You guys do know what !!!!!! means don't ya? Memories of American Pie come flooding back :rotfl:
My dads gf was away for a week once and in an attempt for me to spend some time downstairs with my dad we watched American Pie the Wedding. Fortunately he found it hilarious, but was a bit shocked after looking to me for explanation on the word !!!!!!!
Well I got 12 hours sleep last night, and feel a bit better for it. Gonna have some cereal now as feel a bit sick (whats wrong with me?!) and then need to get dressed and go to the post office for OH. Such rubbish weather.0 -
Hello I'm back! Just caught up with the chat .... you've all been busy. Welcome to the new peeps.
Barcelona was great but three days wasn't long enough. We're planning to go back next year some time to see the things that we couldn't fit in. Hopefully by then the exchange rate might have improved. Spain is still good value - especailly for food - but the euro=pound has really hiked up the cost.
I put on 3.5 lbs in three days (and really wasn't eating/drinking loads and walked for MILES) but hopefully most of it will be gone by my official WI this week. That isn't for the chart Raph. Once BB has lilacked you, you just can't go off track too far.
nmm, some of us even know what a !!!!!! is thanks to Vix who explains all the hard words to us.0 -
Welcome back Granny.
I watched the anorexic program and it was scary , I couldn't imagine eating that small amount of food but I suppose you can see how simple dieting could get out of hand. Anyway I tempered that with watching Willie's Chocolate factory and I'm much more interested in tracking down his chocolate than trying the 2468 meal plan.
Right building up the nerve to try porridge for the first time, I've cornered myself into it as I don't really have any other option for breakfast and then I'm off to the estate agent to get my flat selling rolling.0 -
Glad you had a nice time Granny. I dont think 3 days is enough anywhere:D I'm having my vitality breakfast now and then off to friends-I dont know if we'll come back today or tomorrow. They come round here all the time (spent christmas here too) but we've never been to theirs. Purely because they have a car and no kids-so its easier that way as DS is comfortable at home. They are coming to fetch us though which is nice. DF and have been DYING for a good piece of boerie for weeks so I plan to indulge. I did however, make the potato salad to take with so I could have a bit. The traditional Saffer recipe adds condensed milk, so if she had made it I wouldnt be able to have any. So I used my recipe (light mayo, dijon and Italian salad herbs).
I feel a bit of a 'nana with the packing...clothes...breakfast cereal...vitamins....thermometer:rotfl:thank goodness my thermometer has a memory otherwise I'd have to take the chart too:rolleyes: I think I'll weigh on Monday morning so at least I can weigh at the same time as I normally do-just a day late.
But I suspect I'll be needing a lilacing from BB anyway;)
Hope you all have a wonderful day today, and will "see" you all when I get back.0 -
Morning all. I'm glad to say ignoring myself yesterday paid off and I feel much more cheerful today.
OH at work again today (running an easter egg hunt in the NT area he works in).
Just had breakfast of 1/2 avocado, roast red pepper, toms and fresh basil leaves. Delish. The scales made me very happy this morning but need to stay on track to consolidate it for w.i. next week.
Glad you had a good time granny - I think that weight will drop off quickly.
Still here dmv- haven't been banned yet:D
Vixstar - what's the plan with the move?
Great pics missy:T
nnm - fantastic result with the jeans - you are so going to enjoy this summer looking so good.
Beanie - how's it all going with the game plan; how are you finding sticking to points?
I'm really lucky that I am not that bothered about chocolate most of the time so easter doesn't feature at all as a choc minefield to get through.
Hoping to get more practical tasks done in the house tody so OH & I can enjoy his 2 days off tomorrow & Monday, with the weather forcast as el scorchio. Also need to firm up meal plans for next 3 days to ensure I have everyhting I need and can get away with having to buy anything else til Tuesday. Have been given a large bundle of rhubarb so must make a massive crumble for OH tday and freeze the rest in portions.
I have also just received my first digital camera in the post that I got for under £20 on ebay:j. Can't use it yet as need OH to take me through it and I need batteries, but I can sit here and stroke it:D. I deliberately bought the same type as he's got so he can explain stuff:o
No pilates this morning as it is easter, but I hope we will get a decent walk in if the sun does shine sun/mon.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0
