((((hugs)))) for you Sunnygirl and your family

Csarina yes I watched the prog about the Amish last night. It's a very confusing way of life isn't it, the family were very brave to sort of go it alone and then they were welcomed back into the fold again. Hope their little girl recovers, they seemed such a lovely family.

Worked half day on Mon and Tues so have today off. Work in a prison library and had to press alarm bell yesterday for first time after working there for many years after a fight broke out. Never a dull moment :D Got to go to Lakeland today, thought I was buying a yoghurt maker only to bring home sachets by mistake  Wonder what I will come home with this time!!

Got some sausages in freezer so think we will have jacket pots and beans with some cheese that needs using up to go with them tonight.

    Have a good day all.

SunnyGirl - give it a few days & I am sure you will see some improvements in your dad - it takes a little while for everything to settle after a stroke & for any immediate things like speech to start to return.

HockeyDuo - hope your OH was on dry land & not getting wet in the North Sea last night?

Csarina - I've recorded it as it looked interesting - am looking forward to watching now after the recommendations

    Have a good day all

  • Good morning Everybody......SunnyGirl, you are moved to the TOP of my prayer list.......:A

I am getting my organic food box delivered later, so I will be thinking about cooking. I just could not do without that Remoska.......the oven rarely gets used these days.....

I have plenty of housework to do today....but once again lay in until 7.30 so I have not finished my first coffee yet. So, I am contemplating.......laundry, hoover, changing bed linen, yes contemplating.......

I will check back later for ideas on what to cook........:rotfl:
Today, my BEST is good enough.

Sunnygirl - my thoughts are with you, your dad and your family today, I know as well how hard it is to leave someone you love in hospital. It difficult when a parent is ill as they suddenly in many ways become the child and you become the parent. Good to see you are thinking about practical things as well with your soup! Us women are ever prepared!

Very misty day down here on South Coast very unusual. Got a lot of cooking to do today
    • Roasted BNS soup
    • Hot cross buns (Mr T brought eggs!)
    • Bread
    • Fishcakes to freeze (Yuk, hate fish, its for the girls)
    • clean bathroom
    • clean our bedroom
    • get rid of glue on the floor:o
    • Make Nut Loaf
I find it useful to write a list on here as I feel I'm committing to doing these things rather than write them on a to-do list at home! More chance of getting them done!

Hope everything is good with everyone else. Spring is definatly in the air, the girls & I have been spotting crocus flowers in blooms, snowdrops, daffodils and catkins lately so it can't be far away! I love spring, warmer days, no hats and gloves, flowers and plants waking up from their sleep. The best time is when the fruit trees come into blossom. Driving round in the car we play a game to spot the next pink tree!
Heres something to keep us going and make you smile til it really arrives.

    Good morning all!

Posting and running at the mo, so sorry if I miss stuff, but lots of hugs to all xx Normal service will be resumed next week!

Gloomy and drizzley weather here today! The kids will still be dog walking though, cos it gets them out of my hair for an hour - no so sure the poor dog is keen though!

DS dug over my veg patches yesterday, and found a huge bags worth of potatoes, they look lovely, going to have them baked tonight with beef casserole.

Took my friend whoopsie hunting yesterday - she was astounded by the amount you could find just by looking hard! Anyway we did most of her weeks shopping for next week, huge amount cheaper than normal for her! Asda were reducing meat like nobodies business - some of it with days to go! Fresh veg weren't reduced by much, except for maris pipers which were down to 50p, real bargain there!

Not sure what we're up to today, poss taking the kids out somewhere cheap and cheery. Lunch will be hm pizza, dough is already in bm, and we will make some more puds - kids were really excited making pineapple upside down cake yesterday, not to mention the iced buns and twinks!

OS will once again be mainly cooking, wm and bm on, floors need mopping and hoovering as well, kitchen and bathroom will be getting a lick and a promise!

Have a good day all xx

  • SunnyGirl - hugs to you doll, so sorry to hear about your Dad, hope he gets better soon.x

Well this morning didn't get off to a great start. Flicked on telly to hear in the news about those rig workers having a lucky escape when their helicopter went down last night. My OH is due to fly to his rig today and I freaked out and ended up on the phone to him in tears.
Probably one of my worst nightmares on tv right in front of me. So glad the boys and the pilots landed safely and everyone alive; it is very rare for anyone to survive these incidents.

Anyway thanking my lucky stars OH wasn't going last night and try to focus on positives rather than worrying.
We will hear today if our offer on a house we like is goign to be accepted or turned down. We went in quite low so expecting it to be rejected so we can increase it if we want.

OS today well I will clean the flat when I get in tonight before training ad have a bag of clothing to go to the clothing bank at lunchtime. Food today is sandwich but no idea for tea.

Went to Confessions of a Shopaholic last night. Very funny indeed and could definitly identify with the main character.A good night out with the girls anyway.

Hugs all round, stay safe xxx
