Victory - meant to ask - how do you feel now about not seeing your name on the chart. I know it must have been very odd at first. I know I felrt ridiculously emotional when my name moved from the main chart to the maintainers. Felt a bit lonely and lot at first:o
Well to be honest far too sensitive  it sort of made me gasp and for me to have a sharp intake of breath:rolleyes: I am trying very hard to get my head around it but it will come it is just a change and I am not partial to change;)

As for the ideal weight/BMI, the 'charts' say I should be 8 to 9.5 stone to put me in a normal healthy bmi range (100 to 130lbs). At my lightest adult weight I was 9.5stone for my wedding in 1990. I've had 4 babies since then, and the weight has fluctuated accordingly. In my own mind, I'd like to be a size 12, and I'm a snug size 14 now, so it's not beyond the realms of thinking. I am a small frame, I barely scrape 5ft 1in if I stretch my neck and after a long night's sleep (you're taller in the morning) I'm a size 3 shoe, and I have to wear children's gloves, rather than adults, so I could even get away with being a size 10 if I really thought about it, but I am curvy, even when i lose weight, so that may be hard to achieve. It would be interesting to see what that might look like on me though.... I've never been a 10 in my adult life! To be a healthy BMI would be a winner for me.

    .

I think we all feel we could be lighter, less size in clothes better BMI when I got where I am today you would expect happiness etc but it just adds to the stress maintaining all the time and never ending counting calories, I had an eat day the other day and boy did I go for it because sometimes it is more greed, need, frustration, annoyance I can't eat what I want when I want (not necessarily masses all day every day but some would be nice:D) I am having breakthroughs though, the other day bought and cooked unsmoked bacon and never ate it once I took a look at all the fat swimming in the pan gave it to the eldest who was very happy to eat it:D

The one thing that keeps me going is the clothes that fit do not want to go up a size (get loads off the boot fair and great bargains, tight money wise but always look good thanks to the car boot sales and don't want to waste them)

    Im back
Sary thanks for asking-it was tough. I only saw him for a few minutes and then she and the hubby went to the doctor. Apparently they left her open on the table for about 45 minutes whilst looking for a consultant because they didnt like the look of the scar tissue from the first. She has been on antibiotics and got a call from the doctor today saying they were the wrong ones and could she come in. Turns out she has MRSA-but DS had fun playing with her older DS. I was just even more sad because her husband kept on about how they have to move out of London-even to another country. They are obviously going through a stressful time, but I wish now I hadn't gone-i felt like I was just causing more stress. And even sadder as shes become my best friend here and now they are talking of leaving. Also very scared as she told me her DH had to leave the hospital-he wasnt allowed to be there whilst she was in labour because she was on the ward and not in the delivery room. There is no way Im strong enough to do the same if I do get pregnant and its really made me feel horrid. Of course Ive also been on my feet all day in my trainers so my toes are KILLING me!
Oh well, best I pull myself toward myself for another hour or so to get the dinner cooked. DF is not home yet.

Hey gang life has been keeping me so busy I forgot to pop in and report my STS for last week, hoping this friday I will see a loss even if it is only 1lb! Bad news on the excersise front as I had to go to the doc on Monday as I had really bad pains in my hip the past week, turns out I've damaged a ligament, or so she thinks. So am needing to go a little easier at the mo :( Really wanting to pig out atm, bad chocolate cravings but am trying to resist lol.

Ive got a confession.......i took a wispa out of my easter egg :( i tried so hard not to but theyre right by the tv just looking at me and i had to give in!

Polka, why would her husband have to leave the hospital if shes in labour on a ward, and why was she on a ward? I hate london hospitals, theyre horific. Great people work in them but ew no.

DMV: sounds weird that. Keep your eye out and if it happens again it might be worth telling your local PCSO, they might have more info or give you advice.

Hearing you guys talk about maintaining makes me glad i dont calorie count. I know that suits people, but when do you stop counting afterwards? It would do my nut in and i think i would do the same as you victory.

I think i will have problems concieving too. Ha, another one, but then i think its maybe a better mindset to have. I hear about other women and they think that the miricle of concieving is going to happen straight away when in reality its not! Then there is the pressure of why havent i concieved...whats wrong ect and its a vicious circle.

Same with my own mother really, after 13 years of trying to have me she thought no its not going to happen. Booked herself in for a hysterectomy because her periods were so bad but then a routine pregnancy test found that i was in there. There are so many stories out there about how women tried to have babies and then once they had relaxed and given up hope they fell pregnant. Can't be coinsidence i dont think.

I forgot to say earlier - thanks to everyone for the comments and advice RE healthy bmi versus personal goal. If I could pick a dream size and stay there without any effort (!) it would be a 10, but I think a size 12 would be easier and more realistic to maintain and I think I would still be happy with it.

im a 12, and a must say i dont mind it but really im still not happy ha. I looked at myself in the mirror the other day in my bra and knicks (fashionably non matchind ha) and thought it wasnt bad really. If you have big boobs people will focus on them first. Sadly, my beyonce !!!! is what draws in the crowds, only to make people feel better themselves knowing that the amount of cellulite i have on my legs can't be replicated on any other human. :p

dmv, youre like the same age as me arent you? do you find it hard to stay at a weight, like everything you eat goes wooooooosh straight on?

VIX - how lucky that there was a routine pregnancy test! I agree about not being able to just expect it to happen, hence why we have agreed to stop using protection and just see what happens, although we wont be specifically "trying" as it wouldnt exactly be the "ideal" time.

Im thinking maybe I need to up my daytime food intake, because maybe thats contributing to my feeling a bit rubbish. I have cereal for breakfast and then soup for lunch, which is under 400 calories, then generally nothing until dinner. If I put in a snack at some point then hopefully that might help "keep me going" as despite I'm not necessarilly feeling hungry, I can get a bit headachey and shakey.

Im 20 next month, and find I can put on weight soooo easily. As in if I dont "watch" what I eat 4lbs will go on in a weekend.
