DMV - Probably a bit of both! I've never understood why they do it, and I'm always reluctant to walk past rowdy teens, esp if they are in a big group (I sound old haha not 21) Because you know they are going to be utter idiots!
I had a few vodkas at my mums yesterday, which is probably why I was mouthing back off at them, If I had just ignored it they would of found something else to heckle at, but I can't stand filth like that being shouted about, esp since my sister was there (I'm not naive enough to think she doesn't know what it is!) but it's the principle!
Breakfast - Cheerios with FF milk (I never seem to have semi skinned in, oops!)
Lunch - There is leftover WW beans in the fridge so will have those with some toast.
Dinner - Think I'm making a curry.
It's DD's 3rd birthday tomorrow! Not entirely sure what we are doing but I'm taking her and my younger sister out for the day, probably to the carnivals, out for dinner. I was going to make some cakes today but it's probably a bit pointless as we aren't having a party (Don't know enough people!) But maybe make some fairy cakes to munch on later on in the day or something.
Her Grandma is making her a ben 10 omnitrix cake, not sure how that will look but she was insistent she wanted a BEN 10 CAKE! She is such a little boy sometimes! Esp when she is wearing her Ben 10 boy pyjamas, ben 10 slippers and ben 10 watch, haha.
All her presents have arrived, though she got the parcel from the postman before me, and ripped it open and it was the little ben 10 figure - so guess what she is playing with now
But she still has her fuzzy felt and bike from us! We are going to assemble it tonight when she's in bed (Well OH can whilst I supervise) My mum has gotten her a big pink unicorn from the bear factory, that has shoes for it, because Keira seen it a few weeks back when we were walking past and dove in and had a right paddy when I wouldn't buy it for her, I think it was because the horse had rollerskates and a lead on, so you could pull it around was what made her think it was amazing - My mum didn't get the rollerskates and lead because that comes to an extra £10 but Keira already has about £60 sitting in birthday cards so she can buy it herself.
Keira's Grandma (OH's mum) better not buy her messy toys again, they once got her a big floor mat puzzle made of foam with the alphabet, except she was only 1yrs old and didn't have a clue except chomping on them and throwing them around. The amount of times I slipped on that chuffin foam was unreal
Right, I best go and tidy some more around the house, go wipe down the kitchen cupboards I think! Have a good day folks!0 -
Where IS everybody?
Here's me checking in too!
Not much to report on the weight side of things. Monthly weigh in is on Tuesday and fingers crossed all looks fine at the moment
Exercise not too bad, it's school hols so I'm a bit more limited than usual but I've done an hour's hilly run (with DS leading me on his mountain bike), a manual treadmill session at home and a 2hr session at the gym (while DS was at the play centre) since Monday.
I posted up a few pics from some of my jogging routes on the other thread here, if anyone's really bored today and fancies a quick look at some scenery
Have a wonderful Easter weekend everyone!0 -
Afternoon:Dbeen busy painting thedining room in happy yellow and boy it is bright and happy, waiting for it to dry to seewhether we can live with it or not:rotfl:
I am lucky I am not keen on hot cross buns and the boys and OH have had them for so long now where they are bogof or 2 for £1 or recently the Tesco ones for 30p seems a cheap and cheerful snack/after dinner nibble for them so on Sunday will not even bother getting anymore we have the turkey and that will do, the kids have an easter egg each and that is that, they don't need a sugar fest ,when they were little we went to visit family and one year they had 16 each:eek: still eating them in June, ridiculous:rolleyes: I ATE my green and blacks one BOGOF at Tesco last weekend, well I tried but kids scoffed most of it.
Chocolate wise I really learnt from MD, I bought myself a box of quality street £2 in the sale and put them away and then thought no it is just going to get to the day and I am going to sit and eat them all, making myself ill so I opened the box and divided 4 sets of a handful of sweets, each person got their fav, everyone was happy and me more so because the cals were controlled and I only had a few:D0 -
We're having another lazy day today-we always have at least one a week end, so being a long one we may get at least two in.
Had my vitality breakfast this morning and then a tesco light tomato soup (I did gorge on the breadrolls though and had 4:eek:Thankfully they were wholewheat and only 135 cals each.) I have also been very good with my water. I'm contemplating a batch of cupcakes later, because I have some leftover buttercream left in the fridge and I dont want to waste it. But Im not decided yet.0 -
OK, I've lied already! I didn't have soup, I had 2 hot cross buns! I only had a scrape of flora on them though, and even felt a bit sick afterwards as pennance! It is Good Friday though, so I think even the good Lord would forgive me that.
Buttons - My youngest loves the colour pink, and HE's also had a bit of a thing for dressing as a fairy. Mind you, he's the butchest looking fairy. I accidently ordered him some personalised pyjamas when he was about 4, that were meant to be Simpsons, but ended up being lilac and pink Winnie The Pooh ones, with his name on them. I couldn't return them because of the personalisation, and they ended up being his favourite pyjamas. He's 8 now and still wears them! He's had his moments of wearing a friend's daughter's makeup, etc., but despite being in touch with his feminine side, is still a boys boy. I was a tomboy (still am in some respects), and like playing cowboys & indians, war, climbing trees, guns, cars, as well as dollies and hopscotch. I'm taking a load of the boys train tracks and cars up to my goddaughter next week, as I don't see why we have to give them only gender based toys. Toys are toys. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Am gonna have 2 toasted scrummy hot cross buns for lunch, as despite feeling awful Im starving. Happy easter to all who celebrate it.0

Me neither beanie - been trying to work it out but I'm clearly not darn wiv the yoof enough:o:D
I am thoroughly fed up to day and a right mope: but I know it's hormones so have chosen to ignore myself and doggedly get on with lots of home jobs that need doing: the washing up mountain, batch cooking, cleaning the bathroom and other exciting stuff like that. Best to ignore the shops like this as I could happily spend my way to cheerfulness:nonononono:D
Tried a fab new recipe last night using lamb mince that ended up on skewers and even OH enthused (the ultimate ackolade(sp)).
Todays menu:
bkfast: quorn burger & poached egg
lunch: 2 small slices granary bread toasted with 42g half fat mature cheddar & worcester sauce.
snacks so far: plum, apple & weetabix
dinner: roast chicken pieces, roasties for OH, steamed green veg & gravy
evening snack not yet decidedI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
