button, I'd go with what a friend of mine did - give it 10 minutes till he's got in, put on your coat, get your bag, put DD on his lap and say 'oh didn't i mention it? I'm off out for a bit.' And go. Even if you do what she did - get in the car, park around the car and chainsmoke for 30 minutes. Long enough that he had to look after the littleun, not so long that she was worried things could go wrong. She kept doing this once a week or so, until he realised that he could look after the baby too!

    Great pic sary!

yay beanie for getting motivated. just think you do your pelvic floor exercises at the same time if going to loo all the time gets dull.

Hey all! Just a flying visit...

Calorie counting went a bit out of the window last week - I was fine from Monday to Friday then decided to have the weekend off :p I know I ate more than usual on Saturday and Sunday. Wouldn't be surprised if the daily average was therefore slightly over 2000/day (this is high for me).

Weekly activity was also on the high side, but I had to make the most of the gorgeous weather!!! :D
    • Monday: Cycling 56km Thames Path etc 4h 05min (1437 cal)
    • Tuesday: Cycling to/from pool 54min (284 cal) and Swimming 50min (233 cal)
    • Wednesday: Cross country jog 3h 37min (1533 cal)
    • Thursday: Zilch
    • Friday: Run 31min (219 cal)
    • Saturday: Zilch
    • Sunday: Cycling 20min (117 cal) and Cross trainer 10 min (59 cal)
Total 10 hours 27 mins and 3884 calorie burn.

Good luck this week & sending positive vibes to anyone who needs them :)

  • Hi all,
Just to let you know that I won't be weighing myself until next week now as had a massive cheat yesterday (Roast potatoes and yorkshire pudding and I'm on a low carb diet). It was Mother's Day and I cooked for my mum, but I know that's not a good reason to cheat, but it was M&S food lol.

I find it demotivating if I've gained so it's better to wait until I've been on the straight and narrow for a week again. But I will post when I can. Good luck to you all this week!!

in a bit of a pondering mood. Obviously we've all got an ideal weight/size/look we'd like to get to but do you think there's a weight that our bodies will settle at and without an extreme (and potentially unhealthy) effort we won't go any lower?

dmv - I bet you had less calories in that meal than your usual daily allowance total anyway. If you're going to have a treat, then just enjoy it, and you can alter the next few days food intake to do a bit of damage limitation, or just do some extra exercise. It's all rather good training, if you think about it, because we will have to learn to enjoy normal meals interwoven with our healthy eating plans forevermore! Also remember that fish is really good for you!

Missy - I love reading your weekly exercise post - it just takes my breath away.

Vixtar - I think we do have weights that we plateau at, and a weight that we seem to naturally settle at. My settling weight is unfortunately considered obese! I think it's the weight I creep up to, and lose weight to, and then get stuck there. It's where I can stay if I eat between 1200-1500 cals a day. Anymore calories and I gain weight, any less and I'll usually lose.

Anyhoo - I am tired, and feeling the craving pangs to eat creeping up on me, so safer to get in bed, far away from the kitchen!

Food today was pretty much on plan:
    B - porridge (229 cal)
    L - chunky veg soup (166 cal)
    D - 2 quorn bangers, 2 eggs, veg (337 cals)
Snack - 1 nairns oat biscuit (43 cals)

I'm trying to get back into the swing of things as they were in early January to get losses like I had then. It's worth a try!

    Nite all!
