After seeing how well raph has lost the weight and kept it off, I have been spurred on to try and loose the extra pounds...although this week gain 1.10 lds. not doing that well so far. I have to say my appetite being low this week has not helped since it has caused only junk food to be the thing I want to eat when hungry
Raph: I have to say after all thethat I was loosing the weight...here I am going...put it back on again. Bet if I tried your scales now my fat % would be alot higher!!!

Well done to all the losers especially she loves and pet.
DMV I'd ultimately like to get to a healthy BMI but am aiming for a weight slightly above it as it's what I used to weigh and I felt and looked fine then, even a nurse agreed with me.
Think my dodgy internet connection is tring to persuade me to get on with my huge amount of housework.0 -
polka: i hope i didnt make you feel......cant think of a word but i hope you know what i mean when i say im going to wait untill im married. Marriage is something i really want to do with matt, but i feel like he is almost my husband anyway! I dunno where my life is headed, i mean im not even engaged yet! so babies might come before marriage and i wouldnt care if they did really, but the plan in my head is marriage first then babinos, but it depends how long matt is going to keep me waiting to get engaged. Ideally i'd like to start trying when im 25ish, and thats in twoish years time so realistically somethings gotta give!
I thought i was on my own with the pill thing!! To be honest i hate all forms of contraception, I don't even like condoms. Roll on the day when matt can take an anti sperm tablet or something.0 -

Hello All,
Buttons - good luck with the exchange. I tried to do one a couple of years ago, with the lady immediately across the road from my BF, when I knew she was planning to buy somewhere, but asked if she'd consider doing an exchange beforehand, and I also offered her £2k as an incentive. She said no. It was my lowest point in a long, long time. I think it was one knock too many over the years. My poor BF didn't know how to cope with me blubbering away telling him how desperately sad I was, along the lines of living a life I didn't want to live, etc. You can imagine he was worried! I'm usually so resillient, but it knocked the stuffing out of me being refused, for what, on the face of it, was simply unkindness. That lady did move into a house she and her OH bought, and my BF even helped them move, and had been offered their old patio slabs by the OH (to use for a shed base), but in the end she even refused to allow him to have them! Thankfully I believe in karma, and know it'll bite her on the bum one day.
Thanks to Polka, dmv, BB & Missy for the support and advice re. my eating sensibly. I've weighed in at a STS this week, which suits me fine. I'm eating more calories each day, but I see it more as fuelling my body at the moment, rather than for weightloss. If I'm not getting hungry, I won't be tempted to make bad food choices. I'm having a rotten TOTM which is tiring me out, and making me feel dead grotty - a downside of not being on the pill for me, but it's preferable to being on it anyday! I can't recall who it was a day or so ago who said they predicted having problems conceiving once they try, but a word to the wise, I thought the same thing (irregular periods for years where I'd go months without one, etc). I came off the pill and was pregnant within 2 weeks of trying! I'd planned a year of trying, another year of investigations, 5 years of IVF before we went into the adoption process - yes, that optomistic! Little did I realise I'd only need to twang my knicker elastic before I fell pregnant!;) I know it's not that way for everyone, but I was prepared for difficulties, mentally anyway. I think I was more shocked when I fell so fast actually. I couldn't stand up from the loo for ages after seeing that blue line.
Polkadot - how did you get on today seeing your friend and her new baby? It must be very difficult for you at the moment, but your time is coming very soon too, so hang on in there, and be glad for your friend, and grateful for sharing her joy. It's hard when everyone else seems to be either pregnant or giving birth - that comes with your age group unfortunately. Thinking of you. Oh, and I put the pics of BF on Facebook for morale boosting purposes only! he he - well, it gives me a boost seeing him half naked!:rotfl:
Unknown3rd - welcome to the board.
dmv - your unwelcome visitor outside sounds rather alarming. Do you have an outside security light, or might it be a good idea to install one? I put one up for under a tenner, and it made me feel much safer. I do think you'd be wise to report it to your local police station. Does it seem to happen at a regular time of night? It's a pity if it is a homeless person, and shows the desperation of others. What a sad world we live in sometimes.:(
As for the ideal weight/BMI, the 'charts' say I should be 8 to 9.5 stone to put me in a normal healthy bmi range (100 to 130lbs). At my lightest adult weight I was 9.5stone for my wedding in 1990. I've had 4 babies since then, and the weight has fluctuated accordingly. In my own mind, I'd like to be a size 12, and I'm a snug size 14 now, so it's not beyond the realms of thinking. I am a small frame, I barely scrape 5ft 1in if I stretch my neck and after a long night's sleep (you're taller in the morning) I'm a size 3 shoe, and I have to wear children's gloves, rather than adults, so I could even get away with being a size 10 if I really thought about it, but I am curvy, even when i lose weight, so that may be hard to achieve. It would be interesting to see what that might look like on me though.... I've never been a 10 in my adult life! To be a healthy BMI would be a winner for me.
I've had a quieter day today, as it's going to be action packed over the long weekend. I feel better for it.
Food:
B - wholemeal toast
L - ham roll
D - bolognese with wholewheat pasta
Too high in carbs for my liking, but it's kept me ticking over. Possibly not enough fluids today, so will make sure I have more during the evening. Right, off to cook the pasta now, BF will be back from the gym soon. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Sary - I have only noticed the gates being left open for the last couple of days, and that coincides with the dog being weird, so think I would know if it had been longer. We have a light but not a security one. TBH I doubt whoever it was will be back going by the fact that they barely got out of the garden before the dog got to the gate, and she was throwing herself at it so probably scared them off. Little do they know she will run and hide if you shout at her!Still, to me thats perfect, barks her head off at strangers in the house but is really a softy.
Oh and sary it was me that said I'm expecting us to have trouble concieving. It wouldnt be fair to go into details but the fertility issues will be with my OH and therefore our chances of concieving naturally will be about 25-40%.
Despite having a meal plan I have been very unorganised today. Have done no uni work and havent got anything out for dinner. Think I may be coming down with something as I feel lethargic, headachey and rubbish. Now do I go for a healthy meal to try to make myself feel better or something comforting?!0 -
Sary - That woman sounds like a right ****h, would of been no major trauma for her to do it would of it? Some people are just odd!
I've been busy all day, got all the bathroom tiles sorted, they aren't perfect as we didn't have a tile cutter but my mum said he'd probably rip them all out anyways and decorate to his taste, it's really just to make it look more presentable!
Cleaned the bathroom from top to bottom, didn't realise how manky it was
DD's room has been cleaned and tidied, though why I bothered I don't know as she has hauled all her books out again
Not sure when they are coming to see mine, but within a week I presume, so just trying to get bits done everyday, think I'll get the walls/skirting boards/doors all cleaned, as I went round examining and I see all these mucky fingerprints and marks at child height......
I'm going to see their house tomorrow night I think as he told my mum I can go round whenever soooo I think a trip to my mums tomorrow is in order!
Food wise it's been a bad day, chips and macaroni from a baker my mum took in (I dare not even THINK of the calories in that) and I just had a bowl of chilli (no rice) with a slice of bread. So maybe I haven't went OTT today but I know I'll be starving later on tonight!
Should of burned some calories running around like a headless chicken with a bottle of bleach and a sponge hehe.0
