washing up liquid - does the job and lasts as long as the next brand up
scrubby sponges - i get thru tons of these as they r so useful
white dishcloths - these rewash nicely
blue cloths - i use these to clean out my hamsters cage
polish - no real scent to it which i prefer, polishes well
    yellow dusters -
toilet cleaner - nice pine smell , brings my toilet up sparkly white
natural yoghurt -works well in smoothies
cat litter - does the job well enuf for my cat
gammon steaks - crisp up nicely nt too much fat on them either
lemonade - mixes well with vodka
    eggs - eggs r eggs
teabags - i like these and think their taste is fine
white wine - bit light tasting but ok
red wine - nice and soft tasting
turkey pieces - lovely in a curry but use some fat or liquid to cook them or they go dry
chopped tomatoes - buy loads of the cartons of these
kidney beans - cook well in a chilli
    pitta bread -
    crumpets -
soft cheese - nice and creamy, works well as a topping on a baked potato
sliced ham - ok in sandwiches
frozen cheese/tom pizza - nice as a quick tea
fabric softener - nt much scent which is good for me, doesnt make me itch
foil - useful for sandwich wrappings
swing bin liners - perfectly useable
    food bags -
    plastic storage tubs
cola - was ok but went flat very quick
    orange squash -
    orange juice -
vodka - ok but prefer a pricier option
handwash - decant into a ceramic one and no1 can tell the difference

    i didnt like;
bio laundry liquid - made me itch violently
    coffee - yuck!!!foul and bitter
shower gel - smelt like toilet cleaner
    lager - BBBBLLLLEEEEEUUUURRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!
ready meals - looked like slop
oven or fry chips - prefer aldi ones
wholemeal bread - goes mouldy very quickly
    gel boat fresheners - crap!!!!!
    thin bleach -

im a loyal sainsburys basics fan and i find tht theres hardly any diff btween the basics range and the smartprice range!!!!!![/QUOTE]

ASDA Smartprice Smoked Cooking Bacon Pieces (500g) - Ideal for cooking, small broken bits of bacon :)
ASDA Smartprice Baked Beans & Sausages in Tomato Sauce (420g) - @ only 29p I can not believe how much a enjoy these. Genuinely nice and not as salty as beans from aldi or lidl
ASDA Smartprice Chilli Con Carne (392g) - @ 50p, lovely! Can't fault it one bit.
ASDA Smartprice Custard Creams (400g) - @ 30p... I LOVE THESE, would pick these even if I got offered branded for free!

bought asda smartprice tomato soup today 17p for a 400g tin, tastes good but could stand a bit of water or milk to thin it down a bit

I just opened some Lemon curd (22p) it's quite nice for a change on toast.
  • Just had smartprice golden vegetable savoury rice. Verdict - does the job, but I wouldn't choose it again unless I was really skint (after all, a meal for 28p or whatever, can't complain)

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker
Smartprice Dust Pan and Brush - not recommended

The edge to the dust pan is rubbish and it's hard to sweep things into it without them falling out again.
