Sitting in an immaculate flat at the moment as I've had estate agents in doing apraisals today, last one coming in tomorrow and then I have to decide (and untidy my flat!)
Loving the lighter evenings just come in from a two mile run and I wore shorts and didn't end up with chafed thighs so have obv lost a bit off my thighs.
I have noticed I've got quite a few stretch marks from the weight loss - does anyone know if something like bio-oil or cocoa butter actually makes a difference?

Vixtar OLIVE OIL.I swear by it-better than bio oil and a fraction of the price. You can get it at any pharmacy. Ask for olive oil for massage purposes.

Hi all. Well today hasn't exactly gone to plan! After I posted on here I made myself some cereal and one of OH's friends turned up. Cue me in my dressing gown talking to him/them for 3/4's of an hour! Then TOTM has had me in absolute agony and so hormonal that after hours of unproductive work all my frustrations had me in floods of tears and stomping around. Took the dog out and had a lovely walk as it had stopped raining and the air was all crisp and fresh, so felt a bit better after that. Got my usual quota of work done but still need to do a bit more to try and make up for the lack of it yesterday.

Dinner was pasta bake and meatballs which were supposed to be only for OH, but some made their way onto my plate! I also bought some hot cross buns (which I have avoided since they appeared everywhere for easter) and gave into a pack of mini terrys chocolate orange eggs. The total 100grams is over 500 calories tho! Will have to make those little babies last and worth it!Oh and OH is now going out for chocolate...I'm the one with cravings and he's gonna buy chocolate! The worlds gone mad...(my little world at least!)

    Hello, I'm here!

I've been busy packing today, then I popped round to a good friend in my village (the one I'm leaving) for a cuppa, but our chat got hijacked, firstly by her teenage daughter, who my eldest son tutors for maths, and then by her elderly parents, who just love to have a chat with me - well, her mother does! We'll have our own time together again hopefully next week. I've packed up the remaineder of my youngest 2 boys' bedroom today, which leaves only my room, and bits & bobs to do. It looks far worse than it is, and there's little left now, apart from boxing up the remnants of our life there, and hitching a ride outta there on the first moped to Freedom City (sorry, I got lost in a Young Ones sketch there)!

I nipped into Sainsburys on my way back from the village, and then bumped into another friend I do the village show with, and we ended up chatting for an hour by the frozen peas - as you do! I'd rung BF @ 4pm to say I was on my way home, and walked through the door at 5.45! A hasty tea was cooked. He had left over bolognese, and a very generous portion it was too, and I did me and my youngest carbonara, but I had a very small portion. Must check out the cals on Food focus, but I've had a really good day today foodwise.

I have a new, added incentive to stay on the straight and narrow too. I've decided to go along to a school reunion next month, which gives me exactly 1 month to get another half a stone off. I should be able to do that, but think I need to truly refocus, and having a short-term goal is probably just the ticket! I wanted to do 2 stone by late April, but have stalled at 19lbs, but that's not so bad I guess. It's not 28lbs though, is it? I've done better than my friend who is meant to be slimming with me, who gained 11lbs in the last 3 weeks, so I think she may even weigh more now than she did in January when we started! She's had a lot of ups and downs, so I think that's part of the problem. I've decided I can't use ups & downs as excuses to gain weight anymore, as life is all about them, isn't it? I have to learn to deal with the ups & downs, and not use food as either a crutch or a reward for good/bad times. It's partly down to that, and the fact I just love to eat, that has got me needing to lose weight. As it is, I feel slightly reassured that I only need lose another 20lbs before I am in the normal weight range, which feels attainable for this year.

    Food today:
    B - 3 slices wholemeal toast
    L - Maximuscle Promax bar
    snack - snack a jacks
    D - wholewheat spaghetti & carbonara sauce

I know I haven't eaten loads today because I've felt hungry before every meal, and actually feel peckish now, but being busy has meant I've not been inclined to snack, or falter. I just need that to continue for the next month too!

Polka - I think it's disgusting that a mum could leave her child like that. She must have been desperate for the childcare I presume to pull a stunt like that.

Vixstar - I've no idea if anything other than time helps stretch marks fade. I've had mine since I was in my early 20's, even before I had the children, and they've faded to a pale white/silver, but are thankfully more around my hips area. I am a bit self conscious of some on the inside of my elbows, but I've had those from when I was overweight as a teenager.

Vix - what are you having for your takeaway? I'm going to eat bad things by proxy at the mo! I don't have the LG cookie, but I have got an Ericsson 902, and am not happy with it. I have reverted back to my old Ericsson 610i, which I love because it's so easy to use, small and lightweight. I must confess I do love Ericssons though.

Raph - I did post my STS, but I didn't put it in big letters, just in bold red, so that's probably why you missed it. I did my post rather hurriedly, so apologies for not making it easier to spot. I'm hoping my 'loss' will be on the list again next week - she said oh so optomistically! lol

Well, I've just done my good deed of the week and typed up a CV and email application for my eldest step-son, who wants to change his job. I've made him sound so super duper that if they do call him in for interview, they'll be convinced he'll have had a personality transplant! In this current climate though, it's not likely hardly anyone will be getting an interview. My BF was delivering to a factory last week and 1 job ad for a job in the factory had attracted 1400 applicants! For 1 job! Now isn't that a sign of the times?

So, who's having hot cross buns tomorrow then? Did anyone give up anything for Lent? I gave up chocolate, cakes, & general sweet things. I almost wish Lent would continue for another 40 days because it's been such a brilliant excuse not to eat thing when offered!
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

VIXSTAR - I also have stretch marks that Im hoping to reduce. The ones on my boobs are now more like uneven skin tone than stretch marks, and arent really noticeable unless you are looking for them. The ones on my tummy I want to improve tho, and have recently started using an old bottle of bio oil that i bought years ago. I havent really noticed a difference after 2 weeks tho, and I hate feeling all greasy for about an hour after. I think maybe the idea is to nourish the skin while it gradually fades over time, so that it "heals" and looks better?

Well OH has come in with 26 milkyways?!!! Thats a hell of a lot but apparently it was cheaper, and he knows that I love them and make them last so its all good.

haha DMV, my boyfriend will do that. I will ask him to get me a chocolate bar and i'll request a normal sized one - every time he comes home with a whopper, or two!

Scary: I had a tika masala, with tri coloured rice, a naan and 2 onion bajis. I am stuffed!! We did take the dog for a walk after though.

When does lent finish???? Matt and i have given up chineses, and our reward is planned for sunday!

Beanie, do you ever watch flog it? Youre use of the term, "wee" reminds me of the lovely scottish lady whos on flog it.

Hi I'm here too, just been busy: will catch up properly tomorrow.

Beanie - don't know enough about cp to know if you've seized up through unfamiliiar exercise, or your muscles have gone into spasm through over use? Sorry you are so floored though. Yesterday I had a wonderful 4mile walk along the undercliffe walk (white cliffs to the left and gorgeous sea to the right.) Paid for it later and had to crash to bed barely able to function: so my sympathies xx
Vix - brother's girlfriend - if she wasn't paying towards your share, then none of her business and I hate horrid texts: say it to someones face or not at all I say. Well done for ignoring her.
polka - what did the mum say when she returned???
    dmv - pmt nightmare:eek:. Tomorrow's another day.

    Be back tomorrow peeps
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
