Usually a regular at Waitrose, but recently i have been trying supermarkets value brands, some things i didn't like but the kids have happily been munching away so i will buy again. The Asda Smart Price things we have tried:

Loo rolls - Small and you need twice as much, buy when skint.
Kitchen roll - ok and so cheap
lasagne sheets - can't taste any difference.
Crumpets - the kids ate them, i thought they were horrible.
    biscuits - the kids liked.
multipack crisps - small packs, not strong flavours, ideal for kids.
bio washing powder - my best buy
softner - softens but no scent.
squash - the kids like, mummy has her own nice juice.
carton of concentrated orange juice - very nice
porridge - smaller oats, tastes fine
    flour - no difference
marrow fat peas - weird colour, couldn't face tasting them.
tinned tuna - mush, otherhalf didn't notice though.
eggs - caged but will buy when skint
baked beans - kids eat, mummy has heinz
fish cakes, fish fingers frozen - kids eat
yorkshires - when i'm feeling lazy, cover in gravy.

Still get all our meat at waitrose.

Ive been using the smartprice and value ranges for years and find most of it great

    Likes

    Dried Pasta

    Rice

    Butter

    Lard

    Weetabix

Jam great for baking but not fruity enough for using on toast etc

    Honey

    Cooked Ham

    Fromage

Eggs yes I know they are from caged birds but my purse wont take the cost of the FR version

    Bacon and Bacon scraps

    Chilled Chocolate Mousses

    Frozen Veg

Tinned Veg all varieties excluding baked beans

    Washing Powder

    Bleach

    Toilet Cleaner

Dislikes and would never buy again

Gravy granules they are totally Horrid

    Baked Beans are like bullets

Soft Cheese (Dairylea)Its got a horrid rubbery texture

Fabric Conditioner it does soften but doesnt smell of anything

Spreadable Butter has a nasty after taste

    Cornflakes

    Toilet rolls definitely not moneysaving

Washing up Liquid I like bubbles and this stuff takes a whole bottle to create them

Yesterday I tried the ASDA SP Ready Salted Crisps, Multipack (12 in bag) for 46p, and I must say I really enjoyed them, much better than Walkers.
