I looked and can't find a thread for Asda's Smart price range. I have been trying this range for the last few weeks. Some things I have been pleasently surprised by.
I thought it would be nice if we had a thread were we try and then review a product....
Here goes:
sp Toilet Rolls - Very small and need to use twice as much - Wont buy again
sp Air Freshner - I thought it smelt quite nice - Would buy again
sp Furniture Polish - I thought was okay - Would buy again
sp Yorkshire Puddings - Tasteless - Would not buy again
sp Scones - Lovely - Would buy again
When I think of some more I'll add to the list. Please join in folks:D

the custard (in a tin) is about 18p and we like it0
-
we have the tinned tomatoes - all tastes the same once its made into bolognese!
and we have the lasagne sheets and cant tell the difference between them and brand name ones.
oh and i second the furniture polish aswell! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
I have been using the smart price biological washing powder for my OH working clothes and it gets them as clean as leading brand powder.0
-
we have just had som of the packet instant custard and it isnt very nice0

I don't like Asda Smartprice pasta, Morrissons Value pasta twists are much nicer!Refusing to Sit Down & Shut Up since 19740

SP Lasagne sheets are ok,
Oranges and satsumas are great
Grapes not so good cause the SP ones are seeded and my OH finds it too difficult to fiddle about with seeds.
Scones they are great I buy the big pack and freeze individually so I can take out when we have visitors or for quick breakfast.
Kitchen roll-okayish but you need alot to soak up a spill
Strawberries- Good again , but fruits fruit really:j
SP Flour and SR Flour- What can I say Flour is Flour to me
Think thats all I have tried yet, Great thread by the way :T
Kirsti xxThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Jelly is ok
Jam is a little bland and not very fruityReal men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.0 -
we will eat most sp tinned fruit or veg ,
again the toilet roll is rubbish
i always use sp flour
some of the biccies ,gingernuts are nice as are the custard creams
not keen on sp choc digestives
will use sp lemon cleaner0 -
I use sp bio washing powder all the time and it`s every bit as good as expensive brands - DS is a mechanic and it usually gets his clothes clean.
Prefer sp digestives to McV`s, but not so keen on rich teas. sp tomatoes, peas and carrots are all in my cupboard too - lots of pretty green and white tins. Lol.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

Smart price bread is horrid.
Smart price flour is fine.
Butter is ok, but I prefer country life
Oats are fine
Kids like the cereals - I don't.
Beans are ok
Tomatoes, no different to any other
Fruit and veg are ok, but don't seem to last as long as others.
I like the teabags - several people have also said they make a nice cup of tea. You do have to brew them a little longer though, but at 28p for 80, I'm not going to complain about that.
Soups are a bit, blah.
Fish fingers....yeuch.
Coffee..yuck. well, hub thinks so - I think it was ok. A little like mellow birds.Proud to be dealing with my debts :T
