold. I always eat what ever I fancy when I've got a lurgy. The thought of not eating for 24 hrs is quite terrifying. So I'm intregued by this approach and the fact it seems to work. Not sure how it would work for me though, as I am on mega immune suppressants, so if I get something it can last about 2 weeks. I always find I need food to give me the energy to recover.

The promised wall to wall sunshine has NOT materialised. It is overcast light grey. Boo Hiss.

    Todays menu:
brunch: bacon, salad, fried mushrooms & toms
dinner: ratatouille, quorn pieces stir fried in bbq spices topped with 42g 1/2 fat mature cheddar
snacks: no doubt there will be some...:D. Probably weetabix later & rye bread with something tasty on top.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

dmv another variation on the 24hr starvation is to just have full sugar lemonade for 24hrs, preferably a flat or only slightly fizzy type. It's easy to digest and keeps your energy up. Altho this is usually for a 1 day bug, I agree with BB it may be worth seeking medical advice as this has been going on for a while.

3lbs off for me this week!!
Very, very happy with this considering there was an Easter dinner and some pizza involved, I am very aware this might register later in week so will have to be an angel this week. I am loving being back on SW and the bonus is I have sold my remaining CD sachets to my neighbour.
Have a lovely Easter everyone, my kids!! (14 and 11) are having a whale of a time hiding and finding some mini eggs around the lounge, much to the disgust of the dog who can smell chocolate 2 miles off!

BB - My doctors isn't open again till Tuesday, so if i still feel bad then I will try to get an appointment. Have a feeling that will be difficult though after they have been closed for 4 days. I get very easily run down though, and the pills dont help. Like you once I get something it takes hold quickly and hangs on. For example EVERY June I get an ear/throat infection and need antibiotics. Thats because ive been pushing myself for school/college/uni and trying to get everything done well before my holiday. So I crawl through the first week or so of June then within a few days of being on holiday I feel fantastic as I've dropped all the stress and rushing etc.

Sorry you haven't had the weather you were predicted - we were predicted rain from wednesday - monday night! Right, still shaky after eating so have decided im gonna eat another bowl of cereal and see what happens! Kill or cure etc...
