Somnium - you can do it! You've done so well to get this far, so it's not unthinkable to think you could do 1-2lb a week for the next 10. Is there a tiny tweak you could make to your daily allowances, such as cutting out 1 snack, doing 30 mins extra exercise a week? I have had a sneaky peek at the scales this morning, and it's not shifted at all, so I'm determined to stick strictly to plan for the next few weeks too, so I'll be there with you!
Well am quite lucky I burn plenty of calories each day as I have an active job and am not one to stand around. I also run an Army Cadet unit 2 nights a week so again that keeps me active. My main downfall is I love my food especially savoury stuff yummy! Lately as my weight loss had gotten good i slipped a little and started alowing my self more treats and weekends off, I also stopped exercising everyday! So I know the answer and I know I can do it because I managed it before without too much effort. back to 30 min of step each day on the wii fit and sensible eating and I should be well on my way
On a plus todays meal plan went without a hitch, so a good startMy main effort this week is I have wed, thur and fri off work using up the last of my annual leave, and must not sit on my bum infront of the TV. Plan to take my fur baby on a couple of nice long walks weather permitting and do a bit more on the wii fit. Can't do much else as am skint hehe!

in a bit of a pondering mood. Obviously we've all got an ideal weight/size/look we'd like to get to but do you think there's a weight that our bodies will settle at and without an extreme (and potentially unhealthy) effort we won't go any lower?
I think so. When you keep hit a brick wall, in weight loss, and no more weight is coming off, even if you change certain aspects of your diet/exercise regime etc and the weight will still not budge, i think this is the ideal weight. Only when extreme weight loss begins - after hitting this wall - will the body loose anymore, and this would be an unhealthy weight/size to be at, as it has not been achieved healthily.
The "IDEAL" weight for my height is between 7stone something and 8stone something, now I know that if I was ever 7stone something, I would just look ridiculously thin, and unhealthy. My goal weight is about 8 to 8 and a half stone, which I have decided on myself. I wouldn't attempt to try and get down to 7 stone something, as I know I wouldn't look attractive. I am naturally curvy, and I wouldn't want to lose my curves:D
Everyone has been busy busy on here today! I just read it all...
NMM Good to see you've been keeping at the exercise!! It's motivating when you see changes in your body, spurrs you on:TIt has clearly been working hence you LOSS!!! :j
1Hannah This fruit juice you aim to drink lots of cups of each day...Is it just normal dilute juice?? Or is it something else? And is this just to get your water intake up? Great to see you have stuck to your plan today! Fab!
andyroberts Sounds lovely that you cooked for your mum on mothers day, and I'm sure you deserved the break from the diet for one day!
Missy Woweee you have been a busy bee again! Did u get chance to read about my bike crash??
Buttons sounds like you have been having it tough of late ((HUGS)) and I agree with katiepoppycat! Don't say you CAN'T have a hobby, why not? Sign up to one, and he will have to work around you for a change, one night a week, for you to have a little freedom and you time, he can watch the baby. Or if you don't want to join a class, then just have one night a week to yourself in the house, pamper yourself, have a nice long bubble bath, catch up on the soaps(if you watch them) watch a movie...etc etc, do something just for you ! Since he is so keen to do alot just for himself! My andy quite often leaves stuff lying around, i am constantly picking up after him...and it gets annoying, but I just think, I can nag at him and get him to pick it up, or i can do it now for him and it will be done...shouldn't think like that though!
DMV try not to feel too down about the food you have eaten, just put it behind you and think positively about what changes you will make tomorrow, start planning ahead more, thats half the battle...the other half is being motivated enough to eat it and ENJOY it!!
sarymclary Thanks for the pic!!! Ha! My andy would be mortified if I posted a pic of him on here, lol! Great work with the shed tho!
victory my andy is like your eldest for the xbox ... he is on it quite often, if I have any jobs I'd like him to do, I always say "BEFORE you go on the box, please would you,...insert chore man hates here!":D:D No I don't ask alot of him, just manly things, haha like take the recycle out, put the bins out, empty the bin/hoover. Please carry my iron and ironing board and ironing down stairs for me, lol so I can iron in the living room. I wouldn't dream of asking him to iron, I am old fashioned (even tho only 21yrs old!) I couldn't see him ironing a big pile of ironing! He sometimes irons a shirt for work, if I haven't done them for him. That's it. And Dishes! Don't get me started on dishes! I don't know if it's just my andy, or is it all men? But he honestly is the crapest dishwasher ever! He puts in pans before plates...making all the water mucky and doesn't clean stuff properly, the water he washes them in is practically cold! Now me, I like to have a HOT HOT dish of bubbly water (most time so hot, I have to wear my rubber gloves!) Maybe Im just particular?? He is banned from washing dishes lol, cos I will only have to do them again. He hoovers though, now and again, but would never just go and get the hoover, I would have to say to him. Why is it men never think a room needs hoovering??
tagz I think I only got back on cos I HAD to, it was the only way home! And I'm glad I did, mind you, I was sooo cautious the whole way home, stopping at EVERY little opening to make sure there were no cars! Next thing on my shopping list...cycling helmet!
Food has been a bit up and down today
Breakfast was special K - I don't measure either...just have same bowl everyday
Snack-Banana, cereal bar
Dinner- Jacket potato, cheese, coleslaw, lots of salad
Tea- Fish fingers and chips - maybe not the healthiest but better than burgers and sausages that andy had with his chips!
Snack-NikNaks, Scone and a wispa shhhhh!
Ok so I had a bit of a naughty day...and I haven't done any exercise, as I think I need to let my body recover from the bike ride, my back is aching!
I will try harder!
I baked tonight, corned beef and potato pie, and a ham and egg pie, and scones (hence the cheeky scone I had) this is out MS way, for andy to take for his bait all week, I will bake every weekend (should have done it yesterday) and hopefully what I bake will last andy the week for his baits. I will stick to my Co-a-leekie soup, baked potatoes, cous cous, etc etc
Who works in an office? And finds it hard to fend off unwanted chocolates/cakes/biscuits that collegues are always bringing in?? The dreaded HOBNOBS are still on the kitchen bench at work with the sticker "eat me" on them! I will NOT!!!
Sheeeeesh another huuuuuge post from me! Will make u either a)entertained or b)tired and sleeeeeepy!

Its this ideal weight listed by BMI calculator's and others that got me thinking. I think the "just right" zone for me according to them is between 8 and 10 stone, now 10 stone may be achievable but I don't think 8 stone would be a good idea, healthy or possible.
Its also interesting how people of the same weight and height can be totally different sizes. My sister is marginally shorter than me and weights pretty much the same yet she's a size 10 and I'm a pretty consistent 14 and my mum, who is actually a few inches taller, got down to 8 something stone yet I don't think she was ever smaller than a 12. Seems strange to mebut true. Although as a large proportion of my clothes are now (recently) nicely fitting 14s I wouldn't like to get much smaller as it would get very expensive! I've already replaced some work clothes which I think may end up on the too large side soon  (in a good way!)
Sorry for the ramblings. Had a pretty bad day with the office biscuits today as I didn't have breakfast before work. And I managed some exercise in my lunch break but couldn't get to the after work session as I had to stay over an hour late at work. Tomorrow will be better!0 -
Hi
I've just spent an hour reading some of these posts.
I have the real insentive I need to loose weight by the summer. A wedding and a graduation. I don't want to look at the fat photos for ever!
I'm 5'8" and weigh 14 stone 4 lbs and I'm size 20
If I'm sensible how much can I realistically expect to loose by July 11th? Knowing this would be a bit of extra insentive.
Many thanks
Lou-louDoing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
STS for me please raph. quite chuffed as this was a deffo naughty week.0

morning all! I think the general consensus is right. Everyone has a natural upper and lower that you have to really work to get around - i think you only have to look at celebs like natalie cassidy to see that. The poor girl fought her body all the way to get to the shape she did with the video, and the second she relaxed and started to be less focussed, back the weight came. Sometimes you have to accept that you are never going to be that shape - I come from family of short, round women on one side, and I've inherited my grans no calves on the other. I'm never going to look like posh spice, but then again, i wouldn't want to.
Andy, I find that the drawback with low carb or with slimming world - a slight offpiste moment really hits hard. Ihope you really enjoyed it. DMV I am going to tell you off. Not for eating fish and chips, but for having nothing all day before it. Thats not good for you hon. I know there are a few people on here who have very little appetite but if you starve your body it will become less efficient and you'll end up in a vicious circle of eating less and less and finding that you don't lose weight.
well, yesterdays plan was
special k chocolate, milk and oj
ricicles, milk and apple
cup osup
beefcake and veg, tom juice. PRobably a few chips as well.
and ended up
special k chocolate, milk and oj
ricicles, milk and apple
sachet croutons, 2 slices ham, 2 pieces of cheese
beefcake and mash, gravy, tom juice
Today I WILL STICK TO PLAN
cocopops, milk and oj(weighed my cocopops out of interest and it was 40g; so only 10g over the recommended)
special k chocolate, milk and oj
cup soup
vegeburgers, rice, sweetcorn and tom juice
BTW claire from steps is starting to get a bit boring now - anyone want to do a temporary swapsie for another exercise dvd? I need one that is broken into sections because I don't have a full hour every day. I do claire's warm up and cool down, and alternate the cardio, combat and toning. I've3 enjoyed but I've done it nearly every day for 2 months now so it's time for a change. The hunky men at the back take off clothes as the workout progresses, and after you've watched it a few times you realise they weren't picked for their coordination as they get the routines wrong all the time.0 -
Morning:D I feel very happy today and full of love (there's a lot of love in this room-darius:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ) I have been feeling very down about not having a job but that seems to have lifted and sunshine has arrived:rotfl: there is a lot that is associated with a job apart from money but it will come one day so going to be happy and calm in the meantime:D0

Can't offer any advice on the OHs who don't do their share of the housework/childcare. But I can offer hope for the future - since OH retired, almost exactly a year ago, he has taken over responsiblity for the housework, cooking and shopping. I would never have believed how this totally hopeless man, who couldn't even switch on the washing machine without written step by step instructions, could turn into some one who changes the sheets without being reminded, shops for food bargains, washes the floor ..... and actually gets cross if I put things on the 'wrong' shelf in the fridge. I just cook at the weekends (because I want to) and do a little bit of shopping now and again. So maybe the answer is a role reversal? I hope to stop work myself in about a year and by then he 'll be so entrenched in housework etc maybe I'll NEVER have to do anythhing
1.5 lbs off this week please Raph.. Really pleased with this as it included the challenges of my birthday and mothers' day - normally an excuse for me to go off piste. Thanks BB!0 -

Looby- loo, Hello and welcome, July 11th is about 15 weeks away, you could lose maybe up to 30lb by then if you lost 2lb every week. For me it would be more like 15lb in that time. Good luck with reaching your goals
Todays plan is
Milk allowance - 200 cals
40g Spec K inc milk 150 cals
Exercise - RC class with my mum @ 10am
L - Fish stew 350 cals
T - Chicken, potato, veg (approx 350)
Exercise - 30 mins Wii Fit step
2nd RC class of the day with my sister @ 8pm
Supper - 4oz grapes - 64 cals
10 mugs of juice 30 cals
I have my parents stopping for lunch again and then my sister is coming for the afternoon and for tea too so at least I have someone around to stop me going off the rails!
Good luck to those weighing in this morningFollowing :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -
